Called twice in a row, but only let it ring for a second each time (long before voicemail would pick up). I searched through my email, and I see that I've received a couple lame recruiting e-mails from these guys over the last few months.

I got a call from this number.  I would say hello and get an almost "echoed" hello - as if the phone was echoing back, but not in my voice.  My numbers are ALL on the DO NOT CALL registry!  I have to wonder what the use of it is if we still get these SPAM/SCAM calls!

Just got a call from this place.. saying they found my resume on Monster / Dice and were wanting to see if I would be interested in any jobs in San Francisco, CA .. LOL

I said no .. than he kept talking, so had to hang up.

For those reading this list, I think Monster has sold out their resume database to some unsavory companies. Many of these are (apparently) in New Jersey, Texas and other Indian-recruiter hot beds. I have researched the 50x companies that have called or emailed me and actually all appear to be legitimate (or barely so) and even in the US. However, I am very concerned about this data floating around and have for myself decided to cancel everything with Monster and then assume every kind of call/email I get around this to be potential fishing for identity-theft (because I honestly cannot tell if they are really IT recruiters and IF they are, frankly I don't want to do business with such clearly unprofessional, sloppy individuals).

A man with a heavy Indian accent called me yesterday in the car on my cellphone and I could only understand when he said "PHP Developer".

I received a call from this number at our transcription company.  He said his name was Mike Jones and he was with CAT Healthcare in New Jersey.  Very thick accent and pronounced each word very carefully.  Wanted to talk to the office manager. When I told him I was the OM, he said he wanted to talk to me about providing transcription for 5 cents/line.  I told him we were NOT INTERESTED.

hmmm....this explains why i have been getting calls lately from people i can't even understand.  i keep telling them to speak english!!!

I have a suspicion these people are submitting resumes without permission that they find online, possibly as 'ringers' where some minimum number of American citizens resumes are required before they can bring in their own people on H1B visas.

IT Recruiter, asked them to remove me from their call list, they didn't.

This call is from CAT technologies. They usually call for IT recruitements.. They don't have any direct clients and just waste our time and minutes. This chap hardly speak english.. Avoid !!

Agreed. Avoid this call - the guy has no jobs, he's just paid to collect resumes for someone else's database.

This is a clear scam.  Caller had such a thick accent that I had him repeat everything 3 times.  Then I get an email shown below.   I'm not sure of the purpose of representing "Josh Carlos as my A/c manager".   Anyway, the "job description" was generic text off some website, I'm sure.

Got phone call this morning on cell phone from this number.  I was busy talking on other phone so didn't answer, they didn't bother to leave a message.

The number is owned by CAT Technologies, Inc., but this is the "general number" used by all of the Indians via Skype or some such thing.  They never check or empty the mailbox.  They also never bother to leave a message since it's almost impossible to call back the same person who called you.

This company mines all of the resumes posted on DICE and Corp-Corp for contact information.  Don't expect a great billing rate, or even an "able to eat and live indoors" billing rate from this company.  The bulk of the company is in India, which should tell you all you need to know.

Got a call from this number on my home voicemail from a man with an accent so thick I couldn't understand his name. What was weird was he said it was about a job interview. One, he called my home number, and I only have my cell phone listed on my resume that's posted on the job sites. Two, I have never spoken with him before, so how could it be about a job interview? Their website, cattechnologies.com, is crap.

I'm in IT, and they appear to be some kind of IT outsourcing company, but I don't know why they would search for my home number. Also, when you call, you get a very strange phone system.

I got a call from this number asking about Medical Transcription outsourcing. I am a transcriptionist but would have nothing to "outsource" as I am not a company, but rather an employee. Just found it odd and asked where they had gotten my phone number to which he replied "From Goggle." I have searched everything I can think of related to me and my profession and come up with nothing linked to me. Just very odd and makes me wonder what other information there is floating around about me.

I got the call as well, thought it was a scam, a person with a very thick accent spoke about IT positions.

I get these calls and e-mails (about IT Project Mngt positions) all the time!  It's like recruiter SPAM.  I did speak with one one time and could NOT understand 2/3 of the words they were saying - I finally hung up.

Very hard to understand the guy but he said he worked for Technologists which he said was a recruiting cvompany about the job i applied for.  i didnt apply for a job but am on Monster.
