Received 2 calls back to back from the same number...both had Indian accents and both said their name was Peter. Both said they were with Windows Technical Assistance. I asked for information on they type of computer and they said the "computer you use with Windows on it"....I said I have 4 computers and need to know which one. THEY HUNG UP!!! Get out of here with that foolishness!

"Josh" with an Indian accent called around 7:30 a.m. saying that he was with Windows Technical Assistance. I asked how I could be sure he was with Windows--he said to go to my computer and he would show me. I told him he woke me up, and so he said he would call one hour later. He did. I had googled his number and told him that I found a number of fraudulent calls linked to his number. He hung up.

Same deal. Indian accent says "there is a problem with my computer" he will help me fix. I hung up.

I also received this call yesterday, but I didn't answer. I am glad I didn't as I don't know anyone in Saginaw, Michigan. Thanks for reporting this.

I got the same call, I knew it is a scam so I told him to get lost and something else ...... . I hope I will not get any more call from them.

Guy with an indian accent called today claiming my Windows" PC was infected. I asked him what the IP and MAC address of this infected pc I have. The funny thing is, I don't own a PC. I have a MAC. He hung up when he figured I was on to him. I like to keep these a**holes on as long as possible just to play with them.

These foreign pricks think all Americans are stupid and think we are going to fall for their name being Peter Williams with a heavy Indian accent. Fool please. These scammers will call you to get your password information. Don't give them any information. If you ask them the name of their company, they will not give you one, just saying they are calling from the Windows technical department. Hang up on their scamming behinds.

Caller with an Asian accent says he is from Windows reporting that my computer has a virus.. Yesterday the same person called for my mother saying the same thing. My mother died 18 months ago.
