Just called, its a company offering you  a "discount" on your Orange and Rockland Electric bill. Orange and Rockland says they know nothing about it

I keep getting daily calls from this #. Does anyone know who it is? How to stop them?!?!

Got a call from 201-215-2822 showed up as V10910515400079  ...when I answered it was guy with loud noises in the background. I hung up as I could barely hear him.

I received a call from this # today. They hung up before the machine could answer the call.

I called the number above, using Google Voice, to mask my true number, and it asked me to enter an extension number of a person if I knew of it, or hit zero should I want to speak to a customer representative. The automated message advised that they were open from 10AM until 9PM, I believe. I hit zero to have my name removed and waited for over 5-minutes, at which point I gave up, despite being coaxed by the automated system that I was the next to be serviced. (I wasn't interested in wasting cellular minutes for what seemed to be, at onset, a deceptive manipulation method of having callers waiting for a person who would never answer in person.) If someone with some time and patience could try the number above, and post it here it might be useful. I have neither, so simply registered myself to the DoNotCall.gov registry (for now).

After picking up the phone, there was about a 2 minute silence, with no response, followed by a computerized voice that said "Bye bye." We have had at least 10 calls from this number these past few days and according to reverse look-up the number seems to be a land line based in Bayonne, NJ.

Today (10/28/2011) I just confirmed registration of my home and cell phone numbers to the DoNotCall.gov registry, indicated below, so we'll see whether this has any effect.

If there is no effect, I will submit an official complaint to either the FCC or DoNotCall.gov, though I do not know which, and what circumstances are necessary in order to file.
