Got a call. No message was left.

They track down public foreclosures and then mail you a letter that they have a buyer for your house.  I'm sure they don't.  I also searched the NJ Real Estate Commission for a licensee with the name of Mark Drewniak and none were found.  If he is licensed in NJ as a real estate agent and marketing himself as one in the letter, specifically stating, "I'm a licensed Real Estate Agent", he must disclose the name and location of his company and if that's his cell #, he must disclose the office # as well.  I'm a licensed realtor.

i got the same letter this week....i live in sparta, nj.  couple of jokers i suspect.

I received the same letter yesterday.  It was VERY upsetting.  I called the number and left a rather nasty message for "Tammy" telling her that she wasn't getting our house.  She's lucky I didn't go to the address and demand to speak to her in person.  I may have gotten arrested for assault.  People like that are scum.  Like we don't all have enough going on right now!

Got the same letter, handwritten, only the names were "Leslie Cohen" and "My husband Stan". The return address is in Suffern, Rockland County, NY but the letter was postmarked from Westchester County NY. The callback phone number is (845) 517-2990.

Everyone....the call comes from a company calling themselves DBM Solutions.  They seek out through their 'real estate connections', which is a possible family member, big RE agent/player, households that are in financial distress.  They offer to 'buy' the property from you, but in essence they are only offering to buy at a reduced price while the family guy continues to market.  They are taking the profit out of your home but appearing as the 'knights in shining armor'.  A quick tour of the tax records show that they only close on your property the day they actually close with the profit from the real buyer!  We're talking $20-70k in profit!!  Don't be scammed.  Even if it might be a legal scam.  I'm still working on that!

My husband and I were briefly in foreclosure proceedings. Fortunately, we managed to hold on to our house. I believe these people have a list of those homes and prey on the unfortunate. I called them back and left a message stating we were not interested in selling and to never call us again. It was very upsetting receiving that letter.

I got the same letter about my buisness, same thing I called the phone number and got a voice mail from a women named Tammy. So far no returned call. One thing that is interesting is that all of us are searching this out.

What is the address on your envelope?  When I looked up the address, I got a trucking company in Hopatcong.  

Yes, the number is a cell phone number out of Morristown, but that does not mean the person is from Morristown.

I called the number and left a messag to call me back.  To date, no one has returned my call.  No clue what the scam is here.....

My friend got the same exact letter Saturday in the mail.  There was a stamp on it but it was not marked as if it was mailed.  The envelope was not sealed.  Does this mean someone put this letter physically in her mailbox?  What is the scam related to this letter?  I searched the address and it comes back as a trucking company.  Any leads would be appreciated.
