Another car warranty call. I've been getting them daily in Seattle area.

THESE JERKS HAVE BEEN CALLING MY CELL PHONE FOR 2 WEEKS FROM EARLY IN THE MORNING TO LATE AT NIGHT. SINCE I DON'T GIVE OUT MY CELL PHONE I KNOW IT'S JUNK. WHEN I TRY TO RETURN THE CALL I GET A RECORDING STATING I HAVE BEEN REMOVED FROM THEIR PREFERRED CUSTOMER CALLING LIST. YET THEY CONTINUE TO CALL ME ON A DAILY BASIS, ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. CAN'T GET THEM TO STOP.

When you call them back, it comfirms the number is active.  Now they can call and send spam text messages and be sure someone is seeing them.

I screen my calls.  I do not pick up the receiver unless I see a friendly caller in the little ID screen.  Jerks just hear my message saying the following:  "Please, telemarketer, don´t leave any message; I am absolutely not interested in your offer."  Like this, they normally don´t leave any message.  People who matters (friends, clinics, dentists...) understand what I mean and thus they leave their necessary messages, without any problem.

Junk call about car warranty.

I recieved a similar call from a 603-214-3340 number and the rude guy said the name of the company was warranty servicesof america which I wasn't able to track down through BBB. But I did track down national auto warrant services in wentzville,Mo and it's not pretty. If you have a one eight hundred # which you said you had go to the BBb web sit I think it's the same company just under another owner.

You I and many others are victims of Teleport Communications Group ( TCG )Regardless of what name on your caller ID and regardless of the number ( they have thousands ) These calls orginate at one of the many TCG call center groups. They say that have permission to call you - that is quetionable. They then sell the you number and permission to a number of compaineis that in turn pay them to use those lists to call you.  Their  one list with your name on it becomes many lists  being called by one of thier many  numbers. You can get your name off of one of these list but not the many others. You can get you name not called by one of their numbers they have leased to one company but your name will still be called by many of thier other numbers leased to other clients. These guys are crooks. One of their clients is a company that says or $100 a year that they can get you off of all of the TCG numbers and lists -- This is amounts to a protection racket. F*

Received a call on 10/7/2008 that was identified as "Financial Serv". When I picked up, there was dead air and the phone hung up a moment later. A returned call to request a copy of their Do Not Call policy was met with a pre-recorded message "We're sorry if we dialed your number in error. We only purchase business phone numbers. Press 1 to be removed from our calling list."

Them guys keep calling me trying to sell me car warranty they have no intent to honor.  I finally learned to play along each time I just hmmm ... and oh them lead them on for 30 minutes then tell them how much fun I was having with them.  They then swear at me I swear even louder till they hang up.  You guys should do the same get rid of such sleezy people.

and so on....

The cell phone they are soliciting has never been given to any company except a GM dealership! They said customer info is never sold.  Funny these calls come just after our warranty was up.

I received a call from this number but did not answer.
I also received a call from 408-587-2133 4 days ago.
Both of these look like the same type of scam, so I'm wondering how the hell these nerds got my number. grrrr.

Received call from 978-570-2338.  Automated at first saying my car warranty was about to expire.  If I wanted to renew, push #1, if I wanted to opt out of this call list, push #2.  I pushed #1, not because I wanted to renew, since my car was bought from a privater person not a dealer and is really old, but because I wanted to find out how in the heck they got my cell phone number.  A guy finally answers and asks if I'd like to renew my auto warranty.  I ask what company he works for and he said Auto One. I ask how he got my number and he says he's not sure but an "auto warranty specialist" would be able to help me with that.  So I ask, if he can tell me what kind of car I have.  He responds that he's not sure, but an "auto warranty specialist" could help me with that and would I like to speak to one.  I answered no and said I wanted to speak to a manager since my number was on the Do Not Call List.  He said he would transfer me but instead just hung up.  I called back and a recording said my number had been removed from their calling list.

hey all, I have done my research...Im 100% sure the company that is causing all these problems is auto one Insurance NOT Auto one warranty in Irvine california....while, there may be things on the Internet about this dave guy true or false ...this one is not on him...Just similar names...but the 978 number belongs to auto one Insurance...The reason I know for FACT that it is them Is I got a phone call from auto one insurance and bought insurance because of the phone call.....no reason to slam a name if the info is wrong...

