I, like the rest of you, receive these calls all the time.   Our government is WORTHLESS, especially when it comes to blocking these calls.    Your only other course of action is this:  

Do NOT, under any circumstances, answer a caller you do not recognize.  When you do, all you are doing is confirming for them is that they have reached a viable, working number and then they WILL call you back PLUS they will sell your number to other scam artists so they can call you too.   If they continue to call then first, check with your phone service and see if they have a call blocker service (mine does).   If I continue to receive calls from a certain number then it goes onto my "Blocked" list.  

Also, just pressing 1 or any number they say to remove you from their list is also a scam.   It doesn't work either.   Also, I turn off my answering machine when I am home.  If it answers them, then once again it only confirms the fact that they have indeed reached a "Working" number and they WILL continue to call you.   Have a pleasant day.  Sure am glad too for websites like this.    

Thought for the day:  I Wonder what would happen if everyone stopped answering these calls.   IF they got no more answers then would they just give up and die ?

I will add that by using these tactics, there are days now when I have NO MORE phone calls from scammers!   Only had one in the last three days now.    Please folks, don't answer these phone calls.  Use your caller ID's.  

A few minutes before Hattie Jackson called me, I got a call from someone asking me to vote for Mitch McConnell in the primary. I just hung up on the woman after telling her to take me off her list. Then I got this call. When I call the # back the first time the line was busy. Then there is a message saying the application is not available. Our primary is tomorrow. This is the RNC or it is Mitch McConnell's people. That is just a guess, but Donald Duck gets around.

Did not answer call as we did not know the caller. When we tried to call back caller, got a recorded message that call could not be completed at this time. Probably a scam or telemarketer. We are on the Do Not Call Registry.

No name was audible.  Speaker was encouraging me to vote for Sheena Ramsey Tinsley and not vote for Lionell Malicote for Register of Deeds in Sullivan County, TN as according to the speaker, Lionell was not pro-live and did not possess family values.  Why that matters to one who holds that position is of interest to me.   This kind of campaigning should not be allowed.  The one who gets this message should be told exactly who is calling. I found this call very offensive and should be against the law!  The subject matter had absolutely nothing to do with the qualifications necessary to do this job.

Calls keep coming in, robo-survey crap, no way to unsubscribe or stop that damned harassment.

The call came from "Washington DC", and for the record was sent by the filthy Repukeian committee, and refuses to keep calling like the harassing idiots they are!

Call to area code 605 land line.   Caller ID name read "WASHINGTON   DC".     Disconnected call without answering and will block number.    I'm guessing that it was some sort of political call -- real or scam, I don't know.    I do think the majority of the political sounding calls that I receive are really supporting the candidate/cause stated about as much as Heather or Rachel or John are really giving me my final notice to really lower my credit card interest rates.      

I did try calling the number back after blocking my outgoing caller ID info and all I got was a recording that said "I'm sorry the application you are trying to reach is unavailable at this time."    Whatever that may mean.    

Caller ID said Jackson, Hattie. I did not pick up. Same call came again, about an hour later. BLOCKED.  Grrrr.

I got this call a couple of times recently. I think it's from the Democratic Party. We're having a special election to Congress, and the last time I voted in a primary, it was the Democratic primary, because that was the only one in which there was a contested race. When I vote in a Republican primary, I get calls from the GOP.

That doesn't work very well, because telemarketers keep changing their numbers.

caller is robo-calling me for Republican candidate.  Probably active with both parties.

This person called 7 times in one day and at least 2 times a day. If I answer it is a recorded message. It is a political call and I want to block all political calls as they have no idea what I want. This is a travesty and you cannot call them back. It is unregistered.

Don't believe anything from snopes either.  They are not the most reliable especially when it comes to Dem/Liberal info...They take sides....

Keep getting calls from 202-367-9922. I work nights and sleep days. They call me at least 3 times a week, it is interfering with my sleep cycle and work. How do I stop them from calling? I have called back but get a recording telling me that the number is no longer in use. Very annoying and falls under harassment.

It is from  Study America, they call me 2-3 times a week to poll my voting habits.  I make up a different  scenerio every time.   I never choose anything correctly.   I have tried to call the 866-960-8263 number  and this number back to get taken off the call list but you can't reach anyone.

Fight a scam with your own scam....

I recorded a fax machine tone on my hand held digital recorder.  I recorded the fax tone on my phone answering  machine and let it record and it is the full 2 minutes of the recording that picks up when someone calls.  The Robo dailers hang up right away, and so do the physical callers. I'm down to one or two stray calls a week now.  I also did the same thing by recording and putting the message of "the number you have reached is not in servcie at this time if you feel you have reached this message in error hang up and try again"  THe caller will take you off their list if they get this meaasge 2 or 3 times.

Oh hell - no more executive orders  - The Bro Obama has already issued 953 Excutitive orders - more than all presidents combined in the hostory of the United States.
