I got several calls with 999 area prefix. Same as the other people, however the last 7 digits were different. This old girl didn't just fall off the wagon! If you want to rid yourself of these annoying calls you might try call blocking. Call your telephone company and see if they can give you any assistance.

I  have recived  a  note  from Mr Mike Brown  ( mkclaim2118@hotmail.com)  from  the  UK National Lottery    toll  me  that  i won  a prize  of  520.731.00$   and  i  send  him  my  datas  adress, fhone , names,  .....and  after  i  contact  with  Dr.Frank Richards   from  the  Bank   with  this  email :  customerservice@standarchtbk.co.cc....
Is  it  thru  o  what  happens  abouit it .....

received call from this number stating from a man saying he was from Bell Canada, Could not understand him, very bad language barrier , if you receive a call from anyone from this number stating it is BELL CANADA, IT IS NOT, I WORK FOR BELL CANADA IT IS A SCAM PLEASE BE VERY CAREFUL DO NOT GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION.

Reported this guy to (cfr2008a@consumerfraudreporting.org) hopefully they will catch him and the number 999-488-7765 will be gone. By the way this is a spoofed number which means its not the actual number being used.

I had a posting on Craigslist and said something about ebay. His English was very bad and the quality of the call was very bad. Sounded like he was in some sort of call center as I could hear multiple voices in the background.

I asked him if he wanted to buy my product and when he asked me for my email I told I would rather not give it to him. Then he hung up on me.

If I was a betting man I would put my money on him being a scammer!

dont trust this guy calling from 999-488-7765, he is trying to steal your ebay account.

I got a call from this #.  Said he was interested in my vehicle I had for sale on ebay a few months ago.  Told him I was only interested in selling to individuals, not companies.  Could tell he was very fishy based on the way he talked.

I also get calls from this number.  Does anyone know how to trace to report to authorities????  It is definately a scammer.

This person keeps calling! He/she doesn't leave messages and they are getting really annoying!

I got a call from this number.  I couldn't understand the person's not-so-English speaking.  All I could catch after having him repeat himself twice was that he was saying he was a "representative of eBay" and wanted to know something about something I was selling.  I couldn't make out the somethings... but I knew to hang up on him based on his awful English speaking skills, the fact that it's a 999-number, and that I am not currently listing anything on eBay.  Oddly it sounded like he was calling from a call center somewhere.  Either his job is to scam people or he works for a call center and is using their property to try to scam others on his own.  

Message: stay away from 999 numbers.  According to whitepages.com it's not even a valid area code.

Got a call from this number but did not answer. No message was left. I have never seen a '999' area code before. This area code is supposed to be an international calling card area code or telemarketer area code.
