I received call from this number threatening me about civil charges on me and I will get arrested within two hours. I told him to hold on and told him I am recording this call. Then he started talking about transfering call to his senior. I realized it's all fake and hung up the call.

I am reporting this incident so that others will be aware of this type of threating and fake call. Be aware.

Received a call from them today... telling me that he was an investigator with the NY State Police and was inquiring if other investigators had contacted me. When I told him I did not believe he was from the state police and that I would call them to verify he started raising his voice and trying to force the conversation. At this point I hung up. There is no way that the NY State Police would be calling me from a NJ phone number. lol

It is a scam / fraud and a violation of the Federal Trade Commission. If you were harassed by them file a complaint with the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/  (Do not send them any money or give out your identification information, even if they have it don?t confirm It.) file the complaint with the F.T.C. and if you did send money file a report with your local police department.

They called saying I was gonna be arrested and they were going to call my job and to tell them. At first I though it was weird because I never heard of an indian named Mike or an indian being a cop.

I have received numerous calls from 973-796-3910, caller states he is with Department of State and an officer (Very heavy Indian accent) and there are 3 cases against me and if I would call back at this number immediately and God bless me on this illegal cases. Needless to say, sounded like a scam, so I looked up the number to see what others had to sat.

Received a phone call from the same poor english speaking fellow who is supposed to be from lawyer's office.  

They don't like it when you call them back and tell them you are recording them for quality assurance purposes.

They don't have anything to say after that.

Said that the Police Department would arrest me. told I would handle it when the police arrested me.

I got a call from work regarding me being arrested due to the financial owes that I never had, this person is Indian accent beware this company, the 973 area code is coming from New Jersey. I reported to state police this phone # and they they will track it down, be careful do not give any information especially your SS # and your bank name, account they will take your money. There is a indian peron calling me at my job and on my cell saying I have three criminal charges filed against me and that i need to call right away or I will be arrested. It happened after I applied for a loan on the internet. But I never excepted the loan. So I dont understand what this is?

I have been receiving calls from this number threatening me with arrest if I do not pay them $1,800.00 dollars and in lieu of the paying that amount they are willing to take $300.00 dollars. The calls have become to outrageous that the male placing the call had call me a Bi*** and F****n Bi***.

Got a call from this number. Indian guy in a call center said he was Adam Smith from Department of State. Said I had a civil action proceeding against me. I called the local county sheriff and gave them this number and info.

I was called by Starnet and told if I did not come up with $750 they would come out and arrest me and my 2 daughters. They have threatened me numerous times over the phone.

Lalo, you are 100% correct. I work for a university and we have been receiving phone calls from multiple numbers listed above from heavy accent easterners who aer very abusive and abrasive. The people they are asking for no longer work for our company and they tell us we are lying. When we ask to speak to a manager, they yell back that we are in no position within our company to request such information from them. I'm checking with our legal department for ways to end the calls but we can't even know what number of huindreds that come to our main switchboard these people are calling. This jackbag took it too far today when he had his auto dialer set with our number programmed in and was blowing up our lines and just playing music. He will efectively force you to shut down you phones. This is  nightmare for a corporation as big as the one one work for. BEWARE!!!

I started receiving phone calls last week from 973-796-3910.  they never left a message and each time i called back no one would answe the phone I got a weird voice mail message and i hung up.  Well on yesterday, Mr. Edward Smith who claims to be an officer with State Investigation Dept. said i owe money and my case is being downloaded and i will be arrested.  I told the officer first of all i don't have any internet loans and please stop calling my cell phone making false accusations.  Then he called me worked and left two harassing messages about he has my social security number and i will be prosecuted if i don't call him back to pay this outstanding loan.   I didn't call him but i did go online to fill out a complaint with state attorney general office, federal trade commission, people please be aware this is indeed a scam and do not be fooled by this greedy, deceitfful con artists trying to take advantage of innocent, harding working people.

I received a threat call from this number saying I had a loan the guy said his name was Mark something  and  then another guy called saying he was an officer in regards to this loan he said his name was Allen Perisch he keeps calling me from this number 215-809-1454. They said  I better pay today.  I was instructed to go to a  Walgreens and get a green dot prepaid card for paypal and  that is when I thought it sounded fake...when they mentioned paypal.  Both men had heavy accents. I had applied online with pay day loan places and had entered a  lot of my information which they were able to pick up on.  They keep saying they will have me arrested if I don't pay this today!!!  Please look into this.  Thank you!
