Good thing you didn't. From all observations, this is not a legitimate third party collection agency (will not provide a legitimate mailing address to dispute the debt, making illegal threats to "ruin" your credit on an unvalidated debt, demanding immediate access to your banking information, disconnected or bogus callback numbers, etc.).

If they call again, tell them your are recording your phone call (legal in most states) and will be reporting them to the Federal Trade Commission, your State's AG and/or Office of Consumer Affairs if they do not comply with your request to validate the debt within five days and IN writing, per FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act) laws. And, if you live in a one party State, you do NOT need their permission to record the call.

We have been getting calls for the last week from 800-566-0794 ext 104 (same number and extension as you) stating that I owed $80 for some laboratory.  Fortunately, I did not give them a credit card or banik debit card as they asked for.  I received calls from a Jennifer Thompson and then a Chris Billingsly (propbably made up names).  I offered to send them a check which they said they could not accpet.  I toldf them I thought this was awfully strange that a collection agency would not be willing to accept a method of payment for a bill... I have tried to call this number back several time and receive a recording that the number cannot be completed.  I do not know how they got my number and they had my cell phonoe number too and I do not even give that number out.  There are some real scummy people in the world.l don't know how they sleep at night.

Last week I received a call from 800-566-0794 ext 104 fromn a Jennifer Thompson telling me that I owed $80 to Advance Fitness Solutions.  They demanded a credit card payment or a debits card from my checkin accountl  I discussed this with my husband and then the following day, I received a call from a Chris Billingsly who told me the same thingl  I was worried that maybe I did owe something but I did not want to use a credit card or a debit card.  I said I would send a check and Chris told me that they cannot accept this method of payment.  I sstated that I thought this was odd that a collection agency would not accept a method of pahyment!!!   He told me that he would discuss it with his manageer and call me back.  I never heard from him.  I have tried the above number and received a recording that the number cannot be reached.  Glad I did not send a check or giave them any information.

I also received several phone calls from this number on 18, 21, and 23 January 2012.  The person that called me was named Dale Cooper representing ADS Collections trying to get my credit card number to take care of this $80.00 debt that was declined by my credit card.  Mr Cooper stated that his company tries to solve these types of issues before they went to a credit reporting company.  I had my husband to pick up the phone and had Mr. Cooper to repeat the entire conversation.  We both told him that we would not provide him a credit card and to send us paperwork and then we would take care of it.  Mr. Cooper stated that he could not provide the paperwork because this was a computer generated call.  Mr. Cooper stated it was probably for some type of diet pills that was purchased.  He stated that the pills named RESVARATROL was sent to me.  I told him that I did not purchase this type of medication.  I had purchased one bottle of ColoThin and Maximum Burn Extra and had cancelled the account and had the paperwork to prove this.  I kept telling him that I had not purchased anything from this company.  He asked that I go get the paperwork while he would stay on the phone.  We asked for his telephone number to return the call once I had the paperwork before me.  He stated that he could not provide me with a telephone number since it was a computer generated call.  At this time he stated that he would close the account since I had the paperwork.

On 21 Jan 2011 we received two calls from this company and when I answered, they hung up.  They later called back and my husband answered the phone since I was away from the house.  The lady identified herself as Charity from ADS Collections Agency and wanted to speak to me.  My husband stated that I was not here and tried to get the reason for her call.  She would not talk to him, but left her phone no as 800-566-0794 Ext 104.    The number showing on the phone was again 980-225-1246.  Someone called again on 24 Jan.  We did not answer the call.  I tried to ADS Collections this morning at 11:50 a.m.  The phone was answered by a recorded msg giving the name of the Company as ADS Collection Agency and to enter the ext if I had it.  I entered the Ext 104 and got a recorded message to leave my name and phone number and they would return my call.  I am going to report this to our local police to try and stop the calls.

Debt Collector
Sunday morning and I just got a call on my cell from "Unknown".  After asking who this supposed debt was for, she said they were a debt collector for Advanced Fitness Laboratories.  The debt was $80.  She said the debt was a result of my credit card being declined for a "colon cleansing product" a couple years ago.  She had the last four numbers of a Chase Visa credit card that I had canceled three years ago due to a fraud alert due to an acai vitamin scam.  When I explained that to her she said there was still nothing she could do if I did not agree to pay her now. I asked for the contact name for the company and was again told the name but that she did not have any way for me to contact them.  She again said that if the matter was returned to the company, they might report the matter to three different credit bureaus.  I told her I would try to contact the company and resolve myself.  After hanging up I googled Advanced Fitness Laboratories and found this site. What a relief to confirm my feeling of a scam but scary that they would have information linking me by name, by cell, and by the last four of a canceled credit card... Watch your credit reports diligently if you are contacted by these folks...

This time when they called back I was ready.  I got their full company info.  The name of the company is ADSF Collections.  They are based out of Orlando, Florida.  My operator's name was Michael Spicer.  They are trying to collect a debt for Advanced Fitness for $80.00 but said that they would settle for $60.00 otherwise they would report it to all three credit bureaus.  I said I wanted to check my records and call them back.  He gave me the number 1800-566-0794 ext 103.  He had the last 4 digits of an old credit card number.  I had to close that account because the credit card company said there was a security compromise on it.  I confronted them about how the number is listed as a scam.  He tried to say that their company has been around for 20 years and that if they owed $10 they are sure they would have heard about it.  I told them I was reporting them and not to call me again.

