I've just received a call on my mobile from 173 329 5050. A woman with a very strong indian accent whether I enjoy Goldsheild products!? After stating I had no idea what she was talking about she asked "do u not take cod liver oil?" no I don't! She then questioned my health and on hearing that it is very good she hung up! I've never bought vitamins from goldsheild, how have they got my details and mobile number!!?

We just received another phone call from Goldshield.  The man on the phone gave his name
as Allan Smith.  That  sounded phony.  He said he was from my husband's Vitamin company.
I told him my husband does NOT want anything to do with his company, either by phone or by
mail and to STOP harrassing us.  The number on display was 173-329-5050 and I asked him
if the company was Goldshield.  He said yes.  I told him again that they were to STOP harrassing
us.

What is the name of this company with the phone number 173 329 5050?

Received a call from this number today.  Could'nt understand the woman because I have a hearing loss  especially with female voices on the phone.  Who are they and where is area code 173?

Just received 2 calls from this phone #.  First one answering machine - no message.   Phone
rang again.  Sounded like someone from India, gave his name as Allan Smith.    He couldn't come up with a better "lie" than that.  Very scratchy line, kept
breaking up, could hardly hear what he was saying.   Asked for my
husband by name.  Claimed he was from my  husband's  "Vitamin Company".    This person has
calls us repeatedly.  Does no good to tell him that we Don't want him harrassing us.   The Do Not
Call List is supposed to fix this.  Phone Busters are getting paid to Stop these people.  People need
go to the authorites so they can tell the CEO to back off or just Shut them down.

3 calls from this number in as many minutes. As I work from home and cannot be disturbed I deem this a nuisance call. I intend to log this and other similar numbers from now on. We tend not to answer so do not know which "company" they are purporting to be.

These telemarketers keep calling for my father on my cell phone. They won't leave a message and they call up to 20x per day. They claim they're calling from "Vitamin Laboratories." They sound like they're from India.

Every time they call, they use a different number; each phone number is missing a digit. My phone company says they can't stop them from calling. All we can do is change our number.

Has anyone heard of this outfit?

Said that it was a hair product company, asking questions that made me nervous.

We get this message from 173-329-5050 fairly frequently--asking about vitamins.  She always has a heavy accent and is named Tina.  She gave me a false location and false 888 callback number today.  I am set on reporting her and blocking the number.  This harrassment needs to stop.

Didn't answer the call received 11.47 9th Feb 2011 - i believe unwise to answer calls from unrecognised numbers, particularly international. Let it ring and there was no message left on VM. I have had my mobile number for many years but only recently started receiving unsolicited international calls.

This company will not take no for an answer!  I have asked them repeatedly to never all again, and to put me on their do not call list.  I have also said I am registered on Indiana's do not call list, and she said that doesn't apply from where she calls from.  They are selling vitamins.  They ask for me by name.  They pretend to be a friend.  They are scum!  Caller ID says unknown, but they are Gold Shield.  Very heavy accents, probably from a British Colony.  Area code 173 does not exist.

Disposal of certain Indian business and assets

To enable the business to focus both management time and the full resources of
Goldshield on its Pharmaceutical and Healthcare businesses, it has been decided
that the Company will dispose of certain of the non-core Indian businesses and
also to outsource the development of the Wellbeing Healthcare villages and
resort in Goa. The sites identified by the Company will be retained pending
receipt of the planning approvals at which time they will be co-developed.

Ajit Patel has expressed an interest in acquiring these non-core assets and has
entered into a heads of agreement with Goldshield, summary details of which are
set out below.

Ajit Patel, or a company controlled by him, will purchase the entire issued
share capital of Goldshield Business Solutions Private Limited (GBSPL), an
Indian incorporated wholly owned subsidiary of Goldshield for a consideration of

INR 110 million (approximately £1.4 million). The consideration will be payable
in cash on completion and will be applied to general corporate purposes. GBSPL
will be required by 28th February, 2008 to change its name to Sanda Business
Solutions and the Goldshield name will revert to the Company.

