someone called me from this number he knew my name but I had a hard time understanding him. Im a senior
and dont know what he wanted I will not answer this call again.

This guy called with his spill about a vacation. I told him my name was on the NO_CALL list and why was he calling me. He quickly hung up!!!!

I guess you now know where your free vacation is..Hell! Those people are idiots!!!

I talked with this man that wanted to give me a FREE trip.  I asked him to take me off the list and not call me any more! He told me "to go to Hell"  !!!!!

None. What laws there are aren't enforced. The best thing to do in MHO is to write you congressman asking to have teeth put in the legislation, and that the FCC and FTC are not handling problems for the taxpayers.

Got a call from this number from a guy that I could not understand, told him to get a better phone and hung up!

My call was also from someone with a very thick Indian accent and a difficult connection.  He seemed to be saying I had entered a travel drawing.  I said I couldn't understand him several times and he said goodbye.

Why in heavens name do you all even talk to these people?  It only encourages them; if you dont have it, get Caller ID!

Had a call tonight from 979-633-4393 and I asked who it was he said he was my boyfriend. My response was which one and he said John.  Then he got cockier and said that he is my boyfriend and will call any time that he likes to.  I responded that if he keeps calling that I will call the cops he said "ok call the cops because I will keep calling you back and what do you think that they are going to do?"  Then I said what company are you with and he responed "arab" I said  "well ok Mr Arab never call my house again or I will have the authorities involved".  Oh and I'm on the DO NOT CALL List but get calls all evening and often from this foreign guy.

Nigerian A***oles scam company with same MO of 'you have been picked as a winner' saem crap you see on websites as 'you are the 1 millionth visitor' flashing annoyingly in your face. They are able to get around o not call lists because they buy BULK email and phone numbers from others companies that sell them. So 3rd, 4th party.

Sometimes when you answer phone it will give big computer geneated BEEEEEPPP then hang up, other times there actually IS a what passes for a human (bottom dweller) on other end who will quickly give you a fake name (hello, is Billy there?0 and when you say no they quickly reply with your (or family member) correct name. They have all your info on s*** list you know. Just their way of striking up conversation and trying to catch you off guard before they go into their canned line of s*** about you winning somthing.

What is sad is there are thousands of people, especially elderly, who fall for this line of b***s*** every year sadly. If you have a cell phone or land line does not matter, they use prepaid phone cards to harass and get people to listen to their line of s***, and caller ID is worthless as it won't pick up on some of the prepaid phone cards or show originating from Texas here, or Georgia, two of the more popular places  these idiots set up shop in strip centers. Good luck.

Received two calls today from this number. It shows up as unknown. They called at 8:27PM when we were not home and did not leave a message. They called again at 9:02pm and I answered. They said my last name incorrectly. When I corrected the man who has a really thick accent on the pronunciation, he hung up on me. I called the number back and it gave a recording of "You have reached a number that is no longer in service."

Caller did not respond when I answered.

Got three calls this morning, one quite early (Saturday).  I answered each time because my husband has relatives in Texas and I wasn't sure if it was their number.  First two times, sounded like the call didn't connect right after I answered (I believe it was because they were using an autodialer).  Third time a man with an Indian accent answered, said he was a manager, and started trying to verify information with me.  I stopped him and told him I had been called three times in one day, was on both the Indiana DNC list and the national DNC list, and would like to be removed from his list.  

He started shouting over me, telling me he was a manager and was not trying to sell anything, that I had won a contest.  I didn't bellieve him, (since he said he was with Simplicity Travel, and I hadn't been anywhere to sign up for a travel contest), but had recently entered a contest for an Ipad, so I asked him what I won.  He started talking about me having a choice for either 2 free tickets on a cruise somewhere or free travel somewhere else, and I tried to interrupt him to tell him I wasn't interested and to please stop calling.  As I talked louder and louder, he continued to talk louder and louder, and would not stop, so I just hung up.  Looking at these other messages here, it is obvious to me that, even though the number is coming up as a Texas number, it must somehow be routed through India.

I know the dnc call lists seem totally useless nowadays, and it probably won't do me any good, but I am going to file a complaint with my state attorney general.  I think I just need to get rid of my computer and phones and start mailing letters again.  Oh wait, they are going to get rid of the post office soon, and privatize it, so I probably won't be able to afford that either.  Think life is better in third world countries now?  Maybe I should move.

FYI, I also looked the company up on the BBB site.  Thought I would find their real incoming number and call and yell at them.  Turns out there are a zillion simplicity travels, and the one listed with the BBB in Texas is probably something different, because they are accredited with the BBB.  No way to find out who that really was calling, I don't think.

