Just got a phone call from an Indian guy, said the same about my computer being hacked, going to loose all my data, made me feel bad saying I received many warnings and he can help me right now to solve the problem, told me to go to my pc and push the windows button or something like that. I stopped there...asked him his phone number to call him back after I talked to my IT friend, he gave me another number than the one he had called from and told me he's from web to face windows service but didn't seem to be to interested anymore...

I answer in French: "Oui, Allo? Oui, Allo?" (Translates to: "Yes, hello? Yes, hello?").

All I heard was: "*BEEEP*... Goodbye" and it hung up.

Probably some scam.

Just got a call from this number at 7:45 on a saturday. asked for mr or mrs ( my boyfriends last name) first red flag og of a telemarketer. I asked who it was ... answered so and so from windows. I asked what they wanted he repsonded with your computer has sent us a message it has a serious virus. I respond with a sarcastic "really"? He says "really bi***"!.... and I hang up. WTF!

I got  a couple call from 1-999-910-0221  telling me  I got a problem with my computer I said "  theres  no problem at all"  , then he said   my computer is calling  him to help repair.. lol I know its non sense  very  vague  like   calling from Windows company ...   after he  told me  We need your   username and password  to clean  this   , when I reply" No thanks" , he said  %?#W$?$@? in is language  and   he finnaly hang up on me

I receive like   daily call similar and often there no voice at all   and it automatic shut down the call after 7 sec.

It took awhile before I even understood what they were talking about - poor call quality, strong accent - something about a virus on my computer. I told them I'd get some help with it, thanked them for their concern, hung up and hit the Mute button on my phone. They said they were from Windows...so obviously not...

Still going on apparently. Received the call today. The guy doesn't introduce himself. Can't say the company name. Remains vague. "Calling about my computer"; "What is this about?" "I'm calling about your computer, sir." "What do you mean you're calling about my computer?" "Your computer is doing something wrong." And such nonsense.

I received a call asking information about my computer telling me I was infecting others each time I used Internet ans if i was aware of the situation...  I didn't give any information.  I suspect that call is spam...

I received a call from this number too.  I don't know what his name is, because I didn't understand him.  He told me I had a problem with my computer, and I said, no I don't, he said yes you do.  I said, ok let me hear your sales pitch, then he told me something profanity......to do to him, and I hung up.

Well. This is interesting. Just as I was heading off to bed at exactly 9am I received a phone call (999-910-0221) This is 2 days in a row that I have gotten that call at the same time. Today, there was someone on the other end. The heavy foreign accent man on the end of the line tells me his name (you guys know me and names) and then says 'his company' (which is a phrase he uses quite a bit)has been receiving error messages from my computer. He then tells me in a heavily rehearsed script that these are not viruses, but error messages, so that is why my computer cannot detect them. He waits for me to respond somehow, (I probably said something like "oh yea?") He then tells me he'll need access to my computer. I asked him, "Um, what is your company?" He responds with "Windows. Computer Repair"
........Obliviously a scam eh? "I Don't believe you, Goodbye."

Keep getting annyoing calls from this number.

Got a call from that #...........but I didn't answer.  How do they get our #s......& how can we stop them?  I'm on the Do Not Call Registry!!

I just rec'd a call from that # ( according to caller ID.  I didn't answer & after reading all of the above complaints, I'm glad I didn't!!  Great......now they have my #.  I hope they don't call back.........

Received call claimed to be from Microsoft Windows wanted me to log on my computer as it was possibly going to crash if I didn't address it. Man did have foreign accent told him I would have computer looked at I was not comfortable logging on to it for him he then replied "it would cost me money to take it somewhere." I said oh well and hung up.

Just got the same call. They called before but did not leave a message so I checked the number and found this site. So, when they called back 5 minutes ago I knew what to expect. Same as what the other posters have said. I told him off and he said he was calling the police because I swore at him. lol Then I posted a warning on my facebook account about it. What a jerk, they must think we are all idiots.

I just received the same call from  a man with an accent , said he worked for windows in Toronto. Told me there were errors on computer also. Because i had the same similiar  calls before, at that time i did call the police  to report it but they could not trace the call to anyone specific but the call came from  california somewhere. he said all i could do was make everyone i know aware that someone is trying to access our computers. so i decide to go along also but did not open my computer. When i asked him his name, he did not answer, so i asked again, so when he did not tell me i  asked to talk to his supervisor and that is when i heard the dial tone. He hung up on me, and when you try to call  the number back it is not in service. Big time computer Hackers!

They just called my cell phone and asked if I would log into my computer and give them info.
Tempted to hand their number to the police...

