Received a telemarketing call from the above number with a robo-message about getting out of debt and paying off credit cards.  proceeded to select "tell me more" in order to obtain information on the company behind the illegal solicitation. (it is illegal under current federal law to make telemarketing calls to cell phones).  When i was eventually put through to a human, i asked what the name of the company is.  The woman informed me that it is "Global Financial Group".  I then asked where the company was based and the woman disconnected the call.  Searched online for Global Financial Group and saw multiple allegations of fraud against the company for a variety of scams.  Beware.

I've been getting a call from this number every half hour for the past twelve hours.  I spoke to three different representative and asked them all to take me off the call list.  All three times, I was immediately hung up on.  I finally called the number back and received recorded message saying that in order to be removed from the call list I should press '1'.  I just did this about 5 minutes ago.  If this doesn't work, my next step will be to somehow track down their mailing address and send them some notarized, certified correspondence.

I used to get calls from all kinds of telemarketing idiots. I tried all the do not call lists, but they didn't work. (I'm convinced that's just a scam anyway - a way for them to get your number to begin with. But, I'll leave that conversation for another day.) I'm posting because I have a 2-step process that has pretty much stopped the madness on my phone. I can't guarantee it will work for you, but I thought I'd share anyway:

STEP ONE: Block those b***hes!
I use Comcast Voice service at home, and they have a web page for managing your voice service - most phone service providers have this now. If you don't know if yours does, just call them and ask. On the Comcast Voice customer website is a "reject or screen calls from this number" option. I just put these F***ers on my screened calls list and they get weeded out. There's a caveat: unfortunately you can only screen up to 12 numbers this way. So...

STEP TWO: Block those b***hes AGAIN!!
I have also been lucky enough to get a Google voice number. It's still invitation only. Students can get them fairly quickly. Others have to wait a bit, but it's coming. This is FREE and it's THE ANSWER. Go sign up RIGHT NOW and get on the waiting list! So, anyway, to finish what I was saying before my ADD interrupted, I use the Comcast forward feature (on the same website) to forward the other stupid telemarketers' numbers to my Google Voice number and use its block feature to block them there. <-- its block feature is limitless. It blocks by contact name, not by number. Every time I get a new number calling me, I just add that number to my Comcast forward list and to my Google Voice SPAM Callers contact and it gets blocked. A 2-step process to stop the madness.

DISCLAIMER: These telemarketers have lots of different numbers from which to place their calls, but because the Google Voice blocker gives them the disconnected recording and tones, I think they drop your number after a few unsuccessful tries - would like for someone to verify that for me. It's just a theory, because eventually, they do stop calling from those numbers. Try it. You'll see.

They are calling to say that becuase of my use of credit card ending in 7111 (which I do not have a credit card ending in that number) they would like to send me a debit card for $100.  They read me an address to verify the correct mailing address and it was not an address I have heard of.  I asked them to remove me from their list and they hung up.  They have called 6 times since.  Each time I ask them to remove me they hang up or say "What?" then hang up.  They really suck.

Keep getting calls from these clowns on my cell phone.  I keep telling them I'm not interested and if I'm polite about it they just keep talking until I hang up.   UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

I've also gotten the same calls from

978-570- 2091
   "        2084
   "        2075
   "        2067

Also, had to cancel a credit card, due to mysterious $1.00 & $24.95 charges from Budget Savers Monthly and PrivacyM.  Neither company did I order anything or authorize any charges.  As a matter of fact I told them "No, not interested" and hung up.  I tried to find out how they got my credit card information and got the run around.  Ended up filing a fraud claim with the CC company and getting a new Credit Card.

Don't bother trying to be polite or even asking to be taken off their calling list...just hang up....but I do like the AIR HORN idea!!!!!!! :D

They called called 9 times this morning from 8:16am - 12:40pm. They had the last 4 #'s of a credit card and wanted me to confirm my address. The answering maching recorded a large group of people in the background all talking at once or girls giggling.
978-570-2067 has now called 8 times from 2:54pm - 4:33pm.
We are on the no-call list. I am deeply concerned what Tyler said. I plan to check with my credit card company.

I got phone calls under this number and the Caller ID says that it is RG Marketing. They keep asking for a persone named Matt Gregory and they wanted my adress. There are different numbers under what they keep calling I am going to list the numbers. It is always the same company and they always ask for this person, listet above. It is strange because the callers all have a very bad mexican accent. This calls are coming in for the last 4 days almost 6 - 8 times a day.

Called something like eight or so times in a row starting at 8 am. They wanted to speak to my brother - couldn't even pronounce his name correctly. Wanted to know if I was a family member. I kept saying, "May I take a message please." She kept trying to pry. I finally told them if they kept calling they would be sued. I'm keeping the number on my caller ID - it said "RG Marketing" on it - and calling the local consumer protection service here.

I got five calls today, picked up once and they said they were a marketing company and that because of my spending habits on such and such a card (one that I never use!) I would get some gift card in the mail if I verified my information. They said I needed to speak with their verifier, and when that person got on the phone I said I was confused and she continued on and I said, "NO, I'm confused you need to explain yoursef" again she tried to continue so I hung up. They just called again and the first thing I did was ask for the name of their organization and the person hung up! I would suggest not answering or calling back and pressing 1-supposed will put you on their DNC list...I personally would like to know who my HSBC/Best Buy card is giving my information out to because they knew my mailing address, name, and the last 4 of my cc #!!!! grr!

That is exactly what is going on with me!  They have been calling me every half hour every other day!  I picked up last week and listened to what they had to say and all of a sudden I looked at my credit card and there were 4 transactions of $2.95 billed to me by "Smart Shopper".  Then there was one yesterday for $1.00 for "US Weekly".  BE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS NUMBER!!! THEY KNOW YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER SOME HOW AND WILL CHARGE IT IF YOU SAY "YES" TO ANYTHING THEY SAY.  When I was listening to them talk they asked me to acknowledge what they had said and I said "OK" and the guy asked me to confirm again like he didn't know what "OK" meant!!!  But once I said yes $2.95 showed up on my bill!!!  Will somebody please tell me what to do so I can stop these terrible people from harrassing me!!!

I have received over 50 calls from this number in the last two weeks and cannot get them to stop calling.  My number is on the no-call list, and it doesn't seem to matter.  The people keep calling and won't stop talking, or they just hang up on my voice mail or on me.  I don't know what to do!
