call came in at 3:09am Aug. 23rd my answering machine piked up. The message was a womans recorded voice I only recieved part of the recording it said (to refuse this prepaid call press 1 to prevent from this facility press 6 to report this as a harassing telephone call 9.)

My family has recieved many calls from this number claiming to be the saginaw county sheriffs depatment DO NOT AWNSER IT IT IS A SCAMMMMMMMMMMMMM many people have reported it and it needs to stop people need to stop acting like such idiots and behave them selves like all those little punks!!!!!!!!

received call 5-11-09 4.15 am saying would i except collect call from then i heard a scrambled saying didnt understand message and didnt except call tryed calling back latter in day was busy

I got this suspicious call yesterday. Very strange.

I received a call from 9893979041.  The caller ID showed the number but it said the name was unavailable.  The call was collect and the recording said it was from the sherrifs department and it was an emergency.  I did not accept the charges.  When I did a reverse lookup I saw that many others have had a similar experience and wanted to report the call.

I just got a call from this number and really wasnt paying attention, because it was a recording. All I heard was sheriff and then some one mumble there name. I didnt except either. Weird

Our famiy gets the same call at night. Mostly Friday nights. We actually just recieved two within 3 minutes. It is a message from the "Saginaw County Sheriff Dept" to accept a collect call. We have no clue who would be in Saginaw County Jail so we do not accept the call. A man's voice is on the recording. Sometimes we cant hear him and tonight he said "Whats Up" the first time and "I need your help" the second time. I still dont accept the charges. I dont know if this is a scam or what but be careful.

Continues to call later at night and not leave a message.  When I try to return the call it rings busy.
