Hey man This clown sent me a check and it is as phony as they come on an account that does exist but the check is frogged the law has been told!!

same thing with the jet ski I posted on craigslist earlier today.  sent text saying would send cashier check - no questions about the jet ski.  Guess he thinks we are all stupid.  sent message back replied - ever heard of google you scamming assh@le!!  also filed report.  Don't feel it will do much good but better than doing nothing I guess.  Your days are number "Michael Garner" or whatever your name really is

this guy just texted me not 10 minutes ago wanting to send me a check for my car. I told him to come pick it up and hand me cash and he has yet to respond. Someone seriously needs to find this guy and give him a good ol' country a** whooping!

Received text message stating he was interested in buying our truck. no questions, simply that the would mail a certified funded check and he would then send someone to pick up the vehicle. Knew it was a scam

just got a text today. Asking if car is still available. Googled the number and found this. Reported the number.

got a text from this number as well for a m/c on craigslist....been through this before with other scammers...they will send a very real LOOKING cashiers check for an amount more than you are selling for and ask you to return the difference...they claim its a bookkeeping mistake....checks are all fake and if you try to deposit it or cash it your on the hook for the money.....all BS

This is a scam... The best thing to do is take your phone or text to the police dept. This guy needs to be arrested for fraud........He outta North Carolina

Got a text from this number, wanting to send a certified check, and after funds they will send someone to pick up the car. They're not interested in talking on phone. It sounded fishy so I never gave my address or name. This problem has scam written all over it.

The same thing just happened to my husband today. This guy Mike texted him less than an hour after we posted a 68 cutlass for sale on craigslist. He wanted to send a certified check for the purchase price of the car plus an extra $2,800 for us to pay the shipping company when they pick up the car. My husband called me after he had already given him our information. I immediately knew this did not sound right. We tried to call the guy back, but of course no answer. I have reported this incident to the police and we have found a legitamite buyer for the car. What the hell is wrong with people these days..uugh

Just put an add on craigslist and got a text from this number

This dude is stupid, i got two checks from him and was told i wanted to buy your car, well one of the checks has a company that isnt in Business any more and the other one has a tax office on it. So if you see this number coming across your phone please dont fall for it. I catch him in the act, and today i am meeting with the local FBI and Lubbock Police and Secret Service about this.

Now he is using 980-202-0818.  He texted for a Craigslist item and wants to send a certified check instead of Paypal.  What a joke and a fraud.  he had me email pics of the item to FEDERICO.LONELY@YAHOO.COM

He has been traced I spoke to FBI today. This guy had made 23  request as me 1-1-12, he is using an American number from SC, but the phone is in south America. He F****d with the wrong chick, I kno people that kno people that mess people up.

I also receieved a txt inquiry about an item I have for sale - anonymous person offered to send Cashier Check.  Seems like a fraud to me - wish I knew how to report this to the FBI and Attorney General's Office...

This person text messaged Me offering a cashiers check in exchange for some RIMS that i was selling. I have reported him to FBI and Attorney General Office. They are coming for you Michael. Go FYS!! LOL
