My daughter, Lilian, has brain damage from lead. We tested every inch of the house and all its contents when she was diagnosed at 2. Nothing. The doctors concluded it was probably from the crib she had as an infant. She used to chew the bars on it. We'd long since thrown it out by the time she was diagnosed.

Her infant crib was purchased at Walmart. This really happened.

I called a Walmart store and talked to a customer service representative. She told me this is definitely a scam. If you win anything from them you will be notified by other methods...never by cell phone messages. They would like for everyone who gets these to call the Federal Trade Commission. She said the more calls they get the more likely the police will get involved. That number is: 1-877-382-4357. I hate being scammed as I'm sure all of you do. Nothing is private anymore. So please call this number and report that you received this message by phone and maybe they can stop whomever is doing this.

It is a scam sorta and in order to get the "gift" you need to complete a thousand different things taht cost $  Its a scam.

Also received a text message claiming I had won a $1000 Walmart gift card. Because I never entered to win one, I thought it was a scam--and I was right.
