Got a call from ALARM SYSTEMS this morning, no one there. Added the whole 980 area code to my Digitone Call Blocker. I realize I only need calls coming from maybe five or six area codes, so someday I am going to get around to blocking all calls, and using the invite list for only the area codes I want. Anyone else who knows me can send me a US mail letter . At work I have all these callers wanting to send me a white paper, I just tell them to send a paper copy US mail to screw with them; they say they can't. They are just trying to get email addresses.

I have received calls from this number, 980-265-5614 every day multiple times a day for serveral weeks. No one is on the line when I answer or they hang on answer machine. I have called the number back everyday to an automated voice to press 1 to be removed from their list and will not receive anymore calls. It does not work. They continue to call. I am on the state and federal Do Not Call list. This is harassment.

We answered the phone and asked 3 questions: 1) Where is your company located, 2) How did you get this number, and 3) What is your name? It was obvious it was scripted, and these questions clearly threw "Katherine" or whatever her name is off of her script. Her script, evidently, was to try to give away a free alarm system, but we never let her get far enough to give her our information. Consider this a scam. If you answer the phone, I encourage you to ask 1000 questions to get them to state their purpose. Then, report them.

I answered "Alarm System" calling from 980-265-5614. Caller is a very clever recording that responded to my interruptions by laughing and giving other programmed responses such as "Oh, I think we have a bad connection". Asked if this is a recording, the response is a laugh and "I assure you that you are talking to a live person" or something like that. I said "If your a live person and not a recording, tell me what's 2+2". She says "That's silly". I insist that she tell me what 2+2 is. She becomes more serious and says "I can't answer that. We have very strict phone protocols". Remember the Twilight Zone episode where newlywed William Shatner and his wife go into a diner and there's a fortune telling machine at their table? It spits out generic answers to any inquiry and Shatner believes it's real and his wife has to drag him away. That's what it's like talking to the Alarm Systems lady. You may as well be talking to a bag of fortune cookies.

I've had numerous calls from this number as of lately. Finally, I decided to answer this time. Of course, "Hi, I'm Christine and we're giving away 21 new security systems in your area, how are you today?" I responded "Sorry Christine, but I'm on the Federal Do Not Call" list" to which they responded ........... click!
