Prank Call
I worked for Cambece
I felt bad calling people and asking them to pay money I know they don't have.
Not all the people who work there are bad people just trying to make minimum wage.
The owner is a millionaire and drives a couple of very expensive cars. Lives in a mansion with his trophy wife. It's all pretty funny actually.

Carol,

Why are you trolling these sites if you a) don't work for a collections company, b) aren't looking for advice about your own credit debt, or c) work for a credit card company?

In your hard-working, busy life that makes everyone else's look like epic failures, how do you have so much time to troll, scroll and lambast others?

Thanks to sites like this, everyone can share the burden of researching and defending against debt collection scammers. While not all collectors nor all collection calls are scams, there are enough bad actors out there that answering questions from personally unknown callers is something none of us should do. And likewise for agreeing to send any money to said callers.

I'm sorry if that affects your income stream, but maybe you should just get a real job.

Just for your information, you're right. You're not a collector. You're not bright enough. You're not even intelligent enough to make you a half decent SHILL!
Now get back to your headset and your chair! The junk debt buyers that control your job are not going to promote you for being a transparent fool. You'll be stuck trying to collect bogus debt forever at this rate. If you hope to get moved up to SOL debts anytime soon you'll have to do better. Not that it will do you any good. People are on to your tricks now. They make you all queasy when they start mentioning the FDCPA and demand those letters of validation, don't they "consumer"?
I'll bet you are worried about bankruptcies though. How many do you and your co-workers have between you now? That many, huh? Well, that's no surprise. Don't let it bother you. That's about par for the course for the people in the fraudulent and bogus collection racket. What? You think you were hired for your honesty and integrity?
And by the way, my credit score's over 800. What's yours...you self-righteous bag of wind?

Just for your information, I am not a collector, I am a consumer who uses credit all the time but I take responsibility and pay my bills when they come in.  The only reason you are getting calls is because you think you are entitled to free goods, and when your bills are out of control then you go and file for bankruptcy so you don't have to pay.   We can thank all you losers for our screwed up system.

Oh, come on. A debt collector calling your number does not mean you owe any money. Quite a few collectors will call any number in the vicinity of a debtor. Others will try to dig up old, already-paid (or timed-out, most states have a limit to how many years a debt can be collected upon) debts to see whether they can extract some funds. In the four years that I have had my prepaid phone, I've had calls from T-mobile about a phone I never had, from various collection agencies about debts I never owed, and various marketers about products I'd never buy. None of them were calling for me.

Face it. Collections has so many sleazeballs that it is difficult to EVER say that a collections call is about a legitimate debt that the recipient owes.

Responding to 3 year old posts now? The desperation in you low-life, fraudulent collectors is becoming more and more evident. Which of course, is a GOOD thing!
If you can't prove your claim, as per federal law, don't come here whining about not scamming any money. If you weren't such a failure, you wouldn't be stuck trying to collect bogus or invalid debts.

typical, run up your credit cards then blame the credit card company for your lack of self respect.  Nothing is free is in this world.  You want to use credit, you HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.  Our country is in such a financial mess because of jerks like you who want sponge off everyone then blame them for your irresponsible behavior.  GROW UP and take responsibility for yourself!!

If you want bill collectors to stop calling you, stop spending beyond your means and pay your f--king debt. I am so sick of irresponsible people crying about their bills when they are out buying smart phones, Apple products, high end jewelry etc... and then complaining about paying for them.  This generation is pathetic.  No one is responsible for anything.  They all expect someone else to take care of their problems.  GROW UP you bunch of lazy losers!!  Pay your own way.

They were stupid enough to give a name and tried to call out a ss# and I said that it was wrong and the dumb and dumbest tried to say, well what is it . I laughed at him and he got so angry that he could have slapped his momma. Thanks to people like you and them, people can get a laugh

it's Cambece Law firm, I told them if I didn't have such a bad year and losing my job they would have their money, they said that I better pay it or they will take me to court. The person I spoke to spoke down to me and belittled me, telling me I need to get my bills paid and to stop screwing around by not paying them. the fact that I was on limited income didn't phase them one bit.

The person(s) who make these calls are sub-contracted from the Southern Poverty Law Center. They are a non-profit group which is really just a political arm of the Democrat Party. I didnt mind this that much because I vote Democrat even though I am listed as an Independent. However, I noticed a few months after I did the survey it was cited in one of their reports about Race Relations in America. None of the questions had anything to do with Race but I guess my demographic doesnt score well on its opinions of the African-American community. This is when I realized they were complete phonies. My neighborhood is as dark as I am and I always thought we were pretty tolerant and accepting of our own folks!

Called two times in the past two days.  The caller was extremely verbally abusive.  She accused me of "screening my calls" and insisted on talking to a person at this number, despite my attempts to tell her that the person she was looking for was with a client.

Back in August they called me, I knew I was going to get called. The guy on the phone was pleasant and that is why I kept talking to him. The rest were a bunch of money grubbing rude people. I am expecting another call, I hope it is with the same guy as I had before.

They have been calling me as well, demanding more and more money even though I have a payment plan set up with them and am paying $50 a month, which they automatically take out of my checking account.

Just Google them....and see what scam-artists they are. You should not even consider paying them anything. PLEASE just Google Cambece Law Firm and read up. They tried to scam me too, but they had to move on to easier prey because I knew about them.

978-826-1299 just called me on my cell telling me he was trying to contact my neighbor and couldn't get ahold of him (like the neighbor was down) and wanted me to check on the neighbor.  The street he named isn't even in my area.  I told him that and hung up. But it was MY CELL - I don't give that number out!
