I also just received a text message on my cell phone from 2524122@vtext.com.  The text message says [[Southern nBank]]  Call: 980-263 3956.  Your immediate Atention Is Requested.  NOTE:  I know the word attention is mispelled, but that is the way it appears in the text message.  I received this message on March 2nd at 2:54pm.  (My co-worker also also received a text message on Sunday, March 2nd from Southern Bank with the same message; but the call back number was difference; it was from a 252 area code.)

I received a text on my cell phone from:  "2524122@vtext.com"  The message said " ([Souther nBank]) Call:  980-263-2956  Your immediate attention is requested "    I received this message on Sunday March 2 at 2:55pm     I do not have any business with Southern Bank.  I am reporting this as a scam.

Just received a text message that listed Southern Bank and 980-263-2956. It said "Your immediate attention is requested." I've never banked with Southern Bank and knew it had to be some sort of scam.

Got a text message saying it was Souther n Bank ( noticed the n was separated from the rest of the word) and it was urgent to call this number concerning my account. Didn't call, don't have an account with that bank

Similar threatening message left,  Called Sherrif's dept and reported but they said they cannot do anything unless they make demands

Claiming that he is a  police officer from Southern Crime Investigation Network,  investigating a crime under my identity.

All they needed to hear is that your wife is an attorney. You will never hear from them again.

Got a call from this number saying that there is a federal complaint against me. My wife is a lawyer, she got the call and  she was really worried. We dialed back and I could tell it was an overseas call with lot of static. He wanted my name which I unfortunately gave then he wanted to know our phone number at that time my wife introduced herself as a lawyer and the guy hung up. Really upsetting that this guy is making all these calls and there is no remedy from this kind of fraud and harassment.

i got the called from this number as well today and i was not home my fatjer got the call and the person want to have my contact number and threat made to my father that i won money and have arrerst warrant against me. i was shoked to hear that so i called back the number. the guy had indian accent and was telling me that i own unpaid taxes and there are other complants files against me and did the local police had contacted me in last few days and we will be taking action again me. i reply to that man that always pay my taxes and have not own anything to anyone nor have any crimnal record and you must have me mixed up with some one else and then he hang up..

Received a call from the above number. I didn't feel it was legit so told them to hold on a second while I recorded the conversation on my end. He got a bit nasty after that. I told him I need to take down his phone number and details as well to inform my attorney so we can fight this illegitimate phone call.  He gave me this number (as shown on caller ID).  Then, I called him simultaneously from my cell phone and no one answered. Gave it a few numbers and called back and told them someone was coming for them. He freaked out and hung up.

Got a call from 980-263-2956 today (Oct. 29th). The accent sounded Indian. The guy claimed to be from the dept. of Homeland Security. He said that there was a legal case against me. I told him that the DHS does not make personal phone calls and that I did not believe him, and hung up.

Just spoke with someone at the FBI about this and they said they WILL NOT investigate this... Told me to report to the FTC

I got a call today as well with this scam.

Called them back and they just hung up on me.

Someone in an official position needs to hang these guys out to dry.

I received one of theses threatening calls just yesterday, called the PD however there is no recourse other than filling a report. I have come to find out someone actually paid into this scam. I am amazed at how brazen this setup is the telephone number is consistent the message is consistent and it involves our federal agencies and involved government agencies cannot put a STOP to this victimization. That is a very sorry state of affairs. I really would like to find a citizens  protection unit contact and pursuit this if any one has any leads please post.  

I just got a call too from these people with a similar message about legal troubles. I urge everyone here to keep calling them back just to mess with them. This way they're more occupied with us rather than innocent people.

I got a similar call yesterday, this guy on left a message saying that I'm in some kind of legal mess and on a watch. The very instant I knew it was a scam. I suggest who ever speak with him/her get their email address or some kind of physical address or if they ask you to send money get their details so that we can make a very good case against these people. I think this guy is based in India and using some Voip calling. This guy needs to be apprehended A.S.A.P.. I and along with people here on board were lucky enough to do our D.D to find out what this is and I feel sorry for who fall for this trick. Any aforementioned info pretaining to this guy will help track him/her.

I got a call today from 980-263-2956 and the name he said was Jordan Lopez claiming that my husband is being sued by IRS and he should call back. When I checked this site I understood the prank and called him back asking for the address which he refused to tell. And so I just shouted at him and asked him to shut up and put the phone down.

A lady called with an Indian accent talking about some prosecution with the last name Lopez. Please be careful not to reply to these scammers. What a waste of time! They need to do something better in their life. They will receive very bad karma.

I received the same type of call today. He introduced himself as Officer Watson from The Homeland Security and that there are 3 legal allegations against me. I told him I have no idea what he is talking about and I am going to contact my local police. Then I hung up the phone!

I received the call today from 980-263-2956 with Indian accent and he said Officer so and so speaking from Homeland security. I happen to pick up the call and I told him I do not have anything to do with Home land security. I will have to report you. The guy just hung up.
Earlier also similar accent guy had left a voice mail stating he is some officer and I need to get back with them as "the matter is regarding your name and you need to contact us immediately otherwise actions will be taken against you."
This is so wrong to harass people.

Got a call from this number from  a fellow with an Indian accent calling himself Jordan Lopez claiming to be from Homeland Security and calling about taxes I owe to the IRS!!!

I called him back and asked for his address and then he claimed to be Alan Walton and refused to give me his address. I asked him if the dept. of Homeland Security was scared to give out its address, and he started to waffle about saying he didn't know who I was. If you want some free stress relief, call the guy back and yell at him. He is a great punching bag. I told him that I  would send Homeland Security after him if he didn't deliver an order of chicken tikka and chana masala in 30 minutes....

Same message as FA caller left VM saying - homeland Security officer name Ian Paterson. There are 3 legal allegations against me. About to prosecute me if i did not call back immediately and speak to Senior Security Officer Allan Walter.

Got a call phone message yesterday saying that he was a homeland Security officer name Steve Watson. There are 3 legal allegations against me. About to prosecute me if i did not call back immediately and speak to Senior Security Officer Allan Wilkins. Returned call and mailbox was full. Will report to the police.

Got a all from someone from this number today @ 4:50 pm EST claiming an officer from homeland security by the name Stew Watson and asking to call back immediately saying there is a complaint against me. I wasn't home at that time and my wife picked the phone and informed me about the call.
I was told by one of my colleagues @ work that there was a scam going on. Knowing this, returned the call to the caller but the  scamster was on another call and also couldn't leave any msg as the mail box was full. Will report the local police tonight.

Got a message in my answering machine - person identified himself as Michael Brown from Homeland Security saying that I have three illegal activities and that I have to call this number as soon as possible.  The person had an East Indian accent.  At the end he said God Bless you.  I did not call back but entered this number in the internet and found this website to report illegal phone calls.

Received a voice mail from this number saying he is working with the Department of Homeland Security and that there is an issue with my identity and that I can be a a lot of legal trouble if I don't call back.  Caller extremely hard to understand, kept name dropping different people he works for.  Can only understand part of each name due to accent.
