I received a call from 105 5123123 sounded like an Asian person stating he worked for North American Technical Department that monitors computers. He said they detected virusus on my computer that was slowing my computer. He wanted his technical department to check my computer and show me what they found by having me enter SUPPORT.ME in my browser. Turns out he wanted to sell an antivirus software package. I told him I had to leave for an appointment and would call him back tomorrow. He gave me 510 374-4990 to call tomorrow. That number belongs to someone in Richmond, California. I ended the call.

DO NOT turn on your computer like he insist that you do .      SCAM SCAM

I also received a call from a man with a heavy accecnt telling me that my computer had a virus and that he would idenify the virus then send me to tech support to have it removed.  I like a dummy listened to him and clicked on my compter and manage when the pop up box came up I clicked no the phone hung up.    I have McAfee  so i ran a scan and all seems ok   but I sure feel like a dummy for fallling for this.  He even knew my address to my home.    This really upset me that they have scam bags like this.

Also, a man with an indian accent telling me I have a problem with my computer.. he repeat 3 times "this is about your computer" .. I identified the scam and hung up.. this is crazy!!

SCAM SCAM SCAM

I received a call from a man with an Indian accent that told me that he was from "Technical Support". He told me that my computer was infected and that he could "help" me fix it. I immediately asked him how he could sleep at night knowing that he spent his day scamming people. He told me that he was not a scammer and asked me if a scammer would be calling to try and help me with my computer infection. I said that it was a well known scam and that he was definately a scammer. He got irritated and said that he thought that I was a scammer. I replied with "you called me" and he hung up the phone. Don't ever fall for a scam like this.

Just received a call from a man with a thick Indian accent, who asked for me by name, saying that he was from some "Technical Service" claiming that my computer was infected with malware up to 86% and would stop functioning at 100%. I asked "who are you?" he did not give a name, but continued saying he was from "Technical Service" and if I could talk for 15 to 20 minutes. Sensing that this was some kind of scam, I said "I don't know you, I haven't called for any technical assistance on my computer and I will not talk to you" and hung up. I can't imagine how they may have gotten my name, but I urge others not to give in to these kinds of tricksters.

Just got a call today from a guy with an Indian accent telling me his name is Chris..... And that he is from "masmell pc solutions" calling about my computer. Nope, never ever heard of it. Hung up before he could try to scam any further.

I received a call from a man saying that I had downloaded a virus, and he was going to help me get rid of it.  I told him that I didn 't need his help and hung up.

Got a call from this guy tonight. He called himself Peter from Windows in California. He told me that I had downloaded a virus from Google.  I asked him when did I do this. He tells me to go to my computer and he will tell me. This sounds like a scam to me so I called him out. I asked him if he thought that I was going to fall for that and I told him I was aware that he was attempting to scam me. He then began to curse me with some nasty words.  He also had a thick accent, maybe Asian Indian. He got even more upset when I told him that I was having some difficulty understanding him. I ended up hanging up. So far, he has not called back.
