I'm glad I saw this thread! Tonight was the second time I got a call like this. The first time was from a 714 area code and the guy (thick accent) said that I had charges against my SS# and I needed to call back to speak with his supervisor! Of course, I didn't do anything. So tonight, I received a phone call from a 925 area code (which I didn't answer) and there was a very rude message from an officer Jack Wilson saying that I would be arrested and that they were going to come to my work and take both me and my supervisor to court! Sure enough, I talked to somebody at work and they said somebody with a thick accent had called looking for me and my co-worker immediately thought "SCAM"! I called back the number "officer Wilson" left for me and told them I knew it was a scam and to please stop calling me and my work....the guy hung up on me! I am so annoyed, mostly because they are using my personal information to harass me but also because my work is getting really upset! I know that they feel bad for me and don't blame it on me, but they are also getting really annoyed by the phone calls!  How do we stop these guys?

Received a message from number 973-929-2279 on 5/9/11 from the legal dept. of ACS.  Yeah, right.  The guy was obviously Indian and he said don't disregard this message, it is extremely time sensative, and that there is a legal case filed against me.  If so, why haven't I heard anything from the court system by now?

Officer James Wilson calls me AT WORK but from the number 347-709-1643. I have told him first of all to stop calling at work and took his info and then when I got home to return his call he wouldn't give me any information except saying that I owe money for a payday loan that I have NO knowledge of. But we got in a heated argument because he got very upset that I told him that it was illegal to represent himself as an officer when infact he ISN'T. I hung up on him and didn't hear from him for more than a year but now he's calling again! How can I get this to stop?

Some guy calls pretending to be officer Joe Brown from the legal department of ACS.  This is a total scam as I have never had business with this place, but somehow they stole my information from somewhere.

I too had many calls from these people, I finally was fed up with them this morning.  I was arguing with a "Steele Matthews", I told him he was a fraud.  I kept repeating "you're a fraud", and he said if you don't let me talk I will call you a thousand times.  So, I let my friend handle the call.  We started harrassing them.  We called every 5 minutes for 5 hours.  I told him, I had nothing to do today, and I know I don't owe anyone anything.  I told them to send the cops to get me.  After the 12th call, he started hanging up on me.  I still called back again, and again.  Then, I said to him, how does it feel when someone constantly call you to harass you.  He just told me "F%$^ Y&%" and hung up.  I even went as far as posting fake ads on craigslist with this guys number advertising $50 ipads.  Then, i called him to ask if he like those phone calls. I vow to do this persistantly for the next 3 days. So far, it has worked, I haven't received any more call from them today. I advise everyone to constantly call and harass them until they stop their nonsense.  Tell them, you are officer so and so from the local police dept, you will be guaranteed a hangup!

These people are calling my work number and haressing my co-worker. I have talked with them exrtensively over the phone about this matter nd they continue to call. I don't own the m and i am not going t opay them. I ask them for prooff that i owe and they can't provide that information because i don't owe them.

they are calling me as well, at least my cell phone. not yet my work thank god. but you need to file a complaint

I recieved a call from a 000000000 number and upon answering of course there is a man who calls himself Shawn Black but with an indian accent stating that he is calling from ACS representing CashAdvance USA and my file is going to my local courthouse charging me with check fraud, etc.   I asked when did I take a loan from this company and he studder and said October of 2010.  I stated and you waited 6 months to contact me?   He said that they submitted the check from my account several times and it was not honored.   I asked how much was the loan and he stated it was $300 but not with all the fees it is up to $1160.  I stated why has nothing been mailed to me or a call made before it goes to court.   He could not respond.   I stated that this sounds like a scam.   He stated oh no!   I told him I need to check this out because he could not give me proof that I owed the money.   I have never had an account with this company and there was no deposit made to my account.   These people have called me again several times on my cell and at work.  I told them I was not going to pay and they in turn called to speak with my supervisor which is me.   I told them that this is phone harassment and that they can proceed to court.   BEWARE< BEWARE....scammer are looking for an opportunity to get your money.   I will be reporting this to all to be aware.   If you give this call know that it is a scam

People, dont be scared! :)) My husband called them like 50 times back :) just to be annoying then i called them, and they put it me on hold every time. But when my husband called them the first time, they told him or you are gonna get arrested and stuff, my husband said ok, then they started calling him a moth******er, n****r, f**, all kinds of names, my husband couldnt stop laughing, they cant do anything even if they know your information. ITS A SCAM! You can call FBI to report them, but they are looking for them since 2004. the more people report them, hopefully they can catch them faster. dont be afraid. oh and about the jobs thing, they called my job, i told my manager be an a***ole to them:) And my Boss was very rude to them and they never called back, if they will they are gonna receive the same F*** Off all the time!

