they are called academic advisers. callers name is ashley, they are a land line out of pikesville or owings mills maryland. they have the land line through verizon maryland inc.

Just called me...when I called back it was some sort of fundraising committee. .

actually, home phone providers DO have a feature called 'call block'  you can block the 'last number that called' up to 12 numbers( on centurylink provider)  im pretty sure AT&T also provides this feature for free.

Bizarre calls.Apparently they pretend to be ucangocasino or something like that with 20 dollars in your account.They pretend you registered at their casino somewhere.

980-265-5583 calls, caller ID: Customers Support and Also SRVC - guys says hello? i said hello, and he says, my name is Robert and then hangs up.

recieved VM from this number today something about my card companies have authorized them to lower my interest rates call back to take advantage of this special offer - blah blah. BLOCKED.

Yes your home phone carrier should have a feature to block any number. I did it with Telus, just added it to my home phone features package just like you would for caller I.D. Etc......

Mine was the same, and last night when I asked who was calling at 11:30 PM he said Academic Advisors. Like you could not find a company with that name.

Gigats is the job search engine I used and next day starting getting similar callers but from different numbers, same person and just before 11pm and midnight. Have blocked calls today, so will wait and see if I get any more.

Got two calls today from Academic Advisors. They had different phone numbers. One was this. The other from AC 404. I googled Academic Advisors. Ain't no such outfit, at least on the first few search pages. Caveat Emptor.

About five minutes later, I got a call from another spammer, 216 282-5538.

I've been filling out a lot of online job applications lately. Makes me wonder.

FIRST OF ALL, DO NOT ANSWER OR CALL BACK UNKNOWN NUMBERS.  Doing this just confirms a working number and they will keep calling or sell your number to someone else who will start.  If calling your cell, ignore them by adding the number to your contact list and silence the ringer. You can delete missed calls at your convenience.  Good luck.

Called me 20 minutes after I entered my phone # for a Kohls job on SnagaJob.com.  Silence. Asshats.

Well, now I don't feel so bad...stupidly answered a call from this number. Of course there's no on there, until I say "yeah, that's what I thought" and in trying to hang up someone miraculously comes on the line...I didn't even listen to them, I simply said "you have no intention of talking to me, you're dialing multiple numbers and waiting to see who answers, you have no right to call me"...CLICK, the a***ole hung up...imagine that!!!!

well i dont know who this number belongs to of 9802655501 and i wish whoever it is to leave me the f*** alone cause my parents always told me and my sisters to never deal with those kind of numbers and if they cant well then thats their tough luck and i dont deal with those numbers at all.

I applied for a job this morning online using snagajob and within minutes I got a call from 404-902-5787, 216-282-5538 and 980-265-5501.  All said they were "school advisors" and they received my number from an application I posted online.  

I can't beleive how much BS i am enduring by simply applying for a job!  Never again.

Called me this morning at 7:42 am (illegal), using an auto dialer to a cell phone (illegal) and I'm on the do not call list (illegal.) Reported to FCC.

Over two days the same company (Academic Advisors) called me on three different numbers: 404-902-5787, 216-282-5538, 982-265-5501. I did not answer either of them, I called them on Skype to see who they were.

The Do Not Call list has too many loop holes that allow so many companies to share or sell our phone number and other information to annoy us like we have nothing else to do.

So this is like school trying to enroll you for school. This is crazy. If you wanted to go to school , you can definitely do that on your own without any inquiring calls that are not a one time deal.

The caller Id on my phone said " Academic Advsr". . I did not get to answer it but it has been calling a few times today and it is getting very annoying since I have little ones that go down for nap.
