called my cell just now to tell me my computer is sending error messages to MicroSoft. - I've never given out my cell phone to register anything online. 'Oh, we're from MicroServ not MicroSoft'. They hung up when I asked them to give me my ID # and OEM #.
GIVE THEM NOTHING!!!
run a malware scan right away...

told him I have a tech support guy runs large co he takes care of any problems I have. this is true I thought phony from get-go said my windows could not up date told him could not understand him.i am 73 and in college for 2nd degree not stupid but it makes me afraid for the countless who are just starting out and will believe them.

Jennifer Jones Windows Technical Department just called claiming that they were receiving error message from my computer. How?? I don't have any accounts that have complete access to my computer and I don't know any Indian people named Jennifer. Asked if I could call her back. She gave me an 800 # 800-464-7407, Please let me know if this is legit. I wouldn't give her any information or access. Just told her I had an emergency and then she gave me the number above. Thank you.

DO NOT let these scammers have access to your computer. They will likely put some sort of malware on it and steal your banking info/identity. Just hang up on them, or better yet, don't answer the phone in the first place if you don't recognize the number.

This just happened to me a male I could barely understand claimed he was from windows and said I have something malicious on my computer that wont let windows update and that hw would help me take it off. Nope I didnt do it sounded to suspicious to me.

The same thing happened to me as it did to Chris. He wanted me to log on to my computer. This guy was Indian. Seemed really suspect.