A woman and man have been calling our phone number since Jan. 18, 2011.  A total of SEVEN calls
during this period of time.  A woman said,  her name was Jennifer Thompson.  The man did not give his name. The times for the calls are : 6: 50 PM on the 18th; 3:51 PM on the 19th; 11:49 AM, 2:06 PM, and 4:25 PM on the 20th; and at 10:26 AM and 6:37 PM on the 21st.  I traced the calls and they are coming from the area around 4th and 5th Streets in downtown Charlotte, NC.  In the area of CMS District
offices.  I am convinced a scam operation is flurishing there. This operation is crossing state boundries.
I'm from Ohio.

Caller with asian accent called, stated that aI owed $80 for a product purchased 2/1/2009 gave last four digits of cc expiration date 9/2010.  Also, stated the card was declined, I need to pay today if not will send to all three credit bureaus.  I explained that I had not received any form of communication from
advanced Fitness Laboratory requesting payment.  Plan of Action, gave information, received e-mail that claim is paid in full, called the company back, identified my employer, and reference this web site.  He stated that he will reverse the charge on my debit card.  I also called my credit card fraud hot line and immediately close that debit card.   I have enough audit trail to effectly correct the problem.

OMG I just got this call too. It freaked me out so I went online to check out "Advanced Fitness Labs Health Products" which is the supposed "collection agency" that was going to take action if I did not pay $80. Luckily I found this information. They somehow are able to view previous purchases you made in the past. Mine was for some ACAI berry product that I purchased in 2009. She said the company tried to contact me 3 times. I told her that I would not pay anything because I knew I didnt have any debts outstanding and she threatened that she would report me to the credit bureau. I told her I would take legal action and she hung up. Sounds like an African American lady and she is rude.

Called to let me know that I needed to pay a debt of 80.00 for a product I received in April 2009 that I never ordered nor did receive!  I did not give a credit card number nor did I accept to pay this debt.  She stated she could only tell me it was from Advanced Fitness Labratories but didn't have an 800 number for me to call.  She did not sound professional or for that matter, very intelligent on the phone!!!

Jan,  I have been going through the same situation, exactly!  This company calls me saying they are collecting $80.00 for Advanced Fitness Lab. in which I supposedly purchased and item with my credit card that was declined, that was the first clue.  Why would a company send me their product when my payment was supposedly declined, and then why not contact me or send me a bill.  Second clue, why after almost 2 years,( my purchase was supposedly in March of 2009), without ever receiving any notice from Advanced Fitness Lab am I all of a sudden contacted by a collection agency?  This agency wants me to pay with my credit card immediately to prevent further action and damage to my credit!!!  I can only say that I am so happy that I found this site and all of you other people that are obviously being scammed also. Reading all these other reports that are just like mine has made me believe it is a scam, I was so confused and afraid that I didn't pay something and now had to deal with something that I had no recollection of.  I feel much better now and I will not pay these people any money!! Thanks again for taking the time to write your story so that the rest of us can know the truth and not be suckered into this scam.

I also received several calls from this number.  They used same name Advanced Tech. Laboratories.  They said I purchased free sample of Tooth Whitening product and didn't cancel prior to 15 days.  The wanted $60 to pay off $80 debt.  Since I remembered the free sample and getting something else related that I didn't order, I was going to pay them with my Amex.  As I was giving the man the number, he said his supervisor walked by and said that machine wasn't working.  He asked me to give him a bank debit card and I refused.  I took down all the information he gave me but was unable to locate them via the internet.  The 980 number was also a fax.  They answer the 800 number as a collection agency with no name.  The employee, Chris Sikora, told me the best way to handle it would be to buy a visa gift card and give them that number and that would be the best way to settle the debt.  I'm giving them nothing and reporting them to the BBB and the police department that I work for.

I ha ve recieved  calls every hour from this number.  I looked up the number on a reverse look up and it is a landline number from Charlotte NC.  There must be some law that is protecting this scam it seems odd that many of the calls are for $80 dollars.  Why not 100?

I just received a call from this number saying I ower $80 dollars from Advanced Fitness Laborotories from February 9, 2009.  I gave them a credit card number - although I was very hesitant to do so. I immediately came to this "Advance Fitness Laborotories" and see that other have had the same situation.

I immediately called my credit card company, reported this as fraud and cancelled payment.

I  received a call from a collection agency stating that in March 2009 I received a free product that had been ordered on line.  Because I did not respond  in the first 30 days after receiving the product I am being charged $80.00 for not sending the cosmetic back to the company.
The collection agency would not give me the phone number of the advanced fitness laboratory health
company which makes the product.
The caller said this is now  being handled by the collection agency.

I just received a call tonight saying I owed $80.00 for a purchase of "resveratrol" made in July of 2009 that I supposedly never paid and it was being turned over to a collection agency.  I asked what it was used for.  He said it was a cream for my face.  I have never purchased resveratrol cream.   When I told him I wanted to do my own investigation into this suddenly we were disconnected.  I called the number back and got a recording saying  it was disconnected or no longer in service..........just another scam.  I hate these idiots!