Received a phone call from "Kevin" with Simplicity Travel today, saying I'd won a vacation package from my entry into a drawing (static) or near Fort Worth, TX. He had the correct name & address. I listened to the entire spiel, took down the addy where I have to go pick up my tickets (odd?) in Irving. He has a thick Indian or Pakistani accent, but his name is Kevin Dale (odd?) and he's calling from Indianapolis (odd?). I asked him again how he got my number and when he repeated the part about the drawing, I got phone static in exactly the same spot. The callback number he gave is 979-633-4339 but caller ID says 979-633-4393 (odd?) and Internet says that is a Texas number. When I checked BBB for "Simplicity Travel" in Irving, they have 4 complaints against them so far. Sounds like a scam sort of thing where you have to buy something to win something. I'm not buying.

Got a call from 979-633-4393 today.  A guy with thick Indian accent asked for us by name, and I told him that we weren't interested in whatever he was offering, and to plesae take us off his call list.  He then got IRATE, and he yelled "Oh MY GOD" (taking the Lord's name in vain was a mistake, also), and continued "I didn't say I was selling anything, Oh MY GOD, Oh MY GOD, and I don't have a list.  OH MY GOD! Let me talk to your husband!" then I hung up.  It was very scary how he was yelling at me, and kept saying Oh My God.  He sounded crazy, like he was calling from a loony bin. I want to see if I can get calls blocked from that number, because he was scary.

I am getting calls frm this number that I do not want.

09-11-2012, 10:00am CDT; Caller stated his name was "Jack Benson," a manager with "Simply City Travel," and insisted that I had entered my name into a vacation contest on December 22, 2011 at a shopping mall. When questioned, he stated that he was located in Austin, TX. The caller had a very thick Indian accent and was difficult to understand. When I asked him for specifics about his company, he began backtracking. Our number is on the national Do Not Call Registry, and the caller continued to insist that I had filled out an "application" for a contest, although I know this is an outright lie. Caller disconnected when questioned further.

This is the second phone call from insistent Indian caller. Had my name and address. I could not get him to shut up and told him to remove my name and address, multiple times. He smarted off to me and then hung up!
Why can't we send these guys packing? We don't need them.

It's important NOT to ever even talk to these lower than low-lifes--especially if you see a wacky area code and "unknown name" on caller ID---somehow, it only encourages them to increase the number of calls to that #, they believe they've got someone to eventually break down.  I never resapond to them in any way, and I usually never get another call from that "group".  Caller ID is really worth it, along with an answering machine.

Got a call Sept. 6, 2012, at 10:33 AM. I didn't pick up because it's not a number with which I'm familiar. They left no message, which is typical for telemarketing callers since I'm on an Indiana no-call list.

Thick Indian accent that finally hung up after questioning him about what company he was with.  What a jerk he was!  I have been on the do not call list for years, reregistering every two years and still get these telemarketing calls.  It is very annoying.  I NEVER enter contests or etc. where I give name or other info, so how and where do they get their info to call?

Called like 4 times in an hour while I was trying to sleep today (I work 3rd shift). Finally answered the 4th time, and was an unintelligible indian guy telling me I won a travel contest. I told him I never entered any contest and he proceed to try and confirm my name and address then claimed I was entered in the contest as married (I'm not), so I started my 2 minute long insulting.
First told him if he's gonna try to scam me he should at least get his information straight first, to which he replied he wasn't scamming.  Then I got pissed since I was woken up and said (without letting him get a word in) something to the effect of "You know what, remove my number, you have nothing to do with anything that will even involve me, you're a scam with your auto-dialer, blocked number, and un-understandable accent, you're a scammer, never call here again!"
At which point he hung up, didn't receive anymore calls today.... we'll see about the future.

Two calls 20 minutes apart on Sunday afternoon.  Presume they called back because I have the number blocked using a feature on my phone.  Never leaves a message.

This number has called my house three times today.  They guy with a thick accent said that I won a vacation drawing that I didn't enter.  I told him that I wasn't interested, and he hung up.  The caller ID said "Columbus TX"

I am on the do not call list, however this number keeps calling me several time a day!  The messages they leave is a consent Hello....Hello.....with a lot of back ground noise.

I just got a call from this number and when I answered it they said GOOD BYE.

I just wish these people would go away and never return.

They are nothing but pains in the a**.

This number called me on 8/06/2012 @ 10:43 AM.  I tried to return the call and it's been disconnected now.
