Just received a call from this number to advise the power is back on in my building.  

were calling to let me know power was restored.  Looks like they would know that if the answering machine came on.

Duke Energy called & left a voicemail informing me that there was going to be a Public Hearing in regards to them raising their rates in case I wanted to attend.

Duke energy called me to let me know my power was back on.

called on my cell phone,i didn't answer.they  didn't leave a message in my inbox either.it was a telemarketer.i will not answer a call that has an odd area code.

I have had this problem before. They stop after a while, probably after the idiot pays his bill or gets his power turned off. If you want, you can say "yes", and if you get the chance, curse them with an abundance of colorful metaphors and dare them to turn off the power.

yeah, they just started calling me, leaving no message. and now, after reading these posts, they will be blocked, hardy-har-har.

I have been trying, for a year (sence i bought this phone) to tell them My name is not "Best" Please remove this number they said "OK they would fix it" not an hour later i recieved another call. Maybe we should all get together and hire an attorney. it sounds to me like they want to harass people into paying for someone elses bills or they are just dont give a ****.  How can a company this large justify the waste in time and money by not updating their files.  Phone numbers are not responsible for the bill. why don't they go to the neighborhoods where the delinquancy is and see who lives at the address of the bill and varify the correct information.  Sorry I'm sick of my phone min. being wasted.

Yeah, you do have a choice! You could always buy a generator, and make your own power!

I received a call from this number and didn't answer because it was from NC. They left a voicemail message with just music playing.

I received a call from this number and it is Duke Energy. The power in my area went out on March 25 th just after 10 PM. When you call to report a power outage they ask if you want to be called when power is restored. Since it was late at night and power wasn't expected back on until 1:30 AM I had them call me back. Luckily power came back on 30 minutes later. They called and this is the number on my ID. They called me back to let me know power was restored and even gave me the correct time so I could reset my clocks.

For the past three or four months i receive a call on my cell phone from this number, when i answer it prompts, if you last name begins with Nort please press two, if not please press three.  Each of the half dozen times they have called i have chose the option explaining that my last name does not begin with Nort.  Finally, after i excused myself from a meeting to take an unknown call (i never saved the number and use my phone for work so i am obligated to answer unknowns) that again wanted Nort I decided i had enough.  I called the 800 number and explained to the representative that I have owned my cell phone number for 10 years and that I believe they have the wrong contact infromation for someone whos last name begins with Nort.  They acknowledged that my number was listed for someone else so i asked if it could be removed.  I was informed that Duke energy could not remove the contact number without the delinquit a**hole who doenst pay their bill giving permission.  I think this consititutes harrassment and i offered to fax verification that this was my number to Duke energy but it didnt matter.  Finally i spoke with a supervisor and was told that i wouldnt receive another call.  Of course, three hours later, while i was eating dinner with my family i recieved another call for Nort.  I called my cell provider and got the number blocked, as i pay my bills and dont need to be reminded but I think it is bad business practices from a company that couldnt care less because we have no choice but to have power through Duke energy here in Charlotte.

Duke Power calls from this number to tell you that they have sent you a cut off notice. Check your mail and make sure you either pay your bill or make a payment arrangement before 5:00 p.m. on the cut off date.
