Great work, Chris!   These SPOOFCARDS  for those of you who don't know (spoofcard.org), are the worst!  Obviously can't get a job due to their empty skulls with no brains, so they try to harass those of us who work.

Calls from this number are from CWA -- Communications Workers of America. Usually it is a recorded union notice.

I recieve. txt every time I add an email address. This is after Ive contacted the FTC. Any help or information would be greatly appriciatly.

We got the same call tonight  claiming to be from the NAACP!  What are they after?

NAACP calling to invite me to a live telephone "city hall" meeting to protest the Supreme Court ruling invalidating the "formula" for determining which states need federal oversight of voting laws. It seems they are upset that Texas, Alabama and Mississippi will now be able to implement voter ID requirements at the polls to prevent voter fraud.

Message left regarding the recent changes to the voter rights laws.  Asking people to go to the NAACP website for more information.  I am not sure how my number got on their list, but at least it is not a scammer or som slimy dude trying to cheat people.

As John (above) reported, it's a CWA Union number, It's not spam or telemarketing. Maybe you have a previous Union member's old number? Don't know. Both retirees & current employees that are members get these recordings. Again, it's not spam!!! Do as John suggests & c/b the # & "opt out". Simple!

Citizen's concerned about the future of this country use the telephones to contact as many people as they can to encourage them to vote. Voting is the responsibility of every citizen that lives in the US. They are not spamming just being good citizens. They deserve our praise not criticism.

Tried telling them I'm on the do not call list but it is an automatic as soon as you answer they start talking about something about India so I hung up.

This call was from the Communication Workers of America, whoever they maybe. I called the number and got a hold of a real person.

I asked why they were calling and the person she did not know why.  She said the number was associated with some union organizations.

Thank you for putting the other phone number in your message DontSpamMe.... I called it and told them I wanted my unlisted private number removed from their mailing list and she said I needed to speak with someone named Beth who is in charge of that list, and I left her a nice, but strong voicemail.  So we'll see what happens.  The next step is to go to the do not call registry and report them there if this doesn't work.

here's a  few  other  numbers  posted  from  the   same  area  code  offering a  wide  variety  of  scams  /  fake  emails and  scams  after  posting  something  on   craigslist   (  old  scam  )  ...... collecting  for  non  existant  "  payday  loans "....free  money / scam  giveaways /  $1,000's  in  free  gov't  money.........  etc  etc.....stories  change  out  all the  time......and  the  usual  nonsense!!!

**   mysteriously  call to  claim  they  have  several  thousand  of  dollars  to  send  you....just  provide  you  bank  account and  credit  card   right  away   etc etc.........scam scam

several  of  these are  the  usual   long  ongoing  scams   such  as  :  you  have  won a  free  walmart /  bestbuy  gift  card....or  you  have  won a  free  ipad  etc......all  long  ongoing  scams

these  202  ara  code  scam calls  have  been  going on  for  months.........

they  have been reported  like  18  billion  times  on this  site !

call on 5/5/12;  I  live in metro Baltimore.

another call 2 days earlier from "cwa" but from 202-434-1100

Called today again on SUNDAY.  WTF?  Is there NOTHING SACRED to these SCUMBAGS???

WOW. I'm the first one reporting on this number???  NOBODY else yet got a call from these STINKERS, yet?   Called Landline. Caller ID said "CWA".  Didn't recognize; let it go to answering machine; 'dead air'.  That suggests a ROBODIALER.  Now I wish I'd picked up/hung up to break the call and 'confuse' the computer so they are less likely to call back.  CRAP.

THIS HAS GOT TO BE A SPAM/SCAM CALL.  Possibly some POLITICIAN.  SCOTT BROWN???

I tend to VOTE AGAINST the politicians who use ROBOCALLING and recorded POLITICAL SPAM.
