Got tired of these people calling and answered the phone. The person on the other end mentioned about representing a Children's Leukemia organization.

Keep getting calls from this number and asking for me by name.  When you try to call back, all you get is a busy signal.  Very annoying and rude to boot.

Unfortunately you are not alone.  Beware of 810-224-5028.  They don't leave a message either, amd the line is busy when I have tried to return the call.

Got call on land line. Did not answer and no message was left.  Sounds like scam tactic to me. ID says Alma, MI.  Also got call from 248-429-4201 with ID of Oxford, MI. Same thing.  Bet they are both scams.

This caller has called my number several times, but left no message.  Attempts to reach them by return call resulted in 10 rings, then a busy signal.  They are obviously the worst kind of caller; one that annoys you and hides when called.  They are immune to the DNC list, or think they are.  The only reason they exist is that people give them money to keep calling.  DO NOT GIVE THESE CROOKS ANY MONEY!

COMMON sources for these calls:  HAITI, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC, JAMAICA, DETROIT, CHICAGO? What do these places have in COMMON???

Call came in today at 10:35AM.  Caller ID: "MICHIGAN CALLER".  Let it go to machine; they HUNG UP before it picked up!

MR. NUMBER reports this number as AN INVALID NUMBER and therefore 100% SCAM.

WHERE do you get your information on "hundreds of people sitting behind desks at our expense, doing absolutely nothing for a big fat paycheck..."???

The Do Not Call List is part of the FCC which does MUCH MORE than just maintain that list/website.

Have you REPORTED all your spam calls to them at www.donotcall.gov/complaints ???
Then HOW do you expect your government to work FOR you - if you do not give them the information to work with???  Do you expect them to READ YOUR MIND?  Do you expect them to MONITOR your phone calls FOR you?  THEN you'd be crying "Government Spying" or some such crap.

STOP WHINING and do something PRO-ACTIVE, besides posting here.  THIS site is for INFORMATION ONLY to other 'victims' of these calls. The DNC LIST **DOES NOT** maintain THIS Site.  THEN we must TAKE ACTION ourselves, like REPORTING the calls and taking steps to BLOCK them with our OWN phone equipment/technology.  You are on the right track by looking into a new phone system.

BUT, STOP disparaging ALL GOVERNMENT; you do not EVEN KNOW how much they are doing for you, UNSEEN and UNREPORTED.

Call just came in at 10:35AM today (4/30/13).  This string has been in existence for 6 months now.  Hope EVERYONE has been reporting them to www.donotcall.gov/complaints.  That is the only way to SHUT THEM DOWN, if they are not legit; which it sounds like they are NOT.

My call came in as "MICHIGAN CALLER" and they hung up BEFORE the answering machine picked up on the fourth ring!  Our machine recorded a DIAL TONE!

really tired of this....what good is the "no call" list when i still get these calls....

I went back and checked.  It was a Michigan call and I have reported this number before.  I've blocked this number now.

Got a call from this number today @ 1:52 pm.  I picked up the phone but just listened, held my finger over the receiver mic. so they wouldn't hear anything in the background.  I wasn't in the same room where my TV is. The lady asked for me. I didn't answer and they just hung up.  I have a Panasonic phone too and have already blocked those frequent caller numbers.  I'm sure I've gotten calls from this number before so I'll just add this one.  No name on caller id, just the number.

You're right, a charity scam that I'm sure pockets most of the money, if not all. This time they used the paralyzed veterans, I have also had calls from similar numbers, using children with leukemia, breast cancer, ect.

Telemarketer collecting for the Paralized Veterans.  Another charity that pockets money instead of helping someone I'm sure.

Two calls from them today, one from 248-429-4201 mentioned above.  Didn't answer either one.  Looks like they're well known to be a scam "charity".

Second call from these people to my cell phone today.  Earlier they used a different number.  Found out that they are likely a charity scam with addresses in a few different Detroit suburbs.

Got a call today from this number did not answer....got "suckered" in to donating a few YEARS ago and now get several calls (not all from this number). When i call the number back some of the auto answers tell me they are non-profit and therefore are exempt from the do not call list, which SUCKS!! Will NEVER donate money this way again.

I have had four calls recently from the same Michigan group asking for $15 from other charities.
There numbers are as follows: 810-224-5028   989-462-0241   248-639-4121  248-429-4201.
I am sure that all of these are scams.

the only thing you can do is not answer. once you do, they know its a valid # and you will have dozens more calling. the "Do not call " list is just another government joke, like most federal programs, created to fulfill promises by politicians for govt jobs for support. there are hundreds of people sitting behind desks at our expense, doing absolutely nothing for a big fat paycheck and that will never change.just look at it as another screwing to make the rich richer and the working families homeless. where do I get the panasonic phone, and how many numbers will it block?I would appreciate any info on the panasonic phone. thanks  Dave    jddenn@mchsi.com

Called me Thuesday at 8:27PM CST.  I did not answer.  No message left.  I wish the Do Not Call laws had no loopholes.

They call and leave no messge, when trying to call back that number its busy or recorder stated number is no longer in service, they called in the past and never leave messeges, its very annoying!

Max thank you for mentioning that you can block calls from your Panasonic phone. I have one as well and did know I had that feature. I added 989-462-5028 to the block list as well as two other that keep calling my home.
