I got this call today while seeing patients in the hospital, didn't answer it.  No message left.  This is annoying.  Do they really think we are stupid enough to give them our information.  Idiots.

just got a phone call from this number, they asked for my  husband. I said I was his wife so they said they were BOA and needed to dicsuss business on my account. But first needed me to verify some information before they can speak to me.  I proceeded to say that THEY called me and should know who they are speaking to.   I then said How do I know this is BOA and not someone trying to SCAM me.  she hung up.   Called number back, disconnected.

Claims to be "Moses Farmer" from Bank of America....   yeah right.

Are these idiots total unaware of Caller ID ? I am a german,  I have to use a translater just to rite this. I don't think any of them speak german but that donot stop them. How do I stop this ?

They called and asked for me I said I was him. They told me that someone was trying to get into my checking account, and that they need to make sure that they were talking to the right person. So they asked me for the proper spelling of my name and my DOB and my account number. I gave them the info that they wanted to know. I misspelled my Name Then Gave them the wrong DOB and I made up an account number. MY REASON FOR THIS IS I DID NOT HAVE AN ACCOUNT WITH BOA AND WOULD NEVER HAVE ONE WITH THEM. i LIKE MY BANK HERE IN LOUISANA. SO TRY GIVING THE WRONG INFO AND SEE WHAT THEY SAY.

Received a call.. Missed it by a moment and returned the call thinking it was a client. "this number is not in service" recording. NEVER a good sign. Thanks for all that take the time to post fraudulent activity.

Received a call from this number today,  They claimed to be card services for Wachovia, I gave my name and address but became uneasy when they asked for birthday.    DO NOT GIVE BIRTHDAY,  SSN OR ANY CARD NUMBERS.

Called number back b/c no message left, and it said the number had been disconnected 2 hrs after i got the call.

I received three calls from a similar number within two hours the other day, but I didn't answer. Those were from 973-848-5719.  Today I received a call from 973-848-5720.  I answered.  He asked to speak to Laura.  When I told him I was Laura I was disconnected.  I didn't get a call back.  Hmmm.  I decided to call the number back after reading these posts, and sure enough, the number has been disconnected.  I then tried the 973-848-5719 number.  The call was almost immediately answered--by an electronic system that asked me to hold while I was transfered.  I didn't have any desire to wait to find out who it was, so I hung up.

Certainly does sound phishy to me.

Thanks to those who posted before me so I knew to be suspicious and check it out!

Just got a call from 9738485720 claimed to be Bank of America to discuss an account, called number back, numbered disconnected

Caller (American, no accent) said she was calling for Bank of America about my Comerica account.  When I asked how it could be possible that my credit card bank could be calling about my checking account at another bank, she insisted that my Comerica account was through BofA.

I guess we're lucky that most scammers are idiots, and trip themselves up.

Says from Bank of America.Called BofA and gave the number they said it's a phishing scam.

Don't know who they are, or why they call.  No name.

"verizon conferencing" is a service people use when they want a specific number to display and it allows you to "conference" a call for free. Really, it is simply a vehicle for scammer who manage to get some of your information and try to scam you into something. They are usually foreigners w/ accents.

Claims to be Bank of America as well. I contacted BOA and they said they did not try to call me regarding my account, and reported it.

they call and it's an automated system...NO IDEA who they are....I don't have a Bank of America Card EITHER!

I just received another call from this number.  PLEASE STOP CALLING MY NUMBER!!!

This is a call from FIA Services on behalf of B of A my caller ID shows this is a New Jersey number  I received two calls from this number 8:25 pm last evening and 8:27 am this morning. FIA Services has been calling numerous times everyday using the above number or a number my caller ID shows as a California number 626-666-6754. If you want to get rid of them don't answer the calls just send them a Do Not Call letter and if they ignore it this puts you in the position of filing a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission and or sending lawyers after them!

This person called my place of work and asked me my mother's maiden name.  I refused to disclose this, and he said he was calling to discuss my relationship with Bank of America.  I asked him why he needed my mother's maiden name to dicuss this, and he said that he would not answer my questions until I told him her name.  I sharply told him NEVER to call my place of business again - and that I would report him if he called again.  The number he called from, when I called it back is NOT from any collection agency, it was not in service.  Why would a collector call you at work, and ask for personal information like that?  A total scam!

GOT A CALL FROM THIS # SAID SHE WAS FROM B OF A STARTED TO ASK FOR INFO. I TOLD HER I WOULD CONTACTED B OF A. TRIED TO CALL # BACK GOT RECORDING SAYING # NO LONGER IN SERVICE. WENT TO BANK THEY SAID IT IS A SCAM # DO NOT GIVE OUT INFO.
