Same infomation on other numbers with an India-Speeking man with an American names giving me information about a friend and that I should call back. He states to be ready for the worst nightmare of my life, etc. I filed a complaint with the Attorney General of New Jersey several months ago, so the information is spreading. ITS ALL A SCAM - DO NOT RESPOND DO NOT CALL AND GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION. If this was a legitimate Police call, they certainly wouldnt call and use such language, they would speak clearer, and definitely not in a room where you can hear people probably scamming the next unsuspecting citizen. When are we going to take America back people? Get out there and vote and get these P.O.S. politicians out of office and get someone else in there who cares.

I got a call from my job staying I have had this number call them all day and I needed to get in touch with a John Peterson in the Dept of Crime & Prevention and gave me the number. I ALWAYS check numbers on the net before I ever do any calling. Much to my suprise, I work as a civilian contractor for the gov, and i don't give ANYONE my work info. I don't apply for anything that has the contractors info on it, I am self employed as I call it. So I wonder how they got my info.

I got the same call at lunch today with Jason Roberts leaving a message to call him.  I asked what company and he said they have nine floors and he is legal.  He put me through to his supervisor stating same arrest and legal crap.  He was from Dept of Crime and Prevention.  I would be arrested at work today or home.  Idiot indians has really pissed me off.  I told him to bring it on I work in a Prison.

This poor english speaking jamaican or nigerian scammer says he is officer Jason Roberts (yah, right) is calling me darn near everyday and also called my sister! Must be some sort of scam or collection agency for a payday loan.  Says he will block out my social security number, this is a time sensative matter and to have me call or my attorney call because I will be arrested, face legal consequences and will be visited at my workplace or residence.  Gave my last four digits of my social security number, so must be some sort of collection agency or scam.  Sending report to the attorney general.

This guy just called here claiming 3 international federal violations and i was going to jail before tomorrow.  He said I should call the police and inform them of any parole or probation violation (never EVER had anything like that), that I should call work and tell them I am being arrested for international check fraud and violation of banking laws.  Would not give phone number but came through as a local phone number on the caller ID.  Heavy Indian accent, many people in background and when I told him this was in bankruptcy for repayment he said he was sorry and I won't be bothered anymore.  Obvious fraud call to get money but wouldn't even tell me the name of the company he was calling for.  Finally gave a 973-854-4264 number.

Got another call from them at 7:15 in the morning (MDT).  This time he identified himself as Officer Jason Roberts and that I had a payday loan that had to be paid.  I asked who the payday loan was with and it was something I have never heard of.  They had my name, last four digits of SS# and my address.  I told him that I would not be sending any money to a company with no name.  He put his supervisor on the phone, (Officer Mike Edward)who proceded to tell me that they would take my SS# down and I told them to go for it.  He then proceded to tell me I would be his worse nightmare and I told him "No" I would be his and I knew who he was and he better watch out.  He then proceded to tell me to F*** off at which time I told him to do the same and hung up. It comes in as a different number, a 1-618 and the return number is the one we have all be told to call.  It is a private unlisted number.  Can this be turned into the phone company?

P.S. the number comes in as an unknown name but he leaves you his call back number as 1-973-854-4264.

I got a call from Mike from this number and he said he was from the crime investigation unit and that if I didnt pay him 650.00 that I would be charged with 3 different fed charges, so I told him that I would pay it, then I called the trade commision and then my family attorney and they both said it was a scam, then after looking up this number and saw what they were doing, filed a report with the sherrifs department.

This guy "officer" mike. Duche,  calls me and gives me my 4 digit social...how the heck did he do that???????  Identity theft basterd.  We need to find out this person(s) that are doing this.  Last i thought i was in the USA not freakin India. hahahaha.

This bastard just called me at 12 noon claiming to be from the Federal Crime Investigation Unit...says he is Officer Mike Edwards...he sounds like a robot and there are tons of people in the background...which I agree with JJ, who are probably doing the same thing to other people. He said a company filed a lawsuit against my sister-in-law and the numbers he had were not working so he needed me to give her the message to call him at this number immediately. I tried to find out more information from him because honestly I was quite nervous in the beginning, but he gave me nothing, he just kept saying to have my sister in law call him immediately. I contacted the Sheriff's office and they instructed me the crime is not a crime until he gets the information and does something with it...so BEWARE DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS MAN! He done pissed me off got me all upset over nothing!

Wow! These people contacted my brother stating I was involved in a internet check fraud case and he would be arrested by the FBI if I did not contact them. I called and the phone was passed from person to person at first then a man with an foreign accent got on the line. I proceeded to demand he stop calling my brother and then he began to curse at me and say obscene things. I hung up on him and he called right back and left a message saying I needed to call him back immediatly or prepare fo the worst nightmare of my life! I immediatly called my local FBI branch and reported the incident.

OMG, I have gotten the same calls and they come before 8 in the morning which is against fair collection laws, but these foreign speaking people (and I am being nice when I call them that) don't give a s**t if they break the law.  I was told it would be in my best interest to return the call or I would experience the worst nightmare of my life.  Obviously they don't do a lot of research as to who they are calling.  If they want a nightmare, bring it the f**c on-------------I am ready for those raghead bastards-done being nice.

Called at 8 am claiming to be from a Crime Prevention unit.  They said if I didn't give my credit card number right away my son would be arrested right away. Report these people to the police so we can stop them!

Called my home phone number and left a message on machine saying to contact them because I had a lawsuit filed against me and something about my "social".....and to call this number.  Could not understand this person - had terrible speach.
