Got calls from this number and many other pointless scam or telemarketing b***s***tery.  I finally got fed up with it and decided to get a call blocker.  I would highly recommend this product for all of you -- no more do I have to hear 4-7 bs calls a day.

www.hqtelecom.com. --  T-Lock call blocker V2

That beast can blacklist up to 1500 phone numbers, whole area codes and callers which do not reveal caller information to your caller ID.     You need to have caller I'd service provided to you through your telephone company for that, or any blocker that doesn't just block all calls except those you program for it to let through.

This caller is driving me crazy. The phone rings every mealtime. I quit what ever I am doing and answer it... there is no one on the other end. I call the number back and get a busy signal. This number is 201-338-6162  it is associated with 201-338-6210
I put a block on it on my Tracfone and it did not help. Please someone block this number.

Where do I begin.  They say my computer is being hacked - I told them I didn't have a computer - he then said well then its your laptop again I said I don't have a computer... then he gave me my address and name (SCARY) he continued to argue with me saying he knows I have a computer.  I told him he was a fraud and I was reporting him- He said no that he is going to report me for saying he was a fraud- I then repeatedly said "please stop calling me, I want my number removed from your call list" he said no and the call is being recorded so I repeated it over and over again and asked if they were still recording- Then.. he goes on to say he is going to call me 200 times in one day!  Grrrrrrrr I called the number back and asked to speak with a manager who assured me this wouldn't happen again, unfortunately he didn't have my info and said he would be in touch with me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't know who it is, but they say they are from Microsoft and want to help rid your computer of a virus--to make a long story short, cut them off, told them not to call back.  They did. I didn't pick up but collected number, time, and reported to them to the FTC.

Definitely a scam. They said they had received error reports from my Windows machine - I have a Macbook!  They transferred me to someone who wanted me to type in an URL in my browser, as he said he was going to remove malware.  This is when I hung up.  Everyone had heavily accented voices; sounded like a boiler room.

From previous posts it looks like its the windows computer scammers. They do cross the line! This is not the first time I've seen vulgar words being tossed at the recipients of such calls.  These calls are more often then not, coming from India.

Consider buying a call blocking device or phone. Devices will hold way more numbers then phones do.
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=call+blockers

You should also file a complaint with your phone service provider. Also, do not answer numbers you do not recognize and teach this to your daughter as well.  This way you are not subjected to such vulgarity's ...

For about a year now I've been getting calls from this number.  They are rude and outright stupid.  I've reported them to the Local PD along with phone company.  My number isn't listed and the only calls I get is from them.  If you try to tell them they are full of it they make stupid remarks like "Glad this is annoying for you trust us we will call you 20times a day at all hours off the night because your an idiot" and then they hang up.  Last time I got this threat they called me for three straight days and would mention the previous calls.  To me this is harassment and someone needs to pay for it.

Indian accented "Jake" telling me they had received error reports from my computer at their "Global Technical Service Center" that my computer had been hacked. I knew this was a scam but played along to see what they were trying to get from me. He and technical supervisor "Dave" wanted to walk me through some "tests" and then if they discovered vulnerabilities they would sell me a "One Time Lifetime Fee" for technical support, but they couldn't tell me what this cost was until after diagnosis. Had me open the Run prompt and go into the Event Viewer and told me that all the thousands of Administrative Events and Windows Logs Events and Errors were evidence of my being hacked which could slowly lead to my system being taken over. Also had me run Certificate Manager and showed me my Trusted Root Certificate Authority --> Microsoft Authenticode Root Authority was expired (in 1999) and how this was how the hackers were gaining access to my system. As if!  After about 20 minutes of this foolishness I hung up, and didn't find out their ultimate aim - probably to install something on my computer so they could hack my computer.

These guys are calling a phone at the home of a developmentally disabled individual.  I am a temporary caregiver for this individual who has intercepted 5 of these calls.  They have given me the line about how they have diagnosed a problem with the home computer in the house.  This house is an assisted living situation funded by the state and does not have or never will have a computer.  I have tried to explain this to these people and have asked them each time to take the number off of their call list.  Yesterday I entered into a heated discussion with the caller and asked for his supervisor.  He would not connect me with a supervisor and I told him I was going to turn the number in to law enforcement and file a complaint.  He turned really ugly with me then.  I wish I could have personally got my hands on the guy.

This scammer is not only targeting one specific area, but many and their annoying as heck.  This same idiot has called me over 4 times in a day back a few years ago. I just did not answer the phone when he called. I had not heard of him anymore until yesterday, when about 10:39 pm, he got me up out of a dead sleep!  I was sort of groggy but I immediately recognized his voice. Without thinking to ask what he wanted, I told him, "Go to hell."  He immediately responded, "You too, and thank you." & click he hung up.  The following morning, again he woke me up before the sun came up and after the fourth ring, I decided to answer but he had hung up before I could say hello.  A real jokester. Some people never grow up or mature.  Advice:  mark the number in your phone as a scam artist & don't answer the call. He is not worth the time of day to get upset over his stupidity, & that's exactly what plan to do. Good Luck All!

I received a call from 201-338-6210 from a man with a heavy accent and claiming he was from Microsoft.  He said my internet ip address was hacked and he wanted me to give him access to my computer so he could fix it.  I am an engineer with a strong computer background and asked him a few questions about how access to my computer could fix the problem.  He said something about my computer setting off blinking lights on his status board and only he could fix it.  Total SCAM!!  With access to my computer he could have done a lot of damage.

I have received at least 6 calls from this  number and each time I advise the caller to not call again.   They do not understand.  So now I am not taking the call.   Why can't the Government stop these calls?   I am on the do not call list.
What a waste of my time.

This number has been calling my house multiple times and I finally answered. They told me they were from windows and that my computer was sending messages. I knew about this before because my grandma fell for it and they took 4 hundred dollars from her and put a virus on her computer. When I answered this time I said this is a scam, no thank you and the guy yelled at me saying that I had no authority to call this a scam. He repeated that over and over until I replied, oh yes it is, and then he hung up. We are on the no call list as well. These people need to be found before they rip  off someone else.