I received many, many calls for about 2 weeks from 562-289-8136 on both my work and home cell phone numbers.  Not recognizing the number, I did not answer until one day (1/28/08) the curiosity got the best of me...it was an automated call to renew an auto warranty.  Does not apply to my situation.  I hung up.  

On 2/7/08 the calls stared to come in from 978-570-2395, 978-570-2225, 978-570-2338, and now 302-384-0103 - multiple times each day.  It seems these are related.

I received a call from 978-570-2338 on my cell phone at 2/11/08 at 6:41 pm. I did not answer. The person did not leave a message.

I looked up the numbers from this on my att bill. one is from Union City NJ and the other from Wilmington.

search the city and area code on google and it will take you to a national directory and you can find the company that owns the numbers and where exactly they are located.

TELEPORT COMMUNICATIONS BOSTON owns the 978-570-xxxx numbers. but i try to call since i found thier number via google and it says it is disconnected.

I am still looking for the 201-210-xxx numbers. Reply if you have any questions or anything to add to my research. Once I find out who these people are, I am submitting a lawsuit in my local small claims court. They called me 5+ times, and I am entitled to a little over $2500 for unsolicited calls to a cell phone.

Correction, found the 201-210-6001 number. a company called BROADWING COMMUNICATIONS, LLC in Newark NJ Google it and see if you can get a name and sue them. Let me know if any of this info helps out.

got a mysterious call on my cellular phone from the number 978-570-2338 i sent it to voice amil and they just hung up. called back and recording says you have been removed from our call list. checked this site, found what was going on and contacted every number they have to advise them of their blatent violation of FCC law. They hung up each time i got someone on the phone.

This number 978-570-2338, 978-570-2225, 978-570-2395,978-570-2212,603-214-3589 has called so many times.  One time we answered and wanted to extend our auto coverage.  We explained that we just bought a new suv and the coverage we have is good for 5 years.  The person hung up on me immediately.  Since that call two weeks ago we have stopped answering calls on our cell phones that come from the above area codes.  Please someone stop the calls.

Seems this bunch has run amok.These idiots have been calling me for months on my home line phishing to sell me some car warranty.A couple weeks ago at close to midnite.I pressed 1 and waited for the person and asked them wtf are you doing calling at midnite.Dont call anymore I told her.Well tonite they called my cell phone.The gloves come off now.I pressed 1 and waited for the person to come on.He started off didnt clearly state his name asked me what kind of car I have.I said very clearly I didnt get your name who are you and exactly what company are you with?He said Great Atlantic warrantee something.I said ok Id like to speak to your supervisor I still cant understand your name.He said this is Barak Obama blah blah president let me talk to your mother little boy.After that I think I threatened to drag his butt through the phone line and kick his smart a$$.He hung up on me.So... From what I understand it is against FCC regulations through telecommunications privacy act to transmit prerecorded marketing to a wireless device.Not to mention that the same bunch seems to be doing it to #s on the nocall list.Since I am informed that it is a crime to even threaten to go drag em out behind the barn and beat sense into them the only real option allowed us is to make a comlaint to the FCC.You can go to www.fcc.gov and navigate to complaint form.There is also some other info there as well.Or as I will attempt to do at 8am est call 800-CALLFCC.Perhaps if they get enough complaints they will take action.

ditto on all previous posts; called right now; calling at all odd hours for past several weeks on all related numbers reported here to my cell phone; googled the number and found this site!

Just got a call from this number.  I have also received similar calls from 978-570-2225, 408-651-8199, and 562-289-8136.  These two other numbers both have histories in 800notes of similar auto-dialing and all of them are about car warranties.  It is a huge pain that I get calls at all hours and I can't pick up long distance calls because I don't want to encourage them.

Keep getting calls from this number as well as 978-570-2225 & 978-570-2395 - thanks to those of you who have persued the issue; I just keep ignoring...  Will follow the above - thanks!

I got a call from this number - however I hung up. Then I read these posts and decided to give these a***oles a dose of their own. However, when I called back, I got the following message "You have been removed from our preferred customer list". Dang.
