They get paid by the phone pickup on your part. when a connection is made they get maybe 25 cents to 50 cents for just chatting with you. If you take up their offer even more of a bonus for them. That is why you get robocalls. They are dialing a bunch of numbers and waiting until someone picks up. And then the call back.

They randomly called the wrong person one time too many in egregious violation of Federal and State statutes. I reached out to my contacts at the proper Federal agencies and they are poised for a joint Federal, State and local law enforcement task force raid and will arrest everyone answering the phone on behalf of these identity theft fraudsters. This will be widely covered by the national and local media and every participating fraudster's name will be published. You can then give them a call while they are incarcerated and ask if them if they want to lower their interest rate. This will be a lesson to all telephone fraudsters, knock, knock we're at your door.

Multiple calls from this number.

I have been receiving calls for the last year " this is Rachel from credit card services would you like to lower your interest rates ". I have used all the swear words I know, however, dear, sweet Rachel keeps calling back. If someone can give me her address I will go there and make sure she never calls again.

Called at 7:02 PM said it was Rachel from card Holder services. That is when I hung up, this make numorus calls I've received from this person. Caller ID shows a Wireless number.
Before have said they want to discuss my interest rates, although they don't mention any cards, such as Visa, MC, etc.

Rude as hell. Said the company name is Credit Card Services for MasterCard and Visa. Wanted to know if I currently owed more that $3000 on my credit card (what card?). Hung up on me when I said no.

Called at 12:27pm today November 24 2010  No message!

These crooks keep calling me, saying there is nothing wrong with your credit cards but they want to lower my rate.  I hang up because if have talked with my card card company and this is not one of there sales person. Beware they want your credit card number and personal information.  (IDT) Why can't we get rid of these people/criminals.

I pressed 9 to tell them that I am on the do not call list, the guy told me to go f myself.?

Just go the same phone call 3 times in a row, but didn't answer the phone.  (I tend to not pick up if I don't know who the caller is, as it is on my cell phone.) No message was left, but I remembered that I had been getting calls from the same number about a month ago.  I googled the number, and here I am.  While it is validating to me, knowing that I am not the only one being harrassed, I have to wonder...where is this guy getting my phone number in the first place? And how can I report him?

Sorry to hear about your ordeal Susan. He just called me too. The exact same speach as what you reported. I told him I don't even own a credit card, which I don't. I only have a debit card. He then asked to speak with my mother. I said, well if you can do that then please let me know if you reach her, because I would love to speak to her too, because she passed away 11 years ago. I told him I was 48 years old. He ignored what I just told him and was talking over me everytime I tried to tell him not to call here anymore. He then said go to hell and hung up on me. This has to be a scam. Telemarketers don't resort to screaming and making threats using profane language unless it's a scam.

I just received the exact same call. He identified himself as Mark. No last name was given. He said he was calling to lower my interest rate on my credit card. I don't own a credit card. After I told him this, I said to remove me from his calling list. He then replied, so you want me to call you back on Friday then? I said, NO!! I don't wan't you to call me back at all! He then said have a nice Thanksgiving, and I will attempt to call you again on Friday, then he hung up on me!

credit card services scam call

just got a call from the number this afternoon.  they didn't identify themselves clearly and went right to talking about credit card services.  i immediately hung up. on my caller id it said that the caller was using a wireless phone.

Claims to be calling to reduce credit card interest rate on all cards we have.  I told him to not call my house anymore and he became beligerent and rude.  I told him I felt he was a fraud and he got upset with me.  Then claimed I was talking over him so I hung up.  This is about the fourth time they've called.

CC scam to lower interest rate. I called the # back and they can't take calls at this time. ANOTHER SOB NEEDS to get action against them. I will pursue this.

I cannot believe that the federal government cannot stop these crooks. They have been calling for months and we have told them to not call. We are on the Federal Do Not Call Registry.
These people need to be taken out.

They kept calling our number (lower credit card rates - I don't have one) - so I finally pushed 9 to speak to an operator - simply to tell them to remove my number from their call list.  The bastard hung up on me straight away.  Reporting to all agencies out there I can find, sick of these people!

A call each day for the last few days.  A recorded message is left saying, "...by continuing to listen to this message, you acknowledge that you are Jimmy J. Moody..."  -- a guy I never heard of.  Don't know how they got this number -- unless this guy gave the number as his.  Obviously collections of some kind.  So sick of this -- they call in cycles, then it stops for a while.  If I'm away & don't call in for messages, these calls eat up the space on my answering machine.  I'd love to call and leave a choice message for THEM.

I received a call from 973-372-2288 stating that they are calling from card services, there is nothing wrong with my card but they can reduce my interest rate to 6.5%... I hung up and called the number back only to get a message saying that the system is not taking calls and then a click, click. I shopped at Walmart this morning and I believe that someone is trying to get me to give them information.. My daughter account was emptied a few weeks ago after she shopped at Walmart and Walgreens.

Credit Card Services - I pressed 9 and asked to be taken from their call list.  The caller said "you want us to call you on Friday?"  "No"   "Ok, we'll call you on Friday.  Have a nice Thanksgiving."  *click*

Apparently this Mark is very busy today, because I just received a call from him. He gave me the same sales pitch that he was calling to lower the interest rate on my credit card. When I told him that I don't have a credit card because my husband closed my accounts three years ago when we divorced, he accused me of being a liar. I told him I don't care if you believe me or not, don't ever call here again. He began screaming at me at the top of his lungs. I quickly ended the call, but it left me visibly shaken. My daughter had to come over and calm me down. I'm not use to people calling me and screaming at me like that, espeically from a telemarketer. I smell a scam.

I too received a call from this company, but I've managed to get rid of them without breaking a sweat.

I have a disconnected sound wave recorded on my answering machine, so any of the telemarketing, debt collection, or fake credit card services who calls and hears this pre-recorded tone, instantly believes they have a number that's TRULY been disconnected.

I recommend everyone tries it and see how it works for themselves.  Just make sure you tell your relative and friends, cause they will be fooled too!

call me and machine says press 9 to talk to a credit card debt consolidation counselor.  I pressed 9 to request my number removed from their calling list, the person hung up instantly.
