Mine are coming from 111-019-1014....same horse...different color! Very annoying...8 calls in last hour (supper hour). Finally angry enough to pick up...nothing there no automated machine or person!! What the h***!

For the past couple of months I too have gotten calls from 111-019-1013 regarding a windows problem.  I too, cannot understand him and have asked several times not to be call and that I would record and report his calls.

Finally saw a number they have been continually calling back to back times .Usually no one is there  but today someone with heavy indian accent was so I told them we are on the do not call list .They are annoying

this is not a valid area code. Moreover, the number looks phoney. On another site...the complaint was that this number is being used for the good ole computer scam that is being perpetrated across north america by brainless, near illiterate people posing as people trying to help (e.g. microsoft employees).

They tell you that you have a computer virus and people with little comprehension of how the computer works fall for it. They give over control of the computer and then give their credit card numbers to the criminal in the belief that he is going to help them. One police report on this scam says that it has been very successful (over 80% successful on the calls....I know it's hard to believe there are so many gullible people out there). I think it means that if they actually engage people in a conversation, then they will be successful. Most of us don't let it get that far.

This criminal organization is using many, many different phone numbers (numbers are being spoofed). I'd give almost anything to get my hands on a few of them for even just a few minutes.

I just had a call on my landline from 111 019 1013. My display showed unavailable. I usually don't answer calls of this kind. He wanted to help me with my computer. I hung up.
I then lifted my receiver several times and I managed to get the full number.
How did they get my phone number in the first place?

Am trying a new approach to getting rid of these vermin. And it does seem to work, at least until some new criminal randomly dials my number. When this call came in this morning, I had time to check this site before they hang up (I had a pretty good idea after all...an area code of 111 -  yeah, really!). I picked up the phone and screamed obscenities that would make a sailor blush. They hung up. Last time I did this, I had nary a scammer call me for a month - what peace!
Why does that seem to work? I think we are too polite and scammers interpret politeness as meaning they can manipulate us into giving the info they want. So they keep calling back.

first time for this number being on my phone, did not answer as thought scam or not valid number

Same clown called using the company name of B4HELP about 2 weeks ago. Same person called today, different company name. I contacted Microsoft and they said that Microsoft does not use 3rd party companies to solve issues with window. Also do not give them access to your computer..

I want these calls to stop they are getting out of control. they call all hours of the night and i have threaten with calling the authorities but they stop for a week and start all over again. I have no problem with my windows program.

a new number for an old scam?  Someone with a heavy accent called and tried to get me to put my husband on saying thier was a problem with our "windows" program.  I used to get these calls from an 866 number.

I received this phone call Oct. 19/11, asking for personal financial information, said problems with my computer, said he would call back in a month, I want these calls to stop!!!!

Yes - it's a scam.
Someone asking if i was the owner of the Windows.  they want you to download something - couldn't really understand what he was asking for.
