Same thing here. Messaged me saying he wants to buy my car and ask for my paypal address. Best to ignore him than playing with fire.

I just had someone attempt the same scam on me using text messaging to communicate. At the end of the scam a fake paypal email is sent out stating that the buyer has transferred money to my account but the funds are being held. If I went to Western Union and sent $950 to a company in Texas which will transport the car from Florida to Texas they will release the funds immediately. I called Paypal and they confirmed it was a scam.

This individual did the same thing today trying to acquire my bothers car through Craiglist. This person is still scamming!

Also posted a truck on Craigslist. Within 45 min this number text me and asked for my Pay Pal info so he could transfer funds and that he/she is an oceanographer and working on the coast. My husband and I googled the number and found your post... Thank you for sharing this info!!!
