180-018-1001 has called the last couple of nights late, after 10PM, with no answer on their end. I have been in bed with the flu and not feeling the greatest to be waken up by these %^%$#@&**^%(*&* brainless idiots. They should feel graitfull there was no answer on thier end or I would have screwed with them to the limit. Have done this before, 15 to 20 min. at a time, it feels great, that if you have time to screw with these mindless morons. Haven't had any calls back when I have screw with them.
Reporting to the FTC or any other government agency is a waste of time, they just don't either have the staff to follow up on complaints or they just don't care. I have made so many complaints in the past and requested a follow up and have never received one. That's the government for you.

All you can do is report the number..  The scam is well known (many threads under different numbers here with this computer tech scam) and the numbers are mostly spoofed..  and the 180 is a invalid code.  In short, no area code is in use and doesn't exist.  

It is a scam, there is now way these people can tell what is going on with your computer let alone anyone elses.

have received multiple calls from this number tonight starting about 3-4 hours ago. they have called 4 times total.

the first call i answered. a lady with what sounded like an asian accent said "sir i'm calling about your computer" i asked what? and she repeated herself. i said i think you have the wrong number. she then said "so  you do not have a desktop or laptop?" i said she had the wrong number then hung up. the next phone call i let go to voicemail and no msg was left. the next 2 when i answered i would hear nothing, except the last one gave a busy signal.

very annoying especially now its past 11 pm where im at. I'm in washington state. is there anyway to track where this number came from so can report it?

I, too, get phone calls nightly from this number.  No one is ever on the other end of the line and I have quit answering them at all.

They keep calling late in evening.  4x a night.  This evening it was that they were from the technical department of windows and I cut him off.  his name was brian and he was calling with a very broken accent that was very hard to follow.I cut him off and told me to remove me from the calling list.  line went dead.  next time he may be genuinely surprised to find out I work at Microsoft and i'll turn it over to our legal department.  good times.

These people have called several times.  They say they are from Microsoft and then they tell you that they see that you have a virus or something wrong with your computer.  They want you to turn on your computer and they will fix the problem.  I did not trust them so I said no.  Sounded like they were calling from some other country.  This time when they called and they said they were from Microsoft, I told them I had no computer and they asked if I had a laptop and I said no and they just hung up.

We keep getting phone calls from this number, 7 phone calls in the last week! They keep telling me that my internet is causing all of my computers to downloand viruses! I keep telling them that I don't want them to call, but they keep doing it! They always hang up on me, this last time they called I told them they were harassing me and they hung up on me again, who knows if they will call again... hopefully not!

My brother jesse and I are at work discussing lunch plans and we get a call I put on speaker, due to the fact I couldn't understand his middle eastern accent and all the background noise on his end,he said he needed  to rent a car. He kept asking what do we do,he was very persistant I finally got it through to him we tow cars not rent them he said well I have a M-18 jaguar in saltlake needs picked up I said sir we don't service that area but i can refer you, he said well what do you have a business for if you can't f****ng do anything. I said excuse me sir so he repeated and I said sir thank you I am gonna get off the phone now and hung up.

180-018-1001, just called our company phone asking about rental cars. Since we don't rent cars we gave them the name of our partners that rent cars. When we told him all we do is tows, he finally said he needed a tow. He reported he was in Salt Lake City, which is out of our jurisdiction.  When he found that out he asked "Why open a business if we can't f*in help him?" We told him politely to have a good day and hung up.

Received three calls from this number. All showed with a 777 prefix on my Verizon iPhone. Finally answered and was greeted by a fast talking "gentleman", speaking broken English with, what seemed to be, an Asian accent. He belted out some pitch, but I could only comprehend several buzz words such as "computer", "virus", "infection", and "checkup". I replied, "I didn't understand a word that you just said." He slowed down and his retort was, "I am calling to tell you to f@&k off," and immediately hung up.

Two calls late last night, no one talks on the other end.  After waiting a minute or so an automated female voice said "thank you".  If this is and invalid area code how do these calls get through the system and where do they come from?

Received 2 calls from this number today. One around 9pm and one a few minutes ago just before 10:30. Picked up the phone and the dialer hung up. Extremely creepy if you ask me.

The number 180-018-1001 was on my telephone ID without a message.  The call was made to my telephone number late at night.

Recieved this call the past two nights both after 10 p.m.

Got two calls in the past two days. Answered the second-no one to talk to.
