After getting the same call many times, I bought an air horn that is sometimes used on watercraft. The next time I got the call I pressed 1 and when the telemarketer came on I gave her an extended blast and hung up. Probably won't do any good but it sure made me feel better.

Amazing: They get upset after making an illegal Robo Call and I waste their time telling them I have a mortgage of $250,000,000 at 40%. They said they would take me off the list. Time will tell.
Daniel 2011-06-09 21:55:31 Unknown
They call me every single day and I never pick up, but I don't know who they are. I call the phone number back to see who it is and the line is busy. Will report them.

Caller ID says TELECO. Now that I've seen posts under this number, I know who keeps calling with the automated credit card interest message. How does one respond to a recording to tell them please, put me on do not call list? I do not want these calls. I don't want to listen to them for 5 seconds. I want the decline option up front and immediate, and I never want to hear from these people again.

All I got was a musical recording, then they started the recording of some ad about mortgages! whatever STOP the fraudulent calls ....

Another lower your interest rate fraud. Using illegal Robo Calls. Asked if I was fmiliar with the "Stymulus Act" passed by Obama. He hung up when I asked if he passed 4th grade civics since Congress passes acts. Stay away. Call the FTC and AG's office.

I have this number and others calling my business line? Most of the time they don't say anything just listen on the line. Also get these three digit numbers that aren't area codes like 101-005

I have received several calls from this number - sometimes a couple of times a day. Usually just ignore. I will not give anyone any information over the phone regarding credit information. I would like to give them something however, A PIECE OF MY MIND!!!!!

Do not understand motivation of these phone calls. Why is there silence on the other end when I pick-up the phone and say "Hello?" I don't know if this is an individual representing a company or some sort of technical difficulty in the line/service.
Evelyn 2010-12-03 18:57:03 Unknown
It rang and rang ,you could tell someone was there but wouldn't answer !

I have been getting these calls non stop at work. I do believe that If at any point in time you used your information online with anyone the info was sold and this is where they are getting our numbers from.

These people call one more time. I will file a class action law suit against them.

Received phone call from 978-570-2341 several times and they just hang up. This is on my work phone and they've been told not to call again. They've also been told to take my PRIVATE work number out of their data base but they refuse.

"This is Rachel at Cardholder Services. There is no problem with your credit card but if you want to learn how to lower your interest rate, press 1. To end our services press 2."
I just waited to see if it repeats and it hang up. I don't know how they get the numbers ............

I received this recorded message on my business phone, and I hung up after it prompted me to press 1. I reported it to the FTC as an identity theft scam. It seemed suspicious because none of my creditors or banks have my work number.

I too received a call - this is the 2nd time. The first one I actually spoke to someone and they asked if I wanted to lower my interest rate on my visa/mc - and any store cards so I said..."sure"....so they said great, all we need is your expiration date and the security code....HA HA HA...I said I do not carry this card with me - don'tyou have my expiration date? Well mam, we need you to tell us so we can verify the date.....puhlease.

"This is Rachel at Cardholder Services. There is no problem with your credit card but if you want to learn how to lower your interest rate, press 1. To end our services press 2."
I pressed 1 to find out what their angle was (since I knew it was a scam from the start). It rang a few times, then a lady asked it I wanted to lower my interest rate on my Visa or MasterCard. I said, "I don't have a Visa or a MasterCard, and I want to know how you got this number." The line went silent for about 10 seconds before the call ended.
I immediately called the number back, but it is always busy. Pressing 1 must transfer the call to a different line, since they don't take incoming calls.
I used whitepages.com to do a reverse lookup - the number is a landline based in Wilmington, MA and is unpublished.

losers trying to convince me they are talking about my credit card. they never say your specific credit card so it is just a generic scam to lure you out of concern, fright, whatever...
cowards even called my work phone twice. worthy of derision, shame and humilation.

I got this call at 12:24 pm central time. I did not answer it because it was definitely NOT from this area. They did not leave a message. This was called on my cell phone which I only give out to personal family and friends. I am glad to hear that this was just a company but disappointed that they have my number on hand!
Wilson 2009-08-19 15:59:35 Unknown
I just activated my pay as you go cell phone and first call I received was from these guys. ITS A SCAM. I did not even have a chance to give out my Cell number to family and friends. There is no way a credit card company can have my cell phone # in about 5 minutes from its activation. They must be using some auto call system.