I have been contacted by these people for about 3 years!!  The first time I got the call, I panicked and worried that they would come and arrest me for a debt I knew nothing about!!  Knowledge is POWER! It was such an empowerment to find others here who had the same experience as me and know that if I ever did talk to them again, I could blast them with the truth.  Unfortunately, that did not stop their calling!
I can avoid these calls at home, and do on a daily basis, but they have begun to call my work.  Luckily, I am a teacher and I have talked to our receptionist about the situation and she is good to take their harrassment almost every day.  (It does stop for a few months at a time!)  
I feel terrible for the people who could potentially lose their jobs from the calls of these monsters.  There has to be a way to stop them.  This has to come to the attention of authorities wo can end this once and for all!!

No, they cannot have your license revoked. It is a pure scam.

A debt collector contacted my job and curse out my HR department, the HR department contacted me directly and gave me the information and advise me to tell them not to contact me at work. I called 973-929-2279 the person I spoke to was so rude and nasty, I asked him not to contact my job, he immediately starting screaming and called me a stupid american b***. I'm shocked that this is even legal saying he is gonna have me locked up, and my nursing license remove if I dont pay this debt. I asked him for a debt verification he immediately kept saying, whats your 16 digit credit card #. No way I will give you that with out proof of this debt or at least the fees attached. Please help me they call from 000-000-0000 on my caller id.Is this legal can they have my nursing license revoke over a debt. Im freaking out, please help me

A so called officer Joe Brown called from this number about a legal matter.  I ignore the calls since it is a scam.  I have reported them in the hopes that they stop calling me at home and work.  This is getting annoying.

I got a call today from Sean Black. He said i tooked a loan in oct 2010 and it was for 300$ and now coz all the fees and stuff its 502.00 so he said that i have to call them tomorrow at 10 oclock to let him know what i wanna do pay them or the police will arrest me. and i will be behind bars. anyways i checked my statement for oct 2010 and its clean there is nothing there that shows CashAdvance. The scary part is that they know all my information. they know my card number, my social, my address. WTF? i get a phone call from them every couple months. anyways i just want this to stop. if anybody knows how or what to do let us know. Coz there is a lot of people.

I have received 4 phone calls from them today (inbound call number is +00000), telling me there is a criminal case against me. He (Office David somebody- POOR english) immediately want my SSN, which I won't give. I tell him I want the criminal case number, and he transfers me to his 'supervisor'. I ask for the case number (NSG0804113402-??) and where the complaint was filed. He says TN, and it is in regards to a cash advance loan. I tell him: 1) How can you give me a case number when you haven't even figured out who I am? 2) I have never lived in TN and 3) Why would I pay you?

He then proceeded to tell me the amount was $300, but with fees and costs, it totaled $525. If I paid them now, it would avoid it. Then they would start contacting my employer (a name I did not even recognize). I told him I would prefer to have the 'criminal case' proceed, then told him the conversation has been recorded. Boy, did he curse and hang up lightning fast!!

I have recieved two calls about 6 months apart from these people.  The first time, they only had the last 4 digits of my SSN and this time, they had my whole SSN and my driver's license number.  Last time they called, they said that they were a law office, but then swore at me and it really pissed me off.  I called the local police, and they said that there was nothing that they could do.  This time, he told me that he was a police officer and that I'm going to be arrested at my work tomorrow.  These scammers or whatever they are HAVE to be stopped.  I was surprised to see how many people have posted that the've gotten these bogus calls.  Why isn't something being done?!  They're obviously stealing peoples' information and doing God knows what with it... I don't like it and the cops won't do anything... if anyone has gotten a resolution out of this situation, please post it!

Once again the man with a thick accent called wanting by brother.Now his name is officer Max Taylor. What an American name for a man with an accent from India. This man got an ear full from me this time.Then he told me I was going to jail. Bring it on a am an upstanding American citizen that does not break the law. So maybe they will stop calling after I told him off. He had the nerve to say My voice was annoying. I will keep posting on this web site until they stop calling. I hope Law Enforcement gets them quickly.

I received a call from 973-929-2279 at my place of employment stating that his supervisor needs to talk to me.  This person gets on the phone and tells me that his name is Dennis.  I then ask what company are you calling with they tell me ACS.  I then ask for the phone number and they gave me that number, then I inform them that I know that this is a scam and that I am going to report them to the FTC, my local authorities and the FBI he then starts saying very nasty things to me and calling me nasty names, I hang up they call right and ask if this is the W***e that they just spoke with I start pushing the buttons on my phone, then they start calling and have all my lines at work tied up.  I did make a report with the local police department, they have my SS#, my Address my work number my work address.  This is very scarely to me.

this  number is from collection agency. left me a message at my work threatening me. that i should return call immediately. i don't owe anyone money except my mortgage com.

i just got a call from 000 000 0000 the voice of a person claiming that he is an officer and that i should return his call at 973.929.2279 he claimed that there is a law suit against me. and that i am being investigated.

I have received the same message. I don't owe these people anything. The number that comes up on caller id is 000-000-0000. They are really getting on my nerves.

I got a call saying that he would call me a 1000 times if I didn't pas on a message  for him. I did and found that they did not know anything of what he was talking about. he sounded like he was from over seas. He was very rude and I hung up he called three times.