The gross assets of GBSPL are £1.1 million and the profits attributable to the
division of GBSPL after the apportionment of Group overheads for the year to
31st March 2007 were £0.2 million.

In addition to the sale of GBSPL, Goldshield and GBSPL have entered into an
agreement whereby GBSPL will agree to occupy at least 110 seats at Goldshield's
call centre at Akruti, Mumbai and Goldshield will occupy an equivalent number of
seats at GBSPL's call centre at Verna, Goa. Each company will pay the same cost
per seat to the other and the agreement will stay in force for a minimum of 18
months and is subject to a minimum of a six months' notice of termination. The
purpose of this arrangement is primarily to avoid the need for substantial
relocations of staff.

Goldshield believes that whilst the Indian Wellbeing Villages and resort no
longer form part of the core strategy of the Company, they still have some long
term potential. The Company has decided that it does not wish to allocate
further significant funds to develop these assets. However, it does wish to
retain its existing interests which will be realised when the Directors believe
that shareholder value has been maximised. As part of this strategy, the Company
has also agreed in principle to use its reasonable endeavours to enter into a
joint venture with Ajit Patel to develop care villages on the Guirdolim and
Camurlin sites in Goa, or, if the Board decides to sell these sites, a right of
first refusal for Ajit Patel to acquire them at market value.

Finally, as part of the above arrangements, Ajit Patel, who owns 3.3 million
ordinary shares in the Company, has agreed for a period of one year not to sell
80 per cent. of his current holding and to only sell the remaining 20 per cent.
through the Company's brokers under an orderly market arrangement.

You bought poison from scammers and you are worried about phone calls???

This company, Gold Shield Direct, was selling us small quantities of a supplement.  One day they called while I was in the middle of something else, but they had this fantastic offer, and I bought $600 worth (a year's supply at their recommended dose).  When it came it was not even the product we had previously bought, and they absolutely would not take it back.  That was three years ago.  They still call regularly acting very friendly, even though I have asked them to never call again many times.  They are from out of the country (India???); so they don't have to consider our do not call lists.  How can I get them to stop?

Got a call today at 3:03 pm from this number. I didn't pick up the telephone. It rang three times and the caller did not leave a message.

Our State Police said these numbers are from South Africa.  It is such a problem that they have a unit set up just to investigate but these scammers are so good that they are evading everything to catch them.  They have a long list of people who have fallen prey to these people and have lost thousands of dollars.  I know because of two young men who were convinced they were desperately in love with a woman they met from one of these calls.  They were stopped before they lost a lot of money but one rented a large apartment because the girl kept saying she was coming over to move in with him and they would be married.  When he called her, everytime he would get a text saying her husband (who she was separated from was there visiting their daughter) and that she would call back in a few minutes.  The State Police said it was actually a man and he needed time to get one of his "girls" to make the call and play the part.  The scammers are a very big problem.  Some send money and ask people to send a Western Union moneygram to someone else for them.  After the check  or MO is deposited and the person sends their own money, a few days later they learn the check would not clear the bank and their money and the person who sent it is long gone. Report those numbers and reject them.

what kind of area code is this?  The male Indian wanted to speak to my husband about health feedback in the state of Missouri.  It doesn't even make sense...unless, of course, it WAS a sales call.  Where on earth is area code 173!

This number has been calling my home FAX line every 30 minutes for the past few hours.  Judging from the other comments here regarding this number, it is probably related to a health supplements company, such as Gold Shield Direct.  My elderly father got calls from them all the time, and he bought a lot of pills from them.  Then they tracked me down and started calling me, since I have a similar name.

I like one of their supplements (for joints), but this company takes advantage of the elderly - they try to "buddy up" with a person, treat them like a friend, then sell them far more merchandise than they need.  If you answer the call, tell them to take you off the list.  That is good for a few months of silence until they start calling again.

Caller asked for my father and said she was calling from India and wished him a Happy Valentines day. ??? Today is february 19th.

Received call today at 3:16pm on my answering machine from this number and they didn't leave a message.  Shows a unknown name so I will not answer any calls with unknown name or number on my phone.
