I just got a call from an  Idian who said his name was Peter and told me that my computer was corrupted
my Windows7 was slowing down. Gave me the same  number you all got, told me he  was calling from Gtech Corp. to look  it up and I call back to personally ask for Peter.
I have received a text from this number before that someone has tampered with my credit cards.
This is an obvious scam that have be victimizing some people.

Received call from person claiming to "from Windows". He wanted to repair my computer and sell  me a warranty. I asked for a number where I could verify he was from Windows. After I repeatedly insisted,  he gave me the number
I called the number and someone answered who, after three inquiries, claimed she was
with a company that worked "with Windows to repair laptops and Windows." Her first response had been to give me her name only.

I terminated the call from the man who, obviously with deception, claimed he was "from "Windows."

I received two calls today from 973-975-0970. First caller, "Sheena" introduced herself as working for Windows Microsoft. When I asked her where she was located she said, "New York, Delaware". After telling me Microsoft had received messages from my computer that it was having problems she was asked to call to help. Following more questions from me I asked for a phone number to call her back in case I decided to pay a one time fee of only $39.00 for lifetime Microsoft tech assistance to remove Spyware or any other attacks on my computer. Nothing about her call sounded right. I had no intention of calling hr back.

Four hours later I rceived a call with our caller ID indicating the call was from Texas. The male voice indicated he was calling from Windows Microsoft. I asked where he was calling from and was told" US, Delaware". He opend with the same line Sheena did but told me the service was free. I asked if he worked for Microsoft and he answered yes. I asked if he was a sub-contractor or was hired through Microsoft HR? He evaded the question and went right on pitching this free service. I asked for a number I could call him back at and his name. He told me there were only three working at that location and that number so any one of them could assist me should I call back. He never game me a name. I told him Sheena was charging $39 for the same service and was using the same number also in Delaware. He stumbled a little but tried to push through my information. He insisted he worked for Microsoft and was only trying to help. I told him I'd call back as soon as I called Microsoft about his employment. I then told him if he didn't here from me soon to look over his shoulder, the FBI will be visiting him soon. He didn't think that was very funny yet said he has nothing to worry about. I don't believe either call came from the US thus catching up to them may not be possible.

I called Microsoft to report these calls to their security department only to be told by the agent I spoke with it was her 32nd call today listing that number as the call back number. They are fully erngaged in an investigation of that number and that scam. They have a website set up to report such calls and scams. www.microsoft.com/security

A Indian from India calls says he received reports from MIcro Soft about errors on your computer. For a fee, mine was $199 for 5 years service he takes out virus`es or does some sort of computer clean up. It works great for a day, the slows down to worse than it was. THe called for months before I finally talked to them. I hung up a few times because I could not understand them. The the worked on the computer and talked for 5 hours. Some people think they are good, others think they are a scam. I think I lost $199.
