Yes, I am getting many calls that are going unanswered because I do not recognize the number. I am 84 years old and have trouble getting around. Luckily, my phone talks to me and tells me who is calling, so I can just ignore the call. They never leave a message.

I got a call from 985-635-4267. It says that it s from Covington, LA.

Only message left was a "beep", then "goodbye." We're also on the don't call list however, I understand if they're listed as a charity (501c ?) they're exempt. Maybe we should ask ,if we ever get a real person, how to sign up to receive funds from their group? Bet they'd hang up real quick. :)

I just got a call from them.  When I called back I got a recorded message that says they specialize in fundraising for not-for-profit groups.  I didn't hang around to talk to a person, but so annoyed that my number is on a list.  

Yes.  The problem is that they are robo callers.  You can't report them for Do No Call violations because the number you see is just a transfer through number.  When you answer, it transfers you to a different number that does not appear on your caller id.  I have Time Warner so I input the number on the block list.  The problem is that Time Warner generously gives you 30 numbers to block but you receive 50 different calls.

Good grief!  The purported users of this number include republicans, democrats, St.Jude Children's hospital, the Salvation Army and other non-profits --  a strange mixture, indeed.  I don't understand how this works, and fortunately, I didn't answer.  

Just recieved this call around 8:30 pm.  Didn't answer.

Called the number back and they answered right away. Said they were some committee for justice. I asked why they were calling as I am on the do not call list. They said they would remove my number. We'll see.

Received a call from 985-635-4267 from Covington, LA.  Unfortunately I was expecting a call and picked up the phone in error.  OH NO here we go again - Money, Money, Money.   She claimed she was from Salvation Army and wanted a donation.    I usually don't pick up the phone.  Fine, I warned her we don't donate to anyone.  Well that's OK, send me all the stuff in the world, we recycle everything.    

Received a call from this number a few days ago.  Accidentally answered while I was fumbling to get it out of my purse so I went ahead and talked to them.  She identified herself as being from St. Jude's Donations.  She was asking me to increase my monthly donation.  I had re-signed up as a Partner in Hope earlier in the year.  I told her I'd already increased my monthly pledge at that time and she thanked me.  She was polite and not pushy and ended the conversation without any more requests.

Also just received a call.  I never answer numbers like this that I don't know, so I'm not sure who it was, but I do know I have been getting a lot of calls from random numbers in random places over the past few weeks.

I get at least one call a day from this number. I don't answer it and they do not leave a voice mail. I would like this to stop immediately.

Same prob - even better - get this - my father recently passed away from cancer - I inherited the family home - my parents have had the same phone number since 1966 - I wanted to keep the number because - well you know - my mother passed awy in 2000 - my father took care of all bills before he passed away - as far as he knows (knew) - now all of a sudden Discover is ringing the phone off the hook every day about a bill they say was never paid (B***S*** - it was paid) - I have already told them that she passed away 15 yrs. ago and do not call anymore - But - the only alternative is to file a complaint with the Louisiana Attorney General's office - Yah like that will do any good - WE NEED TO FLOOD THESE F"n  SALES PEOPLE AND LYING BILL COLLECTORS PHONES LIKE THEY DO OURS - Everyone needs to work together and use reverse look up to locate their offices and anyone who can needs to catch them in the parking lot and beat them into a pulp!!!!!!!!!!

Just got a call. I don't answer calls from numbers I don't recognize. They didn't leave a message. Reverse search says it's from Covington, LA. Some people on here say it's a fundraising company. I'm sorry, but there are too many telephone and U.S. Mail fundraising scams today, especially in the name of politics. Forget it; if I don't know the reputation of a non-profit, I won't give to it. I especially don't give money at traffic stops, either.

Just got a call from this number a few minutes ago. It just said "Louisiana call" so I didn't answer. They did not leave a message. I'm assuming it is a telemarketer.

we're on the do not call list but are inundated with calls from telemarketers.

I check into all of my unknown received calls, and find that most of them, as it seems this one is, are calls from a third party solicitor that calls on behalf of various legitimate charities to request further donations. If you read comments of others posting here, many state that the callers identify themselves as representing an agency that the poster has contributed to before, hence their familiarity with the name of the person they have called, etc. As a rule, I do not answer these calls, nor would I donate through an inbound call that I am not certain of the legitimacy of. I do think they are calling on behalf of these real organizations, but I choose to deal directly with these agencies online, or by placing my own calls to a known, verifiable number for a cause I support. The folks that work in these call centers seem to be terribly unprofessional, untrained and untrustworthy... Though they might be calling for a real charity, I would not trust giving them any personal info they could decide to use for some fraudulent purpose, if they independently decided to steal and use what is offered while under the employ of one of these third party agencies.

Caller ID said:  Coventry, LA and the phone number.  I have a Panasonic phone that lets me block 250 calls.  I'll just add this one to the list.  I have no idea who the caller was, and, it appears none of the other people reporting to this website know either.  Like most of the other people, I am also on the Federal Do Not Call List but it doesn't seem to make any difference.

Just got a call from this number. It was the Democratic National Committee asking for donations to "fight the Koch Brothers seed money". I told this ignorant woman she should ask George Soros and Mark Zuckerberg for more money.
What a bunch of hypocrites! I guess it is ok for Billionaires to donate money to the DNC but Oh My Lord our democracy is in peril because of the Koch brothers.

I got a call on my cell phone from 985-635-4267.  Possible when I listed something on craigs list recently.  I reported the unsolicited phone call to the FCC National Do Not Call List Complaint via online reporting.  

Called the number back and got a recording identifying the company as a professional fund raiser. I took the option to have my number removed for future calls. I hope that it works.

It's Holt International - a good company that sponsors children in need.

I missed a call from this number. I called it back to see who it was. The person who answered said they were MDF, a paid fundraiser, calling on behalf of the Catholic Medical Missions Board (CMMB). That is a legitimate charity that we have donated to before. Requests for donations for charitable organizations are exempt from the Do Not Call list. If you don't want them to call, I think you would need to ask to be removed from their calling list.

Amazing how many calls I get from calls that block their names on the caller ID seem to be coming from MDS Communications.  This looks like one aggressive scammer that calls from quite a few different numbers to get money from people by preying on their sympathies for charities.

amazing they are still using this number since the complaints first registered here in 2013. These robocallers should drop dead. I must 5-6 a day. I report them, they do nothing.
