this number is starting to call my office again they called for three days nonstop 2 weeks ago but here we go again I have filed a complaint to the state attorney's office, and the ftc and I urge everyone on this post to do the same if enough people  complain then maybe something will be done they jam the lines at an office for hours on end this is a total scam do not send these vultures any money and the best way to stop the harrassment at least temporarily is to ignore the calls they use several numbers so we have resorted to stop answering 800 number calls and out of state area code calls, this is awful really the worst ever.

They'll do this as a form of vengeance when they realize you're on to them. Our response to this has been to dedicate two employees to return the favor. Call them repeatedly, non-stop for a minimum of 2 hours. Be sure to call all the numbers they've called you from. If you get an answer, hang up and call again...and again..and again. They'll start blocking your calls, so switch lines often. Believe me, they won't try it again. I guess you could call this a "reverse denial of service" tactic.

Two men called me today at my job and told me if I did not pay them 600 that I would go to jail. I told them that I was not going to pay them and I hung up. They called my job over 50 times in the last hour playing on the phone. I told them if they were real to send the papers by mail. I also told them to send the police to my house and they said they well keep calling my job until I pay them. The guy still call me until I set up a payment plan with them. I told them I didn't have any money and I would rob a bank they told me how to plan it. They even told how to pick pocket someone where I work. They won't give you any I formation about where they are at. They only want you to western union them money and won't give you information until they day you send the money. Tell them to stop calling the work place because it will get you fired and you be able to pay them any thing.

I have been receiving harrassing phone calls at my job  which is probably close to 100 times and calling me, co-workers as well as my supervisors vulgar names.  I asked Bill and Larry to stop the calls as this is a place of business and they said they will continue to harrass me and everyone here if I didn't pay.  They have been calling my supervisors work cell because they got that off the answering system.  We called the local Sheriff's department as well as the phone company for help and nothing can be done.
They, Bill and Larry, refused to give me any information on what I owe when asked.  I asked them to fax me and mail me the information and they refused.  The number they called from is 978-339-4057

OMG.... I am SOOO thankful to read all this.  This happened to me just this last friday...relentless calls to my work...2 lines, for an hour and a half.  like everyone on this site, I too asked for proof of loan, which I knew I hadnt had, and he demanded I pay him $250 and then he will provide proof.  I kept hanging up on him, but he called my work and my cell non-stop.  then no calls all weekend, but started on my cell at 7:30 monday morning.,  I had the number he called in on blocked at work, but my fear is, he probably hass numerous numbers.
There has GOT to be a way to get this to stop...I already reported to local police, and as others have said, there is little they can do.

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

?is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
?refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
?asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
?exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:

?Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.?Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.
?Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.
?Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.
?Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.

Amy,  has your husband discussed this and explained what is going on with his employer?  He should and if his employer is worth working for they will understand what he is up against.   It is unfortunate that these out of country thieves can call and do what ever they want and Americans have little help or options.

Jacki,  he is a scammer.  Don't pay him anything or even offer to pay.  He is in violation of the FDCPA laws  (fair debt collections act)  and must provide you with written validation of the debt or you don't owe him a thing.  These people arent even a legitimate collections agency.  They are unethical, liars and scammers.
Don't even talk to them.  Discuss this with your employer and let them know that you are a victim of this scammers harassment and false collection scheme and there is nothing you can do to stop it because he is a hidden scammer with a spoofed call number.  Stand your ground and don't let this bully- thief intimidate you.  These kinds of people,  using these methods to extort money,  should be held as accountable as an armed robber.
Google FDCPA  or  Fair debt collections act on the internet and read about your consumer rights.  It will tell you right off that this man is a scammer.  Plus,  it will not only confirm that he is a scammer,  but give you the education to fight back.

Doris,  if you can get an address, send him a certified cease and desist from all contact letter with return signature requested. If he is legit and not hiding,  he must comply or you can sue him.  Once he gets that letter he either has to sue you or go on to the next victim.  If he refuses to give you written validation of the debt,  then he is in violation of the FDCPA  (Fair debt collections act).  He has already violated the law in about every thing he's done so far.  Once you have request that he stop calling at your place of employment,  that it is affecting your job status, the law says that he must stop.  These people will hammer a person into submission whether they owe the debt or not,  just to get them off their backs.  Don't pay him a dime. Under the FDCPA,  you don't owe a debt until it is legally validated.   That is for consumer protection against the very same people you are now dealing with.
Google  FDCPA  or  consumer collections rights and read about your rights and the rights of the collector.  It will put you on solid ground in order to deal with them.  keep smiling...

Person name Kevin continues to call my job. Said he will call until I pay. Asked to get proof that I owe and refuses. Told me just today to beg, borrow , or steal he didn't care how I got the money. He calls all day on both of my job lines very rude and said some very vulgar things to my supervisor. Truly if you are an attorney or collection agency you have a strange way of doing business. This is insane calling the job all day long. These people have no life they get a kick out of harassing people.
