we keep getting calls from unavailable 1.  We have had up to 11 call one right after the other.

Received a call from999-910-0492 from a barely understandable woman, (probably East Indian or Pakistani) stating that Micro -softee Weendows servers were receiving many viruses form my IP address.  Told them to go P on their server and that would fix their problem.  I was not going to pay for any service from them, I didn't know who they were, and hung up on them.  

got a call from this number at 9:40 p.m. I told him it was a bad time and he said "no, this is urgent phone call, you get up and go to computer right now!" I hung up. NOT COOL!

We just got a call from this number as ID not available and when the answering machine came on am electronic voice said "Bye"

When the caller called from 999-910-0492 called at 1 am and then again at 2 am, and then again at 10 pm the next night.  He claimed he worked for Windows and my computer was going to crash within a few days.  My computer was sending them a signal that I have a critical virus and he was here to help me fix it.  I responded that I work for the largest company in the US in the MIS department.   I know this is a scam and I only let you go on so my company could track your actual phone number not the fake one showing up on my phone and report you to the FBI.    I was also not being truthful, just want them to stop calling.  The call took a strange turn.  He then started yelling at me and said go ahead and report me.  You can't this is real and hung up.

These jerks have called me four times in the last five days, sometimes as late as 10:10 PM.  I haven't answered yet, but I may have to do so once just to get them to stop calling.

Even though I haven't talked to them, it's clear who they are.  They're trying to scam naive computer users out of hundreds of dollars by scaring them into thinking that their computers have viruses.  Once you fall for the scam, they bill your credit card for a large sum.  It's possible that they also put malware on your computer, but I'm not sure about that.

For detailed information, Google the following terms: "Microsoft support scam" or "Teamviewer scam".

They may claim they're calling from Microsoft (they're not) or from Windows (whatever that means) or WIndows Technical Support.  They try to win your trust by asking you to do a few things on your computer, and telling you that the results of these things prove that your computer is infected.  (The results are completely innocent, but these con artists prey on people who know little about computers.)  Once they have your trust, they ask you to install software (Teamviewer or something similar) so they can remotely control your computer and "fix" your problem.

Many reputable sources -- Microsoft, the Better Business Bureau, etc. -- have issued warnings about this scam.

Bottom line: When they call and claim to be from Microsoft and say that your computer is full of viruses, tell them that they're a bunch of crooks and hang up.  Do not let them talk you into typing anything in your computer; in fact, you might just tell them that you don't own a computer.

I try to see how long I can get them to hold.

9:16 Missouri time and man was she pushy. I told no and never call again and hung up. They just don't give up and I sure as heck ain't letting them into my computer considering all computer scans say there is no virus' and such. The only thing you can do is hang up on them because they just don't stop talking and I even believe that to be rude to just hang up.

They are calling and leaving strange messages.  I think it must be spam.

Oh come on..........scold them????     I will never understand why people answer any of these calls from any of these crazy numbers.    Why?     Nobody know anyone with a number like this.......and I am talking about the numbers like 876-461-2799 or 680-000-0000.   You have no idea what they can do.  Sometimes just by being stupid enough to open a phone line, they can get in & get your personal information, etc.   Don't any of you watch 20/20 or Dateline NBC?    Do not pick up the phone unless you now the phone number.   God !!!!     If you don't pick up the phone & it is somebody you know or if it is important, they will either leave a message or call again.   Why take a chance?    Please people & seniors (sorry about that.  I didn't mean to imply that seniors are not people) do not pick up the phone unless you know the number.    Not yelling at you but concerned.

11:38pm in Missouri- Some woman with very broken English- called and said she was from the ITT dept. of Microsoft.

Have been getting nightly calls from unidentified source.  Tracked it back to 999-910-0492 but unable to get any more information.  Am on the nocalls list so puzzling.  Have told caller several times to stop calling before I hang up.  To no avail. Can you identify the source/person who is calling?

They called twice last night. Answered the 1st one at 10:05 pm since I did not have my glasses on and did not look at caller I'd at first.  I told them not to call again. They did call again at 11:32 pm. Did not answer again.  Very annoying.

just received another of these calls.  Told her I did not have a computer and if they called again they would be dealing with my lawyer.

Just received a call from this number. Male caller with middle eastern accent (possibly from India???) claimed to be with Microsoft Windows. He said they were receiving numerous error messages from our computer. I kaughed at him and hung up. Scammers!!

I received a call from this number today wanting to access my computer in order to clean viruses and spyware.  He had a heavy East Indian accent and claimed to be with Microsoft.  He asked me if I knew that I had problems which had been reported back to Microsoft directly from my computer and I said NO and that I would NOT let him access my computer anyway since I  did not know him from Adam and hung up.

I again get a phone call from this #. Got several a few months ago saying they were worried about my computer. Told them" yeah right" and hung up on them. I've had about 4 calls this week.  I answered the last one & she said her name was BARBIE!!! I couldn't even understand her. She started her rehearsed crap & I interrupted her. I told her to check the do not call list & stop f**king calling me. She told me to go F**k myself.  Stay away from these idiots.

called me at 9:39 pm and the rude woman stated that she was tech support and told me that I was downloading multiple viruses to my windows computer right now.  I told the woman that I was not downloading viruses to my WINDOWS computer.  The rude woman argued with me and said yes you are I can see that your downloading them now.  Well my issue with this is I only own MACs.  I told her I don't own a windows computer and she hung up on me.

Called my cell phone at 11:26pm!!!! Very unhappy, I knew it was a scam of some sort as soon as I saw the 999. Didn't answer.

Got the call last night.

I may bluff and say "I don't have a computer". lol

These types of people don't care.

Just got this call. Left a blank voicemail. Ignored.

I've received calls from this number the last 2 nights at 9:30 PM.  Didn't answer and they didn't leave message.....but I want the calls to stop.  I thought companies couldn't call after 9:00 pm.

Called at 10:30 P.M. Didn't answer. Second time they've called at this late hour.

Rude woman just called, barely speaking English. Stated a problem with my computer...you do have a computer right? I demanded to know where she was calling from (obviously India) and she said "New Jersey". When I explained that she was lying because it was 1:30 am in New Jersey and that she had woken me up. She said "I know maam BUT". then says "OOPS' and hangs up.

I just recived a call from this number and he said he was from Microsoft Windows and ask me if I new I had a
viris I didn't have a computer , he told me I had a lab top , I told him I did not , then he hung up .

I got a call from this number and as soon as he said he was from Microsoft I told him that I was not that stupid and that this is a scam and that he is an a**hole and hung up
