May be a company in Louisiana, but companies can get local numbers even if they are out of state. It still rolls through their 800 # so they will get your caller id if you call back from another line. They could have local numbers for all the places they solicit to get more people to answer thinking it may be someone local who they know.

Just recieved a call from this number. It must be a scam because i dont even have car insurance.

I keep getting a Robocall from "Auto Insurance" company asking you to press 1 for quote.   If you hand up, it calls you right back within a few minutes.  If you hit one, you get a sales person that when you ask to be taken off the list, doesn't even allow you to finish the request before you are hung up on. I have tried repeated times at getting someone that will take me off the list results in them hanging up on you without ever speaking. This is pissing me off. They call everyday!!

These low life trashy people some how got my cell phone number... Not sure how since I am on the GOVERNMENT DO NOT CALL LIST!! But they are now calling from 225-590-7042.. Same computer message 1 for insureance saving and 2 to be removed. I pressed 1... A lady answered and when I asked the name of the company she was calling from she hung up on me! Of course this only make me call back even faster but getting the same result many times! After many more calls I finally asked for a manager or supervisor and they said they didn't have anyone, after that I proceeding in finally getting my number removed and then I left them with a little piece of my own mind. These people are pieces of s*** and I hope they die a slow and painful death!

I got a call from them today, you can block that # on your cell phone.  On android, go to call logs, click on that call, pull up the menu.

I got a call from them, everyone needs to call the National Do Not Call Registry number at 1-877-382-4357 and file a complaint, this is the only way something can be done to stop companies like this. If enough people call they will be fined for not adhering to the law.
So everyone Please call the number and file a complaint !!!!

GOT A ROBO CALL FROM 985-878-5721 THAT STARTED OFF WITH A SPIEL ABOUT MY DRIVERS LICENSE AND THEN WENT INTO INSURANCE SELLING. I TRIED TO CALL BACK TWICE AND WAS HUNG UP ON. I HAVE MY NUMBER ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST AND IT IS UP TO DATE.

Robocall that did not identify its originator company, just launched right into a spiel about 'overpaying for my car insurance.'  Clearly not a company I have done business with.  Hung up.

same call What threw me off is the prefix is assigned to a city in Independence, usually landline. I received the call on my cell phone and called them back from my google voice number, she gave me same spiel about low rates, placement center, blah blah, I then told her it was a call center forwarded number and I was angry they had my cell phone number, she cut me off and said goodby!!!

Received call from automated attendant, which played a greeting instructing me to press '1' for more information, or '2' to be "removed from a list". I pressed 1 to get more information, and was bridged to an agent who referred to herself as "Erin" within about 15 seconds. She rattled off an introductory message about saving money on insurance. I asked the name of her company, she said "The Auto Insurance Placement Center". I asked what state the company was registered in, she responded Louisiana (my state). I promptly searched business registry for Louisiana and was unable to find any company with that name registered. I asked for the phone number to her company to which she said she could not give it out, that the number that showed on the caller ID should be the number to her company. I continued to ask about what state her company was registered to do business in, she mumbled that I would not be called by her company any more.
