An Indian man called and told me my windows computer was sending malicious things and when I told him I used a Mac, he hung up.

A guy called from this number & asked for me or my husband. He mispronounced our name so I knew it was a telemarketing call. I told him not to call our number again & he asked if I was ho**y. (I wasn't interested in making a love connection with a creepy stranger so I hung up and blocked the number.)

Just got a call form this number, foreign accent, lots of noise in the background like a telemarketing sweatbox office or trade show, but nothing about my computer.  The lady said she wanted to talk to me about my higher education.  Told her i'm not planning on doing any and hung up.  As I was hanging up, heard her trying to stop me.

985-601-7243 called - a scammer from India sounds like. said he was from Microsoft Windows and my computer was showing errors and they needed to get my computer info to fix it. when i questioned him and his company and his title, he got mad and told me i know nothing about computers and he has all my information already.

Scammers don't even pick up the phone...

Needs to be jailed at once.

Got a call they asked for my dad i winter to know why he told me is for higher learning I Know it was a scam and told him not to call any more and he hung up. I hate these dumb red dot NDN's

Received a call from this number just now from a Matt. He told em that I was having problems with my windows computer and I told him I dis not have a windows computer. He then asked how many do you have Bi*** 1, 2, 10 or 50? I told him not to be an A hole and hung up. He called again and asked why you hang up Bi***? I told him I was a police officer and will get him arrested, then he hung up.

Received call today from this number with someone claiming that my computer had been hacked and they were trying to "help me fix my problem."   There was a lot of background noise and I could barely understand them.   They had a foreign accent (Indian) and when I asked them to stop because I could barely understand them he hung up.

I work in IT and NO computer company will ever call you because your computer has been hacked.  This is a scam and an attempt to gain personal information.   Unfortunately the number 985 601-7243 is also a spoofed number so you can not call them back and attempts to report will do no good.

This phone number called me at around 12:00 on 6/14/14. Guy with accent was asking to speak with the person that owned the computer in the house. I asked him "why does he want to speak with the computer owner of the house?" He pretended he did not hear me, and continued to ask. I repeated my question several times as he continued with his inquiry. I used more and more profane language addressing him, and received profane language back from him. Then he hung up. We have this person's number, this must be legally actionable in some way.

Received call stating he represented Microsoft and I had viruses on my computer and I needed to open my computer so he could show me where. I told him I wasn't going to open my computer and I would just have to live with the virus. He hung up. I get calls about every two months from this same man.

A call from 985-601-7243 (area code is the New Orleans area).  A man with a very thick foreign accent accent asked "Hello, can I speak the owner of the computer in this household, please?".  I told him he had the wrong number and hung up.  I'm well aware of folks receiving these calls from a supposed "Microsoft" person, so beyond that it was a NOLA number, I knew it was a scam immediately.

I pay money to AT&T to have my number unlisted, and it's on the Do Not Call list.  Thank you AT&T and Congress for doing absolutely nothing for the people of the US to resolve these kinds of well known and documented phone scams.  You cannot tell me that AT&T does not know where this phone number originates, while the NSA knows what I had for breakfast.

Just got a call from this # but they asked for the wrong name so I said "that person isn't here, can I help you?" And they hung up. Tried to call back but said it was an invalid number. Thanks for posting info about this scam #

You're right on there! It is VERY obvious that you received a call from the raghead computer scammers, who try to rip off decent folks, in order to feed their camels!

Called and said he was from Microsoft and was getting error messages from my computer.  It is a scam.  

This India butt wipe just called me also claiming the same (from Microsoft and my puter has malicious errors) ... I told him I don't have a @#$^&*' computer and hung up on him... He also called a couple of weeks ago and I told him I cant understand a friggon word he is saying and hung up.... these calls get me ripping mad.

I just gotta call from this number.  The caller was speaking indian or somthing in the background and was male with I beleive another female laughing in the background.  Left the phone on didnt reply and they eventually hung up.

Called at 1 am and woke us up.  When I answered concerned it may be an emergency nobody spoke so I hung up.

I received a call asking if I own a computer the individual wanted to talk to the one who own the a computer. I insistingly put the individual off and hag off.  This person call back and when I did not answer se left a nasty voice mail full of profanity.

A***ole from India keeps calling me to tell me that he is from Microsoft and that there is something wrong with my computer, I told him that it was funny because I did not own a computer then he said that I don't have money and that I was a broke a***ole  and to go and f**k my self. I wish I had an address for him does not matter were in the US so that me and my friends Mr. Smith and Mr. Wesson can pay him a visit. He call me from 895-601-7243.

Another hang up call from "windows"

Just had 3 missed calls from the number.  I tried calling it as I thought it may have been a relative overseas however it told me that the number was incorrect .  The exact number shown on my mobile was a hang up message showing the number called was from 001119856017243 however the number came up on the phone as +19856017243.   Scammers I believe.  Well they will get a mouthful from me.  

Same as other people. Claimed they were getting errors from my computer. BS. I asked him what is my computer brand and he hung up. Sounded like he was reading from a script and from India.

Scammer claiming to be from Microsoft. Laughed at him and hung up.

Called me & when I said I'm on Do Not Call List he told me I wasn't on the list & he could call if he wanted. Tried to get my info for my computer as well. I told him not to call he proceeded to cuss me out & threatened to come to my house. I dared him to come over & he said he'd see me at 9.

Called my house telling me they were getting errors from my computer. Claimed he worked for Microsoft. When I told him he wasn't getting errors from my computer, he told me I didn't know "s***" about a computer. Apparently I was smart enough not to let him in my computer. He then hung up
