The same thing happened to me today. Call Karen Newman at such and such number, i believed it and gave out my account information only to find out it was fraud. I had to go close my bank account immediately. I AM PISSED.

Got a call today 4th one from this group about a grant from the Govt.  The number they called on is (231) 542-6784. They gave me this number to talk to Karen.  On the other board some of the stories on how they talk to the Ladies makes me sick!!  If you have a Min. Google the # they called me on and read what the others have written something needs to be done!

I just received the same exact phone call. Did not send any money and called "Karen Smith at that number and she told me when she receives my file from the grant dept. she would call me back. OK I am holding my breath...yeah right.

So I got a phone call from yesterday regarding the grant of 10,000 anyways I new it was fake,I guess I was just waiting for the word credit card, bank account then once I told them I don't owned a single thing. Everything change. It was a good laugh for few sec. Karen Newman, grand, 200 independence south, Indian accent, his name and his employee ID. Just wondering how many people get suck in to this. Sad so sad.

I also was told the same thing i was alarmed it was fake because i don't have to pay gor a grant and o went  off there full of s*** o wish i new how to turn them in

Ok, I am so broke and in such need that I wanted this to be so real. But I woke up at like 5 am and decided to search for information about government grants and Karen Newman. Well here I am, disappointed and sick that once again I am merely the victim of yet another fraud and scam. If you are reading my post, I am so sorry that you have to find out that your chance for help is likewise lost.

I was just given this number and told to call and ask for Karen Newman and that I would get a 10,000.00 dollar grant for $150.00 if they had to send me a check.

Thank God this information was here as I also received a phone call from some individual named Jack Smith ( clue right there could be bad ) saying I had been approved for a $ 10,000 grant from the Federal government .   He told me to get the money I needed to cal 202/ 360-4612 and ask for Senior Accountant  Karen .  I would need to pay a fee of $ 120.00 to get this $ 10,000.  He gave me he was calling from US Government Grant Department with address 200 Independence South, Washington DC 20201.

Someone needs to report this to the US Federal Grant Department.

Despite his name ,He had an a definite India accent and all those types of calls turn out to be fake or fraud ! ! !

i got a call from this number saying i was approved for a 10,000 grant but i would have to send a 100 dollar doation to manipur india yeah right

Rec'd a call from a male foreigner from 202-360-4612 saying I was selected to receive a $10,000 federal grant from the 50M federal grants from DC with no payback, no taxes and to use as I see fit.  This money could be rec'd in 3 ways....check, money wired to my bank or credit card.....He knew my phone #, address but never ask or mentioned my SS #...and the way I would be able to collect was to give this number a callback and give his supervisor the access code he gave me...I did not return the call as I stated to him this was bogus and nothing had been verified on the news of free federal grants..

I recieved a multiple calls from this number and when I told one of the representatives I was not interested he called me names and used explatives that I cannot put on this site.  Callers name was Sam and he said his suppervisors name was Frank Johnson.  They called themselves Consumer payday loans.

Got a call today from this number saying that I have been approved for a $1,500.00 loan but had to western union $115.00 first in order to prove that I could make my monthly payments (which were not discussed). I've been had once before with a fake eBay site so I know better than to send off any money to anyone I dont know via western union. This person needs to be jailed!

this guy used nothying but derogatory words. He is a crook. Stop him if you can.

I received a call from this number and they said I was approved for a 2,000 loan and to go to western union to pick it up.  I started laughing at him and he called me a f **** b***h .  They have been calling me every other day and have been saying very rude things.

Received a phone call from this number stating that they were with the government based loan company called Statepaydayloan.  I spoke with a peson whom said they were a head person named mr Lawrence Smith. Said that i could get a loan for 500.00 had to western union 80.00 and would receive 580.00 and would have instructions on repayment of my loan which would cost me 110.00 per mo for five months.
