Call your main phone carrier. There are many scams run from prison numbers! Good luck.

They called my phone, called me "Uncle Bill," and set the whole thing up as if they were calling from jail. There was a recording at the beginning that said it was a collect call from the "Claire county jail" and that the collect call couldn't be connected, but as a "courtesy 'some company name i cant remember' would connect us and after the call we could set up details to pay for calls from this number." When the call connected, the person said, "Uncle Bill, oh sorry wrong number." I hung up the phone and didn't wait on the line to see if they tried to get any info. I am curious about what else can be done, the call was repeated 4 times before I finally talked to the person and I am not sure how to find out if it was a scam or not.
