the same think just happened to me!! $449 to ATT

We received an ACH debit from our bank account of $380.33 on 7/29/13. My bank told me it was from AT&T reference 986-403-1003 and gave me Tel. # 800-585-7928 to contact AT&T. AT&T told me it was to pay a bill for Gamallea Simorangkra for account 9096456751 & 9096637464. This is a fraud.

Just saw that this group deducted $505 from my dad's account last year.  I called the bank and unfortunately I am past the 90 day dispute period.  Need to contact ATT fraud department.  This sucks!!!

My mom has been being ripped off by these people (Att Payment XXXXX.... Myw9x , Web ID: 9864031005) intermittently for over a year; the bank AND AT&T just stonewall her and won't help- makes me think they're in on it. You ever find out anything more about it?

Just happened to me.  I have never paid At&T with a check but someone got my acct. and routing #.  I have to close my bank account account and open a new one!  B*****ds!!!!

They just withdraw several amounts from our company account, also ATT, filed a police report and prosecute now! BoA is thankfully giving us all the money back.

This phone number doesn't exist, at&t told me that it was against the law to tell me who it was who used my account info to pay their cell phone bill or buy a cell phone with it. I had to go to the bank an inform them about it and then close the account and open a new one up. They also did FPL, and Comcast bills. Look at my post!

I just had the same problem with my chase account they paid the bogus att cell bill or bought a phone, paid their FPL bill and Comcast bill, I had to put in three claims with chase regarding all three transactions that were not mine and the thing about it I never ordered any checks for the account and an a guy has a check with my rounting and account number in his name and address with the comcast bill payment amount! I am going to the police today with all information and going to prosecute the person fully!!!

WOW.....just found out a couple of hours ago that some one had paid SEVERAL different types of bills using my money from chase bank acct. Been searching all the different transaction numbers and this number was the only one i could get a hit on. Can someone tell me what their outcome was or findings about this number?

My Grand-daughter has paid her phone bill twice using these # plus power bill and it is over $1.000 she has taken fraudulently.. No more I am waiting for the police to pick her up. I have canceled 3 accounts and opened new ones. I think jail would be good for her and her drug habit!!!

Same to me. 2 ATT charges on my checking account related to this number. Need to cancel and open new one. Fraud. B*****ds.

someone took money from my account and paid their AT&T bill that had this number. Don't know how they got my bank info.

I just did as well.  The name was kiki coleman.  When I called ATT they told me there were 12 accounts listed under this name but all the accounts wee inactive.  do you know how they got the bank acct info?

Did not get a call, but someone from that number withdrew money from bank acct. for $400.00 to buy a phone from AT&T. Would love to find out how they got bank information?????

not only that, they charge you $15 for doing the transaction with a person, unless you strenuously object.
Reading these stories about AT&T funny stuff, it makes me think that maybe they make it nearly impossible to successfully pay using your phone keypad, so that you get put with a live person, knowing that 95% of the live-person-transactions will net them an extra $15 - easily a million bucks a year in their pocket, by a simple sleight-of-hand.

But I do appreciate the irony of it, from the point of view that this is probably the ONLY time we get quickly connected to a live person, WHEN WE DON'T WANT ONE!

I saw it on my Wachoiva account as well... it has happened 2 or 3 times. Blatant fraud. Reporting it yet again and closing the account this time. Not good for my credit since it has been open for God knows how long. Wachovia promised me they would prevent it from happening again but guess what... they failed. Oh well, their customer service and bank hours are pathetic.

NEVER GAVE MY SAVINGS ACCOUNT INFORMATION TO ANYONE OVER THE PHONE BUT SOMEHOW/SOMEONE KNEW MY ROUTING AND SAVINGS #'S TO PAY FOR AN ATT BILL. I DON'T EVEN HAVE AN ATT PHONE OR ACCOUNT.

If at anytime you paid your ATT bill using your debit card and the recording came back on and connected you with a person, at that time you gave them a check over the phone, at that time they had your checking account number that is how the money was taken out of your account.
this is what happened to me, I paid my mother phone bill using my debit card and a recording came on as though they could not understand my card number, when a live person came on I gave an echeck, and from that money was withdraw from my account. also, the day I paid my mother's bill is on my statement as 4 days earlier than I did actually paid it. and the money from my checking account was the actual day I paid my mother's bill.
