I never heard of these guys before and today have gotten at least 7 calls and multiple emails about the same position - all from different people.  I also have 4 emails in my inbox.  Made the mistake of answering & the guy i talked to kept changing his story -  contract, no permanent, no contract with long-term option.  Fraud, scam, egit whatever I would never work for them based on lack of communication
& characte.  When i was a recruiter I may call & email but never both 5+ times per day.

I receive an email from sanjay.nair@collabera.com

He was very pushy on me sending things right away with any other recruiter or my  which was a red flag. Then told me not to apply for this position or my application will be void. I thought that was strange. Many companies only recruit with one firm so jobs will not show up multiple places any. I call the corporate office and they had many extensions that did not work. So then I know this company was a fake.

They did a good job at making a website with many office numbers from all over the world. However with today's technology with Google voice anyone can make numbers that reach anyone in any areas code. Another thing is they have many LinkedIn profiles I think to make their company seem legit. I did a http://www.spokeo.com/ search on the email and number and I go the following:

collabera.com appears to be a valid mail server.
IP Address:
archilles.g-c-i.com  66.246.63.195
ironport.g-c-i.com  66.246.63.209

I did a search on his number ((973) 774-1093) and they are with the following carrier : Paetec Communications, Inc. -
Paetec aka Windstream Communications Paetec knowingly provides VioP Services to scammers allowing them to harass and rip off people - they don't respond to complaints, Internet

Below scam report on line: Here is the link  http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Paetec-aka-Windstream-Communications/internet/Paetec-aka-Windstream-Communications-Paetec-knowingly-provides-VioP-Services-to-scammers-862703

The email address seemed to be an alias
After I did not respond after 25 mins, he never called back or replied my email. Probably scamming other person.

India seems to be the next SCAM Nation of the world due to many companies outsourcing labor to companies that handle sensitive data like social security numbers and addresses. I closed my citibank account due to being Identify theft by a fake debit collection agency claiming I owed money and found out I double payed the balance because my information was stolen. Protect yourself. I now do not work with companies who out course sensitive data jobs overseas.

Here is there website http://www.collabera.com/services/

Thank you also for providing a great post as my feelings were correct

I just received a call from a very similar number from Artech.  I have replied to the "recruiter's" email.  I will see where this goes and chime back in here.  I am fed up with constantly having to check the validity or a prospective employer.  I get at least 3 scam job leads a day right now.  They have asked for my SSN #, etc.  Who is going after these a***oles?  Where I'm from, if you steal from someone, you are going to get your a** kicked, go to jail, or both.  I work with Indians all the time who are nice and have a strong work ethic.  I've always thought that India could be one of our best allies.  There are bad guys in every group I suppose! :/   I'll let you know how this phone conversation goes in 10 minutes from this posting.

I get periodic emails from this three separate Indian-related "IT" companies for jobs that are not IT jobs.  Every time I hear from one of them for a job, I hear from the other two the same day or the next day.  The jobs are ALWAYS 8 months long in the emails.  No company is going to pay three separate recruiters for a $14 an hour temp position.

They're fishing/farming/searching for personal data.  I turn them down every time and ask them not to contact me again, but they use a different "person" each time to do it.  I'm down to blocking their domains at this point.

These guys are legit. I get a paid twice as much as in the past with other recruiters. Yes the Indian accents are difficult to understand. The only reason they seem aggressive is because they are trying to help you find a job. BLAH BLAH BLAH

Just kidding! I was trying to follow the script used by the Artech scammers that are posting on this thread. ARTECH is a SCAM. Big time.

I am actually insulted by the fact that they think they can con me with such stupid, clumsy, pidgin english.

Maybe Artech should try scamming some of their own, homegrown idiots. I hear India and P*** are full of them.

"Recruiter" - if you're really a recruiter for one of these outfits, then I'd say you're a perfect representative of most of the third-party recruiters I've dealt with (Indian and non-Indian alike). That's why I no longer speak to them. They will ring that phone right off my wall at any time of night or day if they think they can make any money off of me, but if they decide I'm not useful to them, they'll never return or even acknowledge a call or email. (That won't stop them from spamming me about out-of-state jobs that I'm not even qualified for, though.) Pragmatic? Yes. Professional? No. It is needlessly rude and cultivates ill will. Combine that with your vulturine reputation, and eventually even the most desperate job-seekers will distrust you. And then you'll lose your job too.

On the other hand, "Recruiter," if you're just another frustrated job seeker who's trying to make those guys look bad, you really don't need to waste your time. They make themselves look bad. They don't have to name-call or insult people openly... their contempt is so thick, you can practically smell it.

Well, they are legit. I worked a contract for almost twice as much per hour than with other recruiters. They have never shafted me one penny. The Indian voice is hard to understand and they are aggressive, but in your behalf. It may depend on what recruiter outfit of theirs you are dealing with. After all, a company always has some bad apples until they weed them out. Hope this helps!

Everytime they call we should report it....shine light on the evil that hides in the dark. Yes, I may have gotten the scam today with the promise of a job but became suspicious when they wanted my SSN to perform a background check for their client prior to an interview. It's sad but these people are just roaches and really never do anything good for humanity. Too lazy to earn a honest living, instead want to trick people into losing a dollar. Other numbers 973.967.3438 with a weak website too.

Woman named Dilpreet Kaur
(973) 993-9383 Ext.3342

Contacted me via e-mail about a local job, so I gave her my phone number. She called me back within a couple of minutes. Went through the standard stuff, then she said she needed all my past w2's or copies of paycheck stubs since 2003 to verify my employment and I told her that would be the first time anyone has asked me for that information ever, and that  I have references that can be verified, she kept insisting, I hung up on her.

It is never a good idea to give out your social security number or any part of it (last 4 digits). You don't know who these people are or if there is any tapping between point A and point B. I'm like anyone who needs to find work but I would not want to become a victim of identify theft to obtain employment. As I see it, this is not a good trade off...

They offered a position starting at $14.00, Then they reduced it by a dollar until they got to about $10.00. If you get an offer it wont be real.
