Some telemarketer or scam artist wanting info to lower your credit card debt.  I hung up as I want no part in their business.  I wish these calls would stop!  They are burning my minutes...  Is there any way to have my provider AT&T block them?  They seem to change numbers when they call..

To stop these calls, call the one who is selling you number. Call 1-800-345-5866 then press 3. Make sure you call them at least 10 times in one day. Company that is selling your number is Carol Wright Gifts. They need to know what it feel like getting these stupid phone calls and text messages all day long. As far as Scammers they are on the top of the list.

I received a call from this number.  The recording said "this is a public service message letting you know you can become debt free for free.  The laws have recently changed to protect the consumer.  Press 1 to get information on how to completely wipe-out your unsecured debt, credit cards, medical bills, auto repossessions, personal loans, student loans.  Anything can be wiped out. Press 1 to speak to a counselor. Press 2 to be removed from the list."  If I select 2 then I continue to receive calls.  If I press 2 I get the following message, "Your being connected to a live operator.  Please enjoy the music for just a moment while the connection is completed." After listened to elevator music someone comes on and says, "Would you like more information?"  I always ask what company is calling and I'm immediately hung up on.  My local BBB has received numerous complaints about them.  They call from various numbers/area codes.

These morons call my cell phone. So I block them with Google Voice. Now when they call, my phone doesn't even ring. And they get an "auto message" telling them that my phone number has been disconnected and to please check the number and try again. Google Voice is an awesome tool for cell phones. You should check your phone/service and see if it's an option for you. I block ALL unwanted calls in this fashion. It's hilarious to check my spam folder and see all the calls that I don't get, and when blocking it with Google Voice, it doesn't burn up any of my cell minutes, Google snags it before it even gets there.

We keep getting calls from this number.  Someone claiming that someone called from our number to request assistance in repairing credit.  We paid off all of our credit cards back in 1999 - then cancelled all of those accounts - because we were afraid that the computers would go berserk at the turn of the century.  After all the dust had settled, we decided that we LIKED living WITHOUT credit card charges hanging over our heads - so we just never did open up any new credit card accounts!  Since we have NOT had any credit cards for the past 12 years, it is an outright lie for these people to attempt to claim that they are returning OUR call because there is NO way that we would have had any reason to contact anyone about repairing our credit!

I have been getting the same calls. Registered via https://esupport.fcc.gov/ccmsforms/form1088!createComplaint.action . I recommend anyone who lands here does likewise. My case number is listed and separately printed and saved for my personal records, in case I need to put continuance on the same complaint.

I recommend others line the trail the same way, so the FCC can find this company and shut it down.

I have received several calls about lowering credit card interest on home and cell phone. last time I told them I haven't used a credit card in several years and wish to be taken off their list. was told they work for another company that takes the calls and was given a number to call to be taken off list, it was for a fastener company and they had automated message saying the other company is a scam and giving false numbers. tried calling back original number and get one long busy signal. if they call again, I am going to report them to states attourney and  better businees bureau and try to have it stopped. I'm tired of them burning up my cell phone minutes. just taked to my mother, she is getting calls on her cell phone, too.

I had reported this to the Washington State Attorney General's office, and I received a phone call from them yesterday. They are aware of this company but can't do anything. The company is located outside the US and uses computers to spoof their phone number. It appears as though the call is coming from somewhere in the US, but it's not.

The AG lady said that there is nothing anyone can do at this point because the crooks are outside the US. The best thing to do is to just hang up and DO NOT press any numbers, even the one that says they will put you on a do-not-call list. Pressing any number tells the computer that yours is a real phone number and they will continue calling you. They will probably also sell your number to other companies.

Remember, just hang up and DO NOT PRESS ANY NUMBERS. She said eventually they will stop calling.

Just one caveat.  Unless things have changed, one must add themselves to the DNC list every 90 days.  I know quite a few people who  signed up once a few years ago and think they are protected.  That isn't true. Hope this is helpful.

I average 2 calls a week from these idiots, and I AM on the Do Not Call List! So, I started entertaining myself with them. So far I've had two of their women screaming profanities into the phone. One woman said she was going to file charges because: "you just made a sexual harassment call" until I reminded her that she called me. LOL She hung up.

As soon as the recording begins, push 1 and you'll be connected to one of their employee's. They begin with "do you want to lower your current interest rate?" Say "NO, I want you to lick my (be creative) and ask for their home phone number. Keep them on the phone, be vulgar & disgusting. Remember they called you, so have fun with them. DON'T GET MAD, GET EVEN!
