I can attest that the Jeffrey Hirsch whose contact info is listed above is NOT the spammer.  I spoke with him, and he was horrified to learn that he was listed as being a spam faxer here.  This gentleman is completely innocent.

IT IS MET LIFE. CALL THEM AT1-212-578-2211. ASK FOR THE LEGAL DAPARTMENT. THEY WILL ASK YOU TO FAX THE FAX TO 1-212-578-2916. THIS WILL STOP THE FAES I BELIEVE.

Many mornings at 0430, we receive an unwanted call from this number. However, on caller id, it comes up as private-private. Only through their unwanted solicitation, does this fax number come available. And when it is responded to, in effort to cease and desist with the nuisance calls, the fax does not go through.

Please assist to stop this abuse of the telephone lines.

These jerks faxed me at 5:30 Am . time to PROSECUTE! Anyone tell me who to contact to do this?

I take 3-6 sheets of paper, write on each one "STOP SENDING ME FAXES" and I tape them all together and feed it into the fax machine and dial their fax number. Once it starts to take the first page, I let it feed out of the fax machine and then tape it together in a big loop and it will continue to send fax signals until their fax machine runs out of paper, ink or if it's a PC, the hard drive fills up. Do this 2 or 3 times and they will remove you from the list!

Gotta think out of the box!  :-)

This is a life insurance company that sends unwanted faxes to those of us who are listed on the do not call list.  You cannot get through on their  fax removal number.  Please investigate and charge them with multiple violations.

i get 1-2 faxes a week from these ppl.  i have also faxed my request for removal 8 times to no avail.  so irritating. wasting my ink and paper!!!

This is not from MET LIFE or any other legit business.  It is an auto dialer.  As with most fax machines, you can enter any header info you want.  The remove number at the bottom only confirms the fax is active.  Best to keep copies of the faxes you receive.  If possible, wright instructions to no longer call youand fax it to the "FAX FORM TO" number provided.  If you can get a confirmation of your reply, do that also.  Once you have done this more than once, send all the documentation to the FCC.  I have done this before and the company was fined $11,000 for each call.  Since I had multiple fax lines at the time, I believe  the totals fines amounted to over $100k.

I have been getting these faxes for YEARS! I tried to get them to stop but no luck! I finally did some investigating and it took me to Allstate Insurance. I contacted Allstate who assured me it was not them but a scam. Of course I expected them to tell me that...what else would they say? Bottom line, I  THINK these faxes are sent to get leads and sold to insurance brokers. That is probably why some of you have found Metlife also to blame.

I wonder if I should fill out the form with a phone number for a "throw away" AT&T phone I keep for visitors?  Then fax it from Kinko and use an address so that I know when I get a call to a phone I do not normally use that it is those buggers. Then play along like I am willing to sign up and get some contact information.

ive gotten at least 30 calls from this fax number. i have sent back via fax to be removed from this list. that fax # is 206-350-3403. this is called harassment and there is no way to speak to a live person.

Enough already...again reporting this number to the government "do not call List" is obviously a waste of my time and out tax dollars. The latest fax wants to offer me a deal on residential and commercial loans. Obviously, the owner(s) of this number has expanded from insurance and into to mortgage market. If anyone in Washington DC and the FCC would like to follow up on my request to stop these clowns, feel free to...oh forgot, you're on the "Getting ready for 4th of July" mode.

good luck on that- i also have faxed several requests (7 actually) and have logged them all and keeping track of the date and time, but i still get faxes, wasting my ink- looking into filing a formal complaint.

I just e-mailed a tip to a newspaper--the Bergen County Record. Apparently we have someone in that county to thank for this activity. Hopefully it will interest a reporter. I linked to this page.

I tried to fill out the FCC complaint form. As soon as I tried to attach a copy of the fax electronically, it cleared the form and went back to the starting page of the form. So I called the FAA consumer center just now. They tried to enter a complaint over the phone, but their computer also would not take the complaint. So the lady there was going to look into it and asked that I fax the health insurance form to the FCC, which I did. Apparently this is not MetLife, but a single phone number that does offer real estate, health insurance, and other products. One of you mentioned an email where you could opt out. The FCC lady said that is a fake email. She has taken complaints before on the real estate portion of this phone number's business. I read most of the complaints on this page to the FCC lady. She isn't allowed to Google this page from her FCC computer.

I get faxes daily.  If I can or fax to unsubscribe they send a notice from another phone number that is from the 206 area code.  I will never purhcase insurance from a fax ad for my company.

I continually rec'v faxes to my home and my work! It's completely annoying and costing me money in long distance fax bills along with ink and paper! I've saved each copy and are now logging exactly what times and dates they come in. I've placed them on the "do not call" list. Unfortunately, they apparently change their tel#s quite often and perhaps that's how they're getting around the www.donotcall.gov requirements for advertisements. I just received the third one within 3 days and the last one rec'd today is advertising "national commercial lending"....but has the same fax removal #. This has been going on for over a year now and I know I'd have more faxes but I've left  HMMMMM.....faxing a stack of paper sounds pretty good by now.....but what should the content be?

Another complaint - can't remember how many times I've tried to remove my number.
