make it stop!!!!!!

I have received 2 phone calls from this number and on both occasions I told them I use imac. Which is true.He was very insisting , and tried telling me they were trying to help me prevent my computer from crashing..I don't beleive that Microsoft provides this form  of tech support for free..Still very frustrating to have to engage in conversation especially at 10:30 at night..

They called me a day or so ago.  I knew from the first that it was a scam so I adopted my best Anglo-Pakistani accent and started questioning him.   Asked him how he could tell there was anything wrong with my computer since he was in India and I was in Southern California.   Silence for a minute and he says "Really."  Yeah, I said, really.  Called me a f****ng fool and hung up.  Nice diversion.

They have called me multiple times - at 7:30 am and 9:30 pm at night.  Seriously, I laugh at them and ask why if they are in England do they have a number with a Michigan area code.  What I really don't understand is why they continue to call me when it should be very obvious I know they are running a scam.  I enjoy asking questions like "if you can magically associate my phone number with my IP address, what is my home address?
I have also received a similar call from 661-393-5332.

This number has been calling me, they seem to be ONLY talking bad about my wife. Never said anything about Microsoft. But my ex is a computer programmer and our son is internet security and works to Donate his time to under cover to catch a phediphile (Spelling) online predators. But he abuses his use of the fbi computer systems by always hacking my systems and attacking my wife that's a good woman and would actually give you the shirt off her back as long as she had her bra on. They live on government money they never worked for and use people and take money they lie about. I could go on and on it's just that my wifes blood pressure is so high and she has asthma and low blood sugar that they are attacking her because they all know this and I know they want her to have a massive heart attack or asthma attack that triggers a heart attack and kill her. My ex belives I would go back to her, since I have ben with my wife now of almost 13 years I could NEVER go back to that kind of crazy life. I would die because that family is nuts. I am seeking legal help because my wife is not well from the stress. Dave                                                                          

Just got a call from this number... Saginaw, MI - glad I didn't pick up

Got this call late at night, its a harassment number, it really should be blocked by the phone companies.

This guy is a scammer, will try to get into your computer by saying your PC is sending malware, once you let him in he'll steal your money!

I got the same call this morning - Spoke to him some - he got me into event view and then showed me how many errors I had - then said that I needed to delete these errors and warnings- Of Course I couldn't and this is when he said he needed to remote into my computer - Right! I told him I was not going to do to that until I could confirm he was legitimate:) ask for him to provide a call back number and once I had time to research this more I would call him back- click - the phone went dead - I guess he no longer wanted to help me.

They have been calling us a lot, today was the most absurd, 6:32am. I've told them on many occasions to STOP CALLING MY HOUSE!!!!! Now the phone rings and when you answer it..... They hang up!
If you block them from calling, they'll just call from another bank of numbers~

Called at 11:00 pm

Heavy indian accent caller said windows had a problem. I told him I had a Mac. He hung up.  

Also, i listened to the guy for a couple minutes and hung up. He called back again and I said, leave me alone and hung up. Then he called again, insisting he was doing me good.  That is when I did the search.  I wish there was something that I could do to these people.  Grrr....

I received a call today 7/1/2014 at 10:30 pm.  Calling that late and telling me i have issues with a computer that I rarely use, i was suspicious.  As I went through the prompts I did a google search and found this.  Yikes!

A call from "Mark of Michigan" with Microsoft #989-696-1012 (heavy India accent) said my computer was infected with a virus & it was affecting other computers! "Are you aware of this?" I said no, but thank you for this information I will tell my son! I then hung up! Knowing that this must be a scam!  

I keep getting called from this number at random times. My husband answered once and he said they mentioned something about "windows". I wish I knew who sold them my number.

Person called me at 6:40 in the morning stating that they are from Windows my computer has been affected with a virus and it's slowly spreading. Had me check 3 things. Told him I had to go to work and said I'd call him back . He said he'd call me back and didn't' give me a number. This is number belongs to someone trying to scam people.

Phone ID shows call from "Michigan" came and awakened us at 11:04 p.m. We have been getting calls from "microsoftscamscum" lately and recently my partner got into a long conversation with them, leading them on....anything to cost them some time, just don't give them any info. This call came to our home in northern ca.

Call and left no message on my answering machine.

I also received a call from this number 989-696-1012 (and 989-729-6833 earlier today) from accented male saying from 'Microsoft'.  (gotten this call ~ 8 times over last year)   I talked longer with him this time and to try to win my trust, he provided this Microsoft license security ID number ... supposedly from my computer... 00C04FD7D062.   Q & A on Microsoft site about scam calls also warned they are providing this number which is apparently a number common to all comuputers.   I also found another site by searching on 00C04FD7D062 and it was very helpful by explaining this scam in detail .... 'They will then ask you to execute the command ?assoc? in a DOS prompt, and then ask you if your Consumer License ID is 888DCA60-FC0A-11CF-8F0F-00C04FD7D062. Just got a call at 7:15 this morning. I almost believed it because I had recently downloaded Microsoft Office. The woman with the heavy Indian Accent said that malware was being downloaded onto my computer. I checked the computer as we were speaking and ran McAfee... nothing detected. As I thought it through, I realized that the person wanted access to my computer. By the way she stated that she works for "UTI which had been contracted with Microsoft". I hung up. Then I called back. Busy. What a SCAM!

lol, wish I'd been as bold. I did tell the guy  knew it was a scam, and pulled out the f-word several times, made him hang up. Microsoft has no role here--we are expected to be a little bit smart.

Call at 2:50 a.m. last night from 989-696-1012 and 4th time they have called. They just hang up. I'm in Toronto, ON. Can.

scam. they called at 1130pm, lady with heavy accent. i used to work microsoft pss, they are NOT calling you randomly to help with anything, ever. don't fall for this.

Got a call at 11.48pm from # 989 696 1012, from someone with an Indian accent claiming to be from Microsoft, and wanting to talk about Windows.
After I suggested he attempt something that is anatomically and physically impossible, he hung up.
Perhaps Microsoft should be aware that scam callers from this number are pretending to be from Microsoft.

got a call from this number caller ID said Michigan.  Said was from microsoft.

Just hang up on these fools. The lady tells me she's from Windows and wants to check the errors coming from my computer. There is nobody from Windows who is going to call you. I guarantee you this is a scam. If you do what she tells you to do, she can access your computer and whatever information you have on it. Please do not fall for this SCAM. Senior citizens, be aware, everyone, be aware, this is nothing but a SCAM.

I was called at 11:32 PM!!  Caller with heavy India accent.  Says... "there is a problem with Windows on my computer""I asked if he knew what time it is here.  He said "yes, 11:30 PM"....Said he was calling from "London, England" When asked his name he said: "Luke Smith"...I asked his phone number and he gave 1-800-556-3000.  My caller Id shows (989) 696-1012.  I told him it is illegal to make calls at this hour, told him I thought he was a f---king scam and told him not to call my number again.