I was sitting watching tv and poof I gets phone call from "Jim" with a very think Indian accent. This is the second time this has happened except my father in law answered the last call. This time I became as caniving as "Jim"... I told him I had a bad connection and needed his number just I case we were disconnected... Jim provided me with 649-281-3420...I wrote it down and let mr "Jim" continue...
Jim: I'm from the computer technical department at windows...
Me: oh okay how can I help u...
Jim: your computer has a major virus and is crashing....
Me: oh really I was just on my computer it was fine...
Jim: okay turn on your computer... Did it turn on?
Me: yep it's up and running... ( laughing internally)
Jim: oh really ok now you know the control button push it...
Me: oh okay...

At this point in time I got tired of listening to "Jim" telling me my computer is dead so I decided to say...

Jim at this point in time I do know that this is a scam as I have spoken with you before and... I am using a MAC computer.... Laughing very loud and I proceeded to tell him that he has given me his information and that if there are any further calls to this house I was reporting him to the police.... Mr. Jim was very silent... I laughed at him some more and then hung up the phone....

I have recently checked online and there is a Canadian anti- fraud centre online that has multiple reports dial of this incident and have info posted to report such issues.... http://www.antifraudcentre-centreantifraude.c ... eportfraud.html ...

Please help stop this as we cannot afford this as most of the Canadian population is trying to survive on little money as it is and scamming people like this is just wrong... People like this make me sick and should be punished... Please help stop these scammers... REPORT THEM.......

They r good guys...They have worked on my computer and its running fine....These guys r amazing peoples.....There were many problems in my computer but these guys solved those problems in 3 to 4 hours and now my computer is running fine....THANK YOU...............KEEP UP THE GOOD WOK........

This number is a scam , they tried several different occassions to get me to hand over details of my pc , now i just answer with Hello Garda siochana how can we help and they hang up ( Garda Siochana is our local law enforcement agency) , they have now ceased calling me , so be aware  THESE ARE SCAMMERS --- DO NOT ENTERTAIN THEM UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

call from 6472883898, guy named MARK JAMAL said he was calling from WINDOWS, (not mucrosoft, which was my first clue something was wrong) told me my computer was infected and at high risk and i should turn on my computer and he will tell me how to fix it. i told him i know enough NOT TO DO THAT as someone could be doing that in order to access info from my computer and that i wanted a phone number to call and verify it was legit. gave me this number from toronto. i asked him that since he was supposedly calling from microsoft, there should be a toll-free one. he laughed and said no ma''am. call back and ask for me. i said i would and then looked up the number online and found this site. i wonder how many poor people fell for this! how and who to can i report this scam?

Got a call all they said was BYE. Ppl should be reporting this to RCMP phone busters. If  they are reported more than 10 times they investigate. Lets stop these a$$holes.

Hey the excact same thing happened to me. It kind of sketched me out, weird.

I just got the same call. "John" calling for all the same reasons as above. I said VERY nicely "John can you please put me on your do not call list, he replied WHY!!?? I said just put me on it please, this was repeated 5-6 times then I ssaid you are trying to scam me and I am not that dumb", he told me to watch my tongue...lol
Then I hung up.

Same call as others reporting my computer had sent an error report.
Claims on line infection far more serious than a virus.
Said I would call back. Gave the number 1-647-288-3898, John Molson.
Call display showed 1-999-910-0221.
Claimed they were a Windows Authorized repair Center.
I indicated I would report them to the RCMP fraud squad.

Just got a call, same as above, I had a problem with my computer. I asked how he got my phone number and he told me I filled it out on a form I filled out when I bought my computer. I told him I don't have a computer and that they are evil. I don't believe people should use the interent. The only info he could give me, about  myself  was information listed in the phone book. I started yelling at him telling him I wanted to know how he got my phone number. Then I asked for a supervisor. I got someone who spoke a bit better he said his name was Jake and that they must have the wrong number, I kept yelling at him. I had a bit of fun with it. And obviously I do have a computer. lol
One said his name was Alex and the other was Jake. VERY BAD ENGLISH

Got the call too in Ottawa.  Said hello several times, short (1/4 second) of what sounded like feedback then  a recorded 'GOODBYE'.  I really think the telcos should figure out how to shut down this crap.  There should be a way that they can verify the telephone number on the caller id signal is legit before letting the call into the telephone system.  I get scammers calling my numbers several times a week and every caller id is obviously forged.  It is at the point that I cannot trust the caller id information unless I know the person who is calling me.

I just answered this call and no one was there, I waited a few minutes and the recorded message said goodbye, anyone know who it is?
