We just received a message from Aaron Harold asking if our $1200 Laura Ashley was still for sale. Thank you for posting. We are telling him that we know he is a scammer and move on!

I just got a text message from Aaron Harold, too!  Same exact thing!  Paypal.  Sending personal "courier" to pick up.  Needed to get furniture right away.  When I started asking if he was in the country and who the courier was, haven't heard anything from him since!

Got a text: Solid Oak Entertainment Center $1500 (on Craigslist) Hi There...Am Aaron Harold is this still for sale?

Thanks for this board! Such a pain having to deal with these scammers when you are just trying to sell something. Will post this jerk's name on every board I can find...

Here is how the "PayPal Scam" works:

Says they will buy the item and will pay extra to cover charges by his shipping agent.
Says he will PayPal the funds and instruct you to send the extra money via wire transfer or pre-paid card to the agent.
He then sends you a fake PayPal deposit notice email, spoofing the official PayPal notice, that says the money has been put into your account.
You, thinking PayPal has your money, go ahead with the wire/prepaid transfer to the shipping agent, who is really the scammer.
After that, you then find out there was no money transferred to PayPal and are out the money your wired.

Got a call wanted to buy table set as a surprise, would use paypal for sale then said will send
his private courier agent for pickup.  This is a scam call.  BEWARE
