I was called 3 times today from an "out of area" number within an hour.  I talked to a guy who gave his name as Jeremy and the number 201-616-0007 if I wanted to call back, after I told him he could be a scammer.  Said the name of the company was PC Care Hot Line.  Asked me about using a window based computer and how it had been compromised by my ID had been unlocked.  Told him I had not unlocked my ID.  He wanted my to bring up the windows open box and type something in it.  I refused and told him, I would call him back, which I never did.  I do this this was a scammer.  I'm waiting to see if he has the guts to call back.

I got a similar call from person called Phill on 6/12/13- from number 201-616-0007. I asked him to be online so I can connect him with my IT department and Legal person since it's an security issue- he immediately hung up-what a jerk.. :)

Has been calling he house and has goen on my laptop saying it was unsecure. Very annoying person.

I was called today by a person that displayed the callback number 0 on my phine. He said my information was being leaked all over the internet, and directed me to puss several sets of keys on my computer so he could fix it from his end. He changed a lot of programs on my computer. DDisconnected Norton and MacAffe and told me to never let Comcast do anything on my computer. I esigned a contract and had to pay him $119.99. /The call back phone number

My wife received a call from the same # saying our computer was sending out secure information. When she told them she would have her husband call them they said they would cal back in  1 hour. When I called they said it was a PC security company. When I began to ask more questions the guy hung up. This is clearly a scam.

I'm posting since this just happened to my mother in Texas. This time a woman called and said she was affiliated with Apple PC Security and she was calling because my mom's computer was giving out her personal information. She was trying to walk my mother through the procedure to give her remote access to the computer. Luckily my mother was very suspicious and asked to call back. This was the number my mother was given and told that she would speak with someone named John Schiffer when she called back. Definitely a scam. I hope no one is falling for this. Very dangerous to hand over control of your computer to someone you do not know who will have access to all of your personal information!

I was called 5 times yesterday  by an unknown number.  The 5th time I answered and a lady (very difficult to understand with her accent) said that my computer has been compromised and junk mail was being deposited into my computer from other sources/people.  She said that if I would allow her to remotely hook into my computer and tell her my iv license she would remove the junk mail and restore my computer to the way I had it.  She did not introduce herself or who she worked for so I asked her phone number and the company name. She said the number is  201-616-0007 , the company is PC Security, and they were based in CA. I told her that I would have someone call her back who would be able to understand her better.  She said that she would call me back in one hour.  No one called back  When checking, the number is a New Jersey number and PC Security came under Domain University in CA.  I am sure this is a scam!  Beware!
