Called twice this morning - once at 8:19 am with an "Out of Area" designation, then again at 9:05 am with a "'NC Call" designation.  The first call did leave a very fast spoken 800 number in a male's voice.  My assumption is that it is either a scammer or collector.  And, I absolutely agree with Ed.

I think I didn't start getting crazy calls until I went on the National Do Not Disturb List...

Caller ID just shows a dot - No message anytime they call.

This number is calling 2-3 times a day starting 9-11 in the morning to 9 at night with over 12 calls recorded in the last week alone. No one is on the line if  I pick up and try to request that they stop calling.

THESE PEOPLE CALL ALL THE TIME, LEAVE NO MESSAGE. ON THERE DIFFERENT OCCASIONS I ANSWERED THE PHONE BUT NO ONE ANSWERED,FINALLY SOMEONE SPOKE AND SAID SHE WAS JULIE CALLING FOR THE SHERIFF'S AND POLICE FOUNDATION. ASKED HER TO TAKE MY NUMBER OFF THEIR LIST AND SHE SAID OK.SO THIS BETTER BE THE END OF IT.

I received a call this morning @ 9:00, from 980-265-5542.  I have received from 1 to 5 calls each day since the 9th of this month, and no one has ever said anything when I answered.  Then I started picking up the phone and just not saying anything, they would hold the line for about a minute or a minute and a half, then hang up.  This morning I picked up and after a long wait someone called me by name, like they had known me all their life and asked me for a donation to the Fund for police that had died in the line of duty.  While I have a great sympathy for these brave men @ women, I am old and in dad health myself and these calls are very annoying to me!  I told they that and asked them never to call again!!!!  They said OK.  They are probably a fund raising advertizing people who give the Police about 1 or 2% of what they take in, but they give the people they are suppose to representing a very BAD NAME!!!

I am so sick of dropping what I am doing to run to the phone and find out it is from this number!!! No one answers you. I guess the Do Not Call Registry doesn't stop cell phone calls.

I don't pick up unknown caller...very annoying; receiving calls 2-3 times day.

When we got home after a couple of weeks, we had more than one call per day from 980-265-5542 warning us of identity fraud.  Return call obviously bounced from one number to another--then no response.

These people keep calling 6-7 times a day and don't answer when you pick up.

Please stop calling our number..it is REALLY annoying. We have caller id and will never answer you so dont bother calling. (505 466 1935) Please remove our number from your list.

These people keep calling 6-7 times a day.  Don't answer when you pick up.  I have even picked it up & said "stop calling here" and hang up.  VERY ANNOYING!

We get calls from this number several times a day.  We have caller ID and always see their number.  We are on the Do Not Call Registry but it does not seem to do any good.  These people are a nuisance!!!

They are calling every afternoon.
They don't say anything.Very annoying.

I also had a call from this number..I did not answer the phone...There was no message. I also thought I was on the Do Not Call list.

When they answered  and they were collecting for the Police Chiefs Association.  I hung up..

They are calling daily...I added this number to my blocked call list...and they still called!!! Time to call AT&T.

I got a call from this number while I was in bed for the night.  Nobody on the line.  One day they called twice. I wished I knew how to stop them from calling.  I'm suppose to be on the no-call list.

No one there when I answer on numerous occassions. Appear they are calling daily. Called the number back  and just get hold music.

Received a call from 980-265-6542  11/15/2012 @ 9:30 A. M.  Answered call,  but no one acknowledged on other end, and after 30 seconds they hung up. Did not attempt to call back as I see it as a  waste of time.

They will not respond when I answer.   I called the number and had no response after 31 minutes of hold music.
